Review
This was a good book but it had many issues that prevented me from giving it a 4 star review. The first and most important is scene changes. Oh my God, they were really bad. It was so rushed and the scenes jumped from one to the next without structure, I nearly stopped reading. Please, get through this because it does get better as the book progresses.
Rowena is a vet teacher that meets a man in her dreams, Jon. Quickly it’s discovered he has the same last name as her mother’s maiden name and they hide from some group of menacing men on horseback in a very compromising position. They are related and they’re getting all touchy with each other. That disturbed me; Jon is a ‘distant relative’ sucking on her nipple. Eww, just eww. It all becomes a bit surreal even for fantasy. The descriptions needed work; I like to envision the world that fantasy books create. A few more details about their surroundings would have added to the story as a whole.
There are twists, turns and some hot love scenes that keep the pace. The plot sounded intriguing but it just didn’t work for me. It had giggle moments that I enjoyed.
If you’re into the ‘dreams could be real’ plots you will most likely enjoy this book.
