Betrayal’s Shadow By, K.H. LeMoyne
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Action, Urban Fantasy
 TBR Reviewer: Luta Wolf
Rating: 5 stars- Highly Recommended Read
 Heat: 3- Blush Worthy
Would you risk everything to save another even if you knew perhaps you should walk away. Each night Mia’s dreams summon her to a jail cell where tortured soul Turen lives. Though to help each other would mean breaking a oath cemented in time, it could possible be what saves them both.

I like Urban Fantasies but only if they are written very well. I want no confusion, there has to be depth and detail. Which this author more than delivers, everything was three dimensional in its vivid delivery.
I adore the characters, Mia is vivacious and bold. It might be cliché but it fits that there is just something other worldly about Turen. Together they are simply dynamic with dialogue that is quote worthy.  I truly
enjoyed the new spin on “We must not be together” that we see in their relationship. I also enjoyed that it didn’t take long for Turen to go forget that.

While this is very clearly a romance, there is some theology concepts thrown into the story line that for me personally really added another dimension to this book. It turned a simple story into a full bodied book.

I can’t recommend Betrayal's Shadow enough, it has something for everyone.

Prometheus Unstitched by Lila Shaw
Genre: Contemporary, Superhero, Erotica
Length: Novella
Rating: 5 stars – A Must Read
Heat: 5 – Orgasmic
What’s a girl who makes superhero costumes going to do when a hero makes her anger rise, lust overwhelm and can change her silver streaks? He also faints at the sight of blood and someone is
trying to kill her.

You have to read this book. Simple. It is freaking fabulous! So humorous and hot, what a wonderful read. I’ve never read any story with this plot, or anything similar. Superheroes (the B rated kind), humor, action, hot and well developed characters. Did I mentions the sex? Setting your Nook/Kindle/Computer on fire. So hot.

Lila Shaw delivers a flawless story with Prometheus Unstitched.

Alike As Two Bees by, Elin Gregory
Page Count: 82 pages
Genre: Historical Romance, Gay Romance
TBR Reviewer: Luta Wolf
Rating: 5 stars - A Must Read.
Heat: 3 handcuffs - Blush Worthy.
Philon is not a 'wet behind the ear' youth despite his innocence,  he knows what Hilarion is about when he comes courting. But despite knowing, the sweet way of Hilarion and his scarred, clumsy beauty seduces Philon in a way that no demi God could and so he let’s himself be courted.

I have an Italian friend who makes the best spaghetti sauce ever, and all that’s in it is olive oil, fresh tomatoes, onions, pepper, and herbs. Sometimes from the simplest ingredients comes the best meals ever. Needless to say this story is simple as the plot nor the characters are that original but I found that all the ingredients complimented each other so well that it made a very flavorful story despite the unoriginal template.

This has an almost Dirty Dancing happy for now feel to it. You don’t see how the relationship could possibly work despite how badly we want it to work, not because the main characters are gay but because there are certain expectations for males of that time even when they are allowed to dally with other men. However the book doesn’t end feeling like a happy for now but instead we are given hope, a very simple but nice touch.

There are many characters and each is a bit stereotypical but it truly felt that the author took them deeper and made them more. We have the usual characters of the struggling poor young boy, the rich but mature youth, the bratty spoiled youth, and the father figure boss. However the detail put into them such as the missing tooth and scar on Hilarion, how Philon is calloused and not what you would consider the pretty boy youth, these things took the characters to a new level.

If you couldn’t tell, I loved Alike as Two Bees by Elin Gregory, it left me with a warm gooey feeling.

Cyberpunk Erotica by Ora Le Brocq
Genre: Futuristic, Dark, Erotica
Length: novel
TBR Reviewer: Brutally Honest
Rating: 5 stars – A Must Read.
Heat: 5 handcuffs – Orgasmic.
Welcome to the future, dark, depraved and made for the rich. Zara is among the broke, in a crappy neighborhood, doing illegal thing so she had money for food. She’s captured by the corporation and
experimented on. What will her future hold?

This was unique and dark. The author created a violent world that was genuinely scary and somewhat understandable. The world is ruled by the rich. Zara is a great character, she sick of her life, of a crappy boyfriend and her lack of funds. The experiment changes this in ways that no one expected, including me. I really found this story to be very gloomy but still entertaining. It was really well written but it really did lack that bit of hope. That spark at the end of the book was missing but at the same time the ending fit perfectly.

So I’m going with five stars because I read this book in one sitting (yes, into the early hours of the morning) and I couldn’t put it down. Cyberpunk Erotica is a gritty story about the darkness and
depravity of mankind.

Lethal by Sandra Brown
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Length: Novel – soft cover – purchased
TBR Reviewer: Christine
Rating: 5 stars – A Must Read.
Heat: 2 handcuffs – Flirty.
Sandra Brown, how talented you are! Keeping me up all hours of the night, completely engrossed in the story you weaved. Every book I’ve read by her been wonderful or a favorite.

Lethal is about Honor and her daughter Emily. There is a bleeding man in their backyard and when they go to check on him, he takes them hostage. Coburn is all over the news, mass murdered, focus of
a massive man hunt and now he has Honor’s daughter in his sights. How the hell is she going to get out of this one?

Twists, crazy action, sweet romance and of course, a cute 4 year old that likes to ask a million questions. This book had it all and more. I could not put this book down, too good, so I read into the night and the wee hours of the morning. When I finally came upon the last page I grinned, satisfied.

Lethal by Sandra Brown is the epitome of a five star romantic suspense novel.

Fairy Unbroken by Anna Keraleigh
Genre: Fantasy, erotic
Length: Novella
TBR Reviewer: Brutally Honest
Rating: 5 stars – A Must Read.
Heat: 5 handcuffs – Orgasmic.
This is the third book in the fairy series. Keyn was abused as a child and learned to close his heart to others, which is easy to do when you’re a fairy. The problem is that he has already found his mate he just doesn’t want to claim her. Meanwhile, there are trolls attacking the fairies in attempt to destroy them.

I felt so bad for Keyn. The nightmare and the memories of his abuse was hard to read without tearing up. I really wanted him to find his happy ending. Trillian is having her own issues with a sick brother. Together they’re the world’s worst couple but it made for great entertainment. Trillian was really great. I liked her attitude and then her vulnerability when her brother gets worse. The push and pull between the two is fantastic. The sex was freaking fabulous! The author does not skimp on details so prepare for some serious heat.

Fairy Unbroken is a wonderful tale of two people meant to be together but refusing to go down without a
fight.

Blessed Homecoming by Lorraine Nelson
Genre: romantic suspense
Length: novel (227 pgs.)
TBR Reviewer: Amanda
Rating: 5 stars - A Must Read.
Heat: 1 handcuff - Tame.
Wendy Danforth is a very pregnant, newly divorced woman when she steps off the bus in her hometown to return to her parents' home. Her past threatens both her emotional well-being and her life, but she is immediately attracted to her parents' new handyman, Jake Roberts, a drifter with an emotionally fraught past of his own. Both Wendy and Jake fight the instant attraction between them regardless of the elder Danforths' matchmaking attempts, but as Wendy's ex continues to threaten, events conspire to drive them together.

I found both Wendy and Jake to be realistic, likable characters with real problems and a discernible development of their relationship. The instant attraction was not insta-love, which I appreciated in this story. It definitely made their push and pull believable. I also liked watching both of their pasts come out and be dealt with, together and separately. Rather than a "love cures all" type story, this one seemed a lot more like love encouraged each one to grow and heal. I especially liked the time where Wendy's baby was born and what all precipitated from it. The suspense plotline also wrapped up satisfyingly.

This is the second novel by Lorraine Nelson that I have read, and I think her writing is well-done and she tells a masterfully crafted romance.

Ripple in time Eternal by Mark Alders
Genre: M/M, Science Fiction
Length: Novel
TBR Reviewer: Brutally Honest
Rating: 5 stars – A Must Read.
Heat: 5 handcuffs – Orgasmic.
Wounded but alive, Zane wakes up to humans working with shadow eternals. Humans have volunteered to be hosts for the horrible entities. Now he and sexy Motac are on a mission to save the humans and
get rid of the eternals once and for all. Of course, things go wrong. Eternals are turned into crazy beasts that go cannibalistic. And there are only a few steps from Zane’s bare ass.

What an adventure! The action is fantastic and heart pounding. It had a lot of zombie like action that worked so well. The heat, as always was smoking hot. I really liked the twist and pace of the story. The eternals were given a might blow by the beloved team. There’s also a great wedding ceremony but I won’t say who’s. You’ll have to read to find out.

A Ripple in Time Eternal is the third book in Diary of the Eternal War, a sexy, sci-fi adventure you should not miss!

THRONES OF DESIRE: EROTIC TALES OF SWORDS, MIST AND FIRE
Author: edited by Mitzi Szereto
Genre: paranormal , erotic romance, historical , medieval
Length: 239
Rating: 5 stars - A Must Read.
Heat: 5 Handcuffs - Orgasmic.
This book has something for everyone! Each short was a journey to another world, set in ancient times with an interesting cast. From Dragon riders, to mages, and Knights, it’s a medieval road trip you’ll never forget. The descriptive words flowed like wine and I was drunk with imagery. I was impressed! These authors, healed, challenged, seduced and humored.  The wording was frank and the moments they portrayed were complete, which is striking considering how many different stories they were. The sex smoldered, and the genders varied. No matter what your preference in reading, there will be a tale that intrigues you.

Smart, funny, passionate, and imaginative it’s a miniseries tied together by a common time and unique plots.  I recommend this for those folks who want to get lost in the past without the bits that make you squeamish rearing their ugly heads.

Thrones of Desire brings sexy back to a time that doesn’t normally inspire panty dropping.
