Talk about adventures in a new land! Ms. Baryeh took me on an enchanting journey into a foreign country filled to the brim with a rich culture, colorful people, and in this instance, the politics of business. From the minute I stepped off the plane into Ghana with our hero, business mogul, Thane, I was immersed in the detail rich world. The author weaved with the  great skill of a writer who's been honing their abilities for years. Seeing as how this was her debut book, I was very impressed. The sex is sensual and full of emotions and sexual tension that’s been built up over the course of the book. 

What begins as a business relationship turns into much more over time. When cultural differences, and the job titles they hold get in the way. Thane and Naaki must decide if what they have is worth fighting for. 

This is a different kind of interracial romance because the issues are so culture based. It made for a fresh new read in one of my favorite genres. I highly recommend this book to those
looking for an interesting read, that takes it time and builds up the type of romance you can truly believe in and get lost inside of.

All Chantelle has in life right now is her job and that is riding on her pulling a fast one and snatching the interview with tycoon Lord Mckenzie out of a rival magazine’s hands. What she never expected was for her life to get a lot more complicated once she does meet him and a lot more would be riding on their association than just an interview.

When I first noticed the book I totally sighed because I’ve seen this plot a hundred times. I took a chance though for the simple fact that it takes place in Africa and that really intrigued me. However, while I really did enjoy the book there is a lot of typical plot. Sadly, it did lack originality until you get to the characters. Don’t get me wrong you have the typical
egotistical, handsome, leading man and well Chantelle is every bit the typical jaded female but the chemistry and vulnerability given to these two characters pulled everything together. Through the journey of the book you start to think of these two as people you can relate to and would have a kinship with in real life.

I really wish the author had taken a little more time on the details. The plot could have been slowed down and a lot more been put into the fact that this book is placed in Africa and not just any Africa but a thriving Africa. We so rarely see this that it would have added flavor to the book to have expanded on it. All together though this was an enjoyable chocolate read
that’s recommended to those with a sweet tooth.
