I love bdsm because it's sexy and I like how pain can become pleasure. I'm very excited about bdsm week. Thank you for the contest!

BDSM is so varied; you can have the super kinky, the pretty tame and the mid-level. But within all the stories, there's this beautiful blend of submission and dominance. Each person knows and agrees on their place within the relationship at the get go. There are surprises, fun moments, serious moments and everything from romance to danger, but amongst it all is knowing that one person submits because he/she wants and needs to, and the other person accepts the responsibility of carefully and fully dominating them in compliance with their mutual desires. BDSM is the most give/take relationship there can be.

I've only just gotten into BDSM. I love the dom and sub relationship. I find it really interesting. I also like how it brings the characters closer together and it makes the romance that much hotter.

BDSM is very much about trust and connection between people. Giving up control or taking responsibility for someone else might be scary, but with the right person it's all fine :)

I have not read much BDSM. Light stuff but I liked it very much. I'm looking forward to reading the darker stuff. Thanks!

How can you not love it?! Being in someone hands, submitting, at their mercy. These books make my fantasies come true. I love BDSM! :)

I love the dynamics between the two. Mutual trust. That the submissive is not the weaker person, but that he/she in fact is the most in control.

I like BDSM because it takes me out of my comfort zone, and it obliges me to see things in a different way

While I'm not a fan of the whole pain/pleasure and submission idea, I DO write about it because I find it fascinating. The level of trust two people need to have in the D/s relationship is rarely found in a vanilla-like relationship.

I love the trust it entails and having to let yourself go and relying on each other. I also love seeing the aftercare.

Consent and trust is key and so is understanding your limits and listening to your partners needs. Boundaries & fantasys heighten ones senses. Fun and erotic to read about!

I love the level of trust both partners have to have in each other and an understanding of the power that that hold in their relationship, as being a submissive does not mean you are powerless. In fact one of the dynamics I enjoy is when an alpha type character submits with his Dom partner or they switch or add a third (submissive) to their family. (twittered and liked)
