Rating: 5 stars – A Must Read
Heat: 4 handcuffs – An Erotic Ride.
M3 was supposed to feed the overpopulated earth. Things go bad and Penny is now in a violent new world where a woman can’t even walk the street alone. She meets ‘mad dog’ who saves her and takes her under his wings. How can these two find love in a world so dark?

To say this was a good book wouldn’t be doing it justice. The story blew me out of reality and into the violent world Ms. Crescent created. Everything about this story from characters to pace to romance even action was pure perfection. Click the buy link below because you have to read this book and sink into this
beautifully written world.

Hope by Sam Crescent is a masterpiece.

His to control by Sam Crescent
Genre: BDSM, Erotica, Romance, Drama
Length: Novella
TBR Reviewer: Brutally Honest
Rating: 3 stars – A good read.
Heat: 4 handcuffs – An erotic ride.

This was an interesting read. I think the author has so much potential. Her characters are good and her plot is well rounded. The problem lies with her writing. It’s very dry. There are no embellishments and the characters actions are always dull. I think with some work this will be an author to look out for. She did a good job with the club details and really bringing it to life. (Yes, I know I used the word good several times, it just describes this book perfectly.)

This is a good look into the BDSM world and the club known as Control.

The Bad Boys' Reluctant Woman by Sam Crescent (The Law Castle Bad Boys book 2)
Genre: menage
Length: novel (112 pgs.)
TBR Reviewer: Amanda
Rating: 3 stars - A good read.
Heat: 4 handcuffs - An erotic ride.
Law Castle is an unusual small town: one in which most "couples" actually consist of three or four people, instead of two. Zoe Howard has spent six months avoiding becoming part of one of those "couples", but childhood friends Jake, Brent and Connor keep pursuing her at the bar at which she works. Zoe, however, has a past spent in the foster system that has taught her not to let anyone close and just keep moving, never putting roots down or making friends.

I enjoyed how each of the three men had his own unique personality and style, as well as his own way of relating to Zoe. However, I just could not see the draw that Zoe had for them. Her prickly personality and cold walls just did not seem to have any pull, so I could not see why the three of them were so certain she was right for them. I think if the book had started with them first meeting and starting to chase her, it might have seemed more realistic, instead of jumping
in at the point where she was about to give in to their advances. There is also a small suspense/drama side plot as well as a drastic secret revealed from Connor's past, all of which could have stood to be fleshed out more. However, once the four of them start to give in to their attraction, the bedroom action is pretty hot! I could definitely see reading more of the books set in this unusual town.

Review

An innocent, full-figured young woman, Lily Jones is the Cinderella-esque member of her profligate family. Her parents and older sister continue to spend like there is no tomorrow, while Lily learns to cook, keep a garden, and clean when all the servants are let go due to lack of funds. Her unlikely savior comes in the form of an older man known to most as the "Beast", who blackmails her into marrying him in exchange for saving her family from losing everything. Unknown to Lily, Wayne Brown has spent two years wanting her and uses her family's monetary situation as the excuse to have her. While they both struggle to find a balance in their new marriage, secrets from their pasts and mistakes in their present threaten any chance at happiness they have.

A thoroughly enjoyable story, I loved reading about Wayne and Lily's fight to create a family against strange odds, and how they both fought against admitting their growing feelings for one another. Lily also continually struggles with insecurities from growing up a full-figured person in a world of size zeroes, especially because her older sister uses that fact to torment her. Both main characters felt like real people, broken by their pasts but trying to heal
within the chance of love. As Lily becomes more secure and Wayne softens, their relationship appears to be the best possible circumstance, but waiting too long to admit his feelings could cause Wayne to lose Lily for good. My only real issue with the whole story was some editing issues where misspellings or wrong words pulled me out of the story. However, I still really enjoyed reading this and will read more by this author.

I recommend Blackmailed by the Beast for any one who enjoys the "rescued-damsel-with-hidden-strengths" type story, or for lovers of "reformed-by-love-businessmen"!

Excerpt

A nice red blush stained her cheeks and the top of her chest. Wayne desired to pull her gown down and suck on her sweet hot nipples. How many times had he fantasised about seeing this voluptuous woman naked? Spread before him on the silk sheets of his four-poster bed?

“Please, give me more time?” Her voice quivered, and her body shook. Deep down, he wanted to take her in his arms and protect her from everything threatening to pose harm. He needed to stay strong.

“I want your answer now.”

“Please.”

“Now or never, Lily.” Wayne pulled away and shut off his emotions.   The time to think with his head and nothing else. “When I get to the door, I better have your answer. If I leave this room without any answer, the debt collectors will come knocking tomorrow. It’s your decision, Lily.”

“Why are you doing this to me?”

Wayne caught her face in his palms. He looked deep into her eyes. “Because you’re the one that caught my attention.”

Without a second look, he walked the short distance to the door, each step like a ticking clock in his mind. Wayne closed his eyes and prayed she wouldn’t be stupid. She wouldn’t test his resolve. They didn’t call him the Beast for nothing.
