can't figure out why his heart is bonding immediately with someone who can and will destroy his future. Will the evil forces trying to destroy them succeed? Or will the light and love they have for each other conquer their enemies so they can fulfill their destiny?
This book successfully blends universal spiritual beliefs and virtues with passionate players. Although a little slow in the beginning, it redeemed itself quite nicely after about 60 or so pages. With her finger on the pulse of human emotion and life choices very closely linked with everyday issues, Ms. Eckhart is spot on with the chemistry between our hero and heroine. Their lives are emotionally drained and to the brink of hopelessness, however their determination to stand up for what is right made me want to stand up and yell BRAVO! This is what humanity is all about! The darkness surrounding our characters metaphorically and physically bring realism to a world that does exist in society, and the way she masterfully works out each detail was brilliant.
Although a bit long and drawn out at times, the grammar and writing style were great and quite meaningful. There are life lessons to be learned here, and I hope to see more in this series!
