Ky has lost his job, got an eerie reading about his true love and finds it’s coming true. But there aren’t one but two guys who might just be the love of his life. Which is the ‘one’ and which is the wrong choice?
I like Ky. He seems like your average guy dealing with average life downfalls. He doesn’t handle it well but who handles being laid off well? It sucks and Ky’s new dilemma isn’t just about paying bills but which of the two men he meets is his true love. I like the idea of the story. It is really funny in some places and romantic in others. There isn’t much meat in the story though, a few places my mind wandered off. Although the story has its slow moments, Ky really makes About You shine.
If you looking for a light read, this is the book for you!

Honolulu detective Quinn Novak has to enter another realm to find scorching-hot sex...how far does he have to travel to find true love?
Quinn Novak is a Honolulu Police Department detective working an unusual case. A string of
robberies have taken place in homes tented for termites in the economically depressed town of Makaha Beach. A gang of thieves appears to be trailing pest control units, then breaking in...so Quinn is assigned watching over a particularly important dignitary's home late one night. Quinn has a problem, however.
He's afraid of the dark.
He's never told a soul and seems to be coping with his phobia until he spies two men breaking in and follows them, despite of the dangers of the pesticide—and the dark. Once inside the house, he appears to enter another realm...one filled with hot men who want...him.
Quinn has the most incredible threesome of his life, but then must leave the house. How the heck does he get back in? And can he? Now, suddenly, he wants to get back to black...back to the dark and the two men he left inside the house...can he ever find them again?
Back to Black sounded like a unique plot and I’ve heard good things about Mr. Llewellyn's writing. It only took a few pages before I liked the main character Quinn. He was spunky, sarcastic and he really worked the story so it was a fun, effortless read. Jackie is his partner along with her husband who were great side characters. Quinn and Jackie are working on a big case dealing with a string of house robberies. J.D is Quinn’s long ago lover but the sparks fly when they’re thrust together because of this case. They always made the scene’s dynamic.
I love the Hawaii 5-0 lines. Yes, I’m a fan and I could watch Steve McGarrett jog with his shirt off for hours. What a yummy man. Anyway, back to Quinn who reminds me a lot of Steve. The more I read, the more I liked his character. He was so refreshing with his banter and wit. This is man on man perfection as he enters the house to apprehend the criminal and the gas takes effect. Or is it gas? Is there some doorway to another dimension where they find Quinn irresistible? Awesome twist. I literally cracked up by the pesticide jokes.
I’ve never been to Hawaii but by Mr. Llewellyn's details I felt like I have. His research was very well done. Despite this being erotica, and yes, some scenes will have you squirm. The story busted through and really gave this another layer. It’s grin worthy in several places, the action was well done and...okay, fine I’ll just say it. This book rocked! I’m officially a fan of A.J. Llewellyn.
If I could give this book a million stars I would. What a fantastic read. Back to Black is funny, sexy and a must read!
