Very rarely do I find a unique plot that has not been broached before. A Human For Christmas is about the earth dying. The only way to save the species is to send them as pets to aliens called Teathans. Greg Scott, a foul-mouthed soldier is now a pet to Anton. Both males are new to this strange arrangement but they have more in common than they considered. Both are gay and each has their eyes on a particular male.
This was so different. There are two stories going on. Greg and Jarrod, human pets, then there’s Anton and Donnal, Teathans, who want to be lovers. The world that Mr. Alders created was wonderfully strange and a treat of the senses. The stories overlap which really keeps the pace well set and not once confusing. The characters are well written. The ending is very satisfying and sets up for a sequel. One I’m going to be placing on my list to read.
A Human For Christmas is an erotic love story set in a fantastic alien world.
