Cyberpunk Erotica by Ora Le Brocq
Genre: Futuristic, Dark, Erotica
Length: novel
TBR Reviewer: Brutally Honest
Rating: 5 stars – A Must Read.
Heat: 5 handcuffs – Orgasmic.
Welcome to the future, dark, depraved and made for the rich. Zara is among the broke, in a crappy neighborhood, doing illegal thing so she had money for food. She’s captured by the corporation and
experimented on. What will her future hold?

This was unique and dark. The author created a violent world that was genuinely scary and somewhat understandable. The world is ruled by the rich. Zara is a great character, she sick of her life, of a crappy boyfriend and her lack of funds. The experiment changes this in ways that no one expected, including me. I really found this story to be very gloomy but still entertaining. It was really well written but it really did lack that bit of hope. That spark at the end of the book was missing but at the same time the ending fit perfectly.

So I’m going with five stars because I read this book in one sitting (yes, into the early hours of the morning) and I couldn’t put it down. Cyberpunk Erotica is a gritty story about the darkness and
depravity of mankind.

Heat: 4 handcuffs – An Erotic Ride.
M3 was supposed to feed the overpopulated earth. Things go bad and Penny is now in a violent new world where a woman can’t even walk the street alone. She meets ‘mad dog’ who saves her and takes her under his wings. How can these two find love in a world so dark?

To say this was a good book wouldn’t be doing it justice. The story blew me out of reality and into the violent world Ms. Crescent created. Everything about this story from characters to pace to romance even action was pure perfection. Click the buy link below because you have to read this book and sink into this
beautifully written world.

Hope by Sam Crescent is a masterpiece.

Titan Prime by Mark Alders
Genre: M/M, science fiction
Length: Novel
TBR Reviewer: Brutally Honest
Rating: 5 stars – A Must Read
Heat: 4 handcuffs – An Erotic Ride.
Horrow was a pleasure droid who was tortured by a cruel master and then became aware. He developed feelings, fears and wants one thing in the world he can’t have, love.

This story was so incredible, marvelous, and spectacular. I could go on and on. The way the author created this world of Titan Prime was vivid and wildly imaginative. Poor horrow gets abused and tricked only to be forced to prostitute himself. The harshness of some scenes was so touching and scary. I felt Horrow’s pain and fear, not literally of course, but it came off the pages so realistically. As the story continues, we see new sides to horrow and a particular Captain who wants more that a quick romp. The action is edge of your seat, the sex is freaking hot and the story of Titan Prime is one to fall in love with.

I cannot find one issue with this story. It was engaging, well written and unique. Titan Prime is a heartbreaking tale of a pleasure droid looking for love and finding his soul mate.

Head Shy
By, Katherine Wyvern
Page Count: 35 pages
Genre: Gay Romance, Futuristic
TBR Reviewer: Luta Wolf
Rating: 4 stars - Recommended Read.
Heat: 4 handcuffs - An Erotic Ride.
Never judge a book by it’s cover. No one looks past Laz’law’s looks to see the being and capability underneath. He’s known nothing more than abuse, that is until he is assigned to be with Lune. By first appearances Laz’Law is sure he has just been dumped on some oldie to keep him out of trouble. He soon learns how a gentle hand can sooth not only a horse but the broken soul of a man.

I was so excited when I read the blurb. Then I began to read the book and thought I’d made a terrible mistake but a few pages later and I’m happy to say that I didn’t. This is really a great find despite the slow start. The plot is unusual in that we are transported to a different
planet and a different way of life. Though an abuse plot is not new the way it’s handled in this book is refreshing. There is no magic dick in this book that just happened to cure the abuse, but instead this book shows that it takes a lot of patience and understanding.

I love Lune, maybe because I have someone in my life just like Lune who is very dear to me but I truly appreciate the aging knight character. Laz’Law carries a bit of attitude but it’s used to cover the vulnerability of a very thin skin. He’s been through so much that you just want
to snuggle him.

This book is a really quick but it doesn’t feel like it with all the dimensions added to it. Head Shy is a really steamy, enjoyable read.

Temperature : Bitter Cold
Author: Adam Santo
Genre: Horror Science Fiction
TBR Reviewers: Shyla
Length: 240
Rating: 5 stars - A Must Read.

The second book in the Temperature series takes on a much darker, sinister tone. I was chilled to the bone, riveted and curious about where Mr. Santos was taking me. Our hero Bo is forced to team up with a witch named Zemra to find Sally, our heroine who's been kidnapped in the
last book; I hate to be a spoiler kind of gal but that's a need to know basis for this review. Mysteries and legends prevalent in society are explained with the wit and whimsy I've come to expect from Santos as Bosnic and his partner trek to find someone who can give them the locations of Sally.

Our heroine, newly raised zombie, Sally is having one hell of a bad year! She's just trying to wrap her mind around what she's become, only to find she has powers none have seen in millennium, be threatened with death and finally kidnapped by a religious group of zombie haters. The torture she endures at the hands of top psycho Demric is enough to turn your stomach. But it forces her to explore just what being a necromancer means. If you have images of vile , half decomposes bodies rising from their grave you're dead on and you know just what makes this book so bad ass. One thing I really love about Sally is she's a save yourself kind of girl. ( The best kind in my opinion.) Bo is there to help her get out of tight spots but he's almost a last resort/mentor.

I could on and on about the plot and its wicked twists but that would be ruining. Suffice to say I highly recommend this dazzling jewel. Santos has a way with descriptions and distorting the everyday knowledge we take at face value that makes you devour each page.

Taking the Highway by  M.H.Mead
Genre: Science Fiction
Length: novel
TBR Reviewer: Mark
Rating: 4 stars - Recommended Read.
In future Detroit, there are rules  about taking the Highway. One of these is the Minimum Passenger Requirement that  sees drivers heavily fined for driving vehicles under capacity. This is where  the Fourths come in. Essentially paid Hitchhikers, for a negotiable fee they  will
ride in your car with you and fill the vacancy in your carpool, enabling  you to take the Highway rather than driving the longer side streets. It has  become a legitimate profession but is not without its risks. Because someone has  begun killing Fourths...

This was a great Sci-fi novel that was an absolutely great read from start to finish! Set in a highly realistic and believable future only a stone's throw away from the present, the book is part of a larger series based in a future version of Detroit. The books can be read either in order or separately and feature some cross-over of characters and events but not enough to spoil or hinder your enjoyment. There is nothing here that is particularly ground-breaking but then there doesn’t need to be! This particular book in the series was both original, individual and creative and came as a refreshing change in a Genre that too often can feel overly swamped by depressing visions of  a grim, dystopian future. What the authors set out here to achieve, and succeed in doing I might add, is to create an alternative vision; one that is still breath-taking  but, at the same time, a bit more positive and believable set just a few years  away from where we are now.

The story moves along quickly at a good pace and is populated with realistic and credible characters that the reader can readily associate with. It is a bit of an easy read but if you are looking for something light that is also lots of fun, you could certainly do a lot worse! As much a clever Crime thriller as it is Sci-fi, this novel highly impressed me and  left me keen to read more by the same author. Taking The Highway comes highly recommended from me and M.H. Mead certainly looks like an author to watch  out for in the future for enjoyable, uncomplicated, good quality Sci-fi!

Tower in the Woods by Tara Quan
Genre: Zombie, romance, post-apocalyptic, bdsm
Length: Novella
TBR Reviewer: Brutally Honest
Rating: 4 stars – Recommended Read.
Heat: 4 handcuffs – An erotic Ride.

What a unique idea! At the end of the world, we have zombies! Along with a virgin sniper trapped in a tower, rope made out of zombie hair and some wicked rope bondage. Add that to witty one-lines and extremely well written characters – you have Tower in the woods by Tara Quan

At the beginning, there’s a scene in her POV and then the same scene in his POV. That
was the first hurtle with this book. It slowed down the entire pace and it was redundant. It hurt the book rather than helped. There was a puppy torture reference that I absolutely hated and I nearly put the book down for that single line. It was horribly disturbing and completely unnecessary. There’s also a major hop in the story. They have sex and then jump to a week later, which put a damper on the character’s connection.

Still, after those issues the book comes together quite nicely. The characters were well written and the story itself a solid read. I’ve never read anything that blended a fairytale with zombies. It was a really good idea, the plot was well fleshed out and there were no annoying slow spots. The pace was constantly even. The sex was smoking hot with some bondage. I enjoyed it and would like to read more from this author.

Zombies plus fairytale story plus a talented writer equals a book you must read!

The dying of the light: interval by  Jason Kristopher
Genre: Horror
Length: novel
Reviewer: Mark
Rating: 3 Stars: It was a good read.

Interval is the second of three books  set in the same universe where Zombies or “Walkers” have taken over the planet  forcing much of humanity to retreat to underground bunkers until such time as  they can repopulate the planet. Though they are the last vestiges of  mankind, the separate bunkers find it difficult to co-operate with each other  and get along despite being under constant attack and that’s without mentioning  the feelings of mass claustrophobia that begins developing amongst the  population of Bunker One.

Meanwhile at McMurdo Base, deep in the heart  of Antarctica, one more group of humans struggles to survive in desperate and  dire conditions. There may not be any Walkers but they have their own separate  problems to deal with....

I really enjoyed the first book and the two  short stories I have read that accompany the series so had high hopes for this.  Unfortunately, I felt a little let down and disappointed by this second  installment which, although good, never quite matched the superiority of the
first novel. This was for a number of reasons.

Firstly this book quickly becomes less about  the Zombies and more about the individual pockets of humanity as they struggle  to survive and work together towards a common goal. In fact, the Walkers barely  feature for large chunks of the novel other than in passing. Secondly, the main  plot of the novel jumps around a lot. Not just between McMurdo Base and Bunker
One but also across vast stretches of time. Two years or more can have passed  between chapters and I found this, at times, a little disconcerting and thought  that it broke the story up quite a bit, meaning it didn’t flow as well as  it did in the first book.

It is an interesting take on survival and is a good read because it deals firmly with the practicalities of retreating to an  enclosed space underground for what could end up being decades and looks at the  various problems that could arise in just such a situation. But I just felt that  this time around the plot was slightly lacking when compared to the first  book!

Another thing I felt let this down was that  characters from the short story What Ever Happened To Tom Reynolds feature  heavily and if you have not read this, then many fans may feel a little lost as  to what exactly is going on. What Ever Happened To is supposed to represent a
“lost” chapter from the first book and is due to be included in an anthology of  stories to be released once this series is over but without reading it, I just  felt that many people wouldn’t have a clue  who some of these people were or their relevance to the plot! This I thought to
be a major plot error.

Overall, this isn’t bad but don’t expect this  to be quite as gripping as the first book in the series. A big revelation towards the end almost feels like a bit of an excuse to string out
the series to another book and though I am keen to read it to see how this all  ends, still now I feel a bit skeptical about whether it will reach the high  standards set by the first book! Like I say, I didn’t hate this ~ I just felt a  little let down.

The Outlaw’s Lover by James Cox
Genre: M/M, post-apocalyptic, erotic
Length: Novella
TBR Reviewer: Brutally Honest
Rating: 5 Stars – A Must Read
Heat: 4 Stars – An Erotic Ride

Wow, I have to say I’m impressed. This is the third in the series and I really enjoyed the first two but this book raised the metaphorical bar. The Outlaw was so freaking hot and the tension between him and our main guy Rian is electric. I really liked this plot. The twist was obvious about the town but still I found myself really getting into the world the author portrayed. This is all about survival and finding happiness in a world gone to crap. I really wanted to just
drown in the author’s description. He describes particular body parts like works of art. I’d definitely recommend this book.

The Outlaw’s Lover is an exciting, sexy read that will have you looking around every corner for your own outlaw.

Virtually True by Adam L. Penenberg
Genre: Techno-Thriller
Length: Novel
TBR Reviewer: Kim
Rating: 4 Stars
This is the story of True Ailie. He is recovering from a Virtual Reality addiction and in danger of losing his job as an ace reporter. Then a friend of his along with an eleven-year-old shanty orphan are killed with a futuristic bomb that tracks DNA to assure success. Now he must put together the pieces and find out why they were killed and how it ties in with an earthquake in Japan. Hampered by a corrupt police chief, it's not going to be as simple as it looks.

This was an interesting idea. Set within a dystopian future, the world has changed from how we know it. Some countries have gone and others have been created. True is interesting as the damaged hero, still longing after his ex wife. Recovering from a Virtual Reality addiction and
trying to crack open a worldwide news scoop. This is a lesson on becoming too reliant and therefore ending up hooked on VR. In places it was confusing and the different strands were hard to keep up, but don't let that put you off as it all comes together rather nicely at the end and you will go 'Ohhh yeah!'. It is a little bit like 'Inception' in it's approach and I rather liked that, made it seem a little different to the books I normally read. This was a good techno.
