Jo is at her wits ends. She’s trying to care for her daughter but she’s also attracted to the sexy dom. She finds out he’s a vampire and her daughter has a miraculous recovery. Will she ever give in to her feelings or will their kind be simply to much for her to accept?
Neither of them are expecting that zing when they see each other but it makes for a great story. I like Jo. She’s just trying to give her daughter all she can and the only way to do that is to enter The Games. Henri is drawn to her, a sexy dom who also happens to be a vampire. I’m a huge fan of vampires. This is a sexy story about two unlikely people meeting and falling for each other. Oh, and sex. We cannot forget about those sex scenes! Yummy!
Vampires? Check. Hot sex? Check. Great characters? Check. Must read!

Hannah is happy with her job. Her past is complicated with her mother’s abusive ex boyfriends and her focus is on work. That all changes when the new boss comes in. She wants the auction to benefit the company but when the sexy CEO buys her, things will never be the same.
If you like sexy contemporary work place stories than this is A MUST READ! Yes, it needed to be in all caps. What a story. I like how from page one there’s this sexual tension between Hannah and Logan. He’s has a dominant air about him that both scares Hannah and thrills her. Me too. I found their romance a bit quick but seriously intense and an oh my God sexy. There’s some angst and drama added to that sexy too. This would be the perfect read for a couple. I’d like to think of a candlelit room and silk sheets. Hannah and Logan have an intense romance that includes hot bdsm. Yummy, yummy, yummy.
Auctioned to the Bad Boy CEO is a must read!
Josh marries the love of his life and via his uncles will inherits millions. They’re happy but Naomi, his best friend is both happy and sad. She’s in love with Josh. Dawson, Josh’s new husband, is an alpha male in every sense of the word. He enjoyed tease Naomi but could the not so subtle hints be an invitation into their bed?
I like Naomi. She was sweet and kind of shy and a bit unsocial. Josh and Dawson are both flirty. They have a kindness about them along with Dawson’s dominant streak and Josh’s submission. After the honeymoon they approach the subject of the three of them together. In the car. On the way home. I was blushing as hard as Naomi. This leads to a scorching scene that has me running to find my husband. So. Sexy! The only thing I am unsure about is where this story took place. It seemed to jump around with sayings/terms. Honestly, that didn’t really affect the story. This isn’t a story about details and plot. This is all about the sex and the romance. Sometimes that’s just what I need in life.
Dawson, Josh and Naomi’s sexy romance is a seriously hot, low angst read. Her Best Friends Husband would be perfect for couples to read together!

Humans have been marked for and by the dragons for centuries, however they do not know dragons exist. Tattoo artist and dragon shifter Duncan Strannach faces problem when he scents his very human mate. Kerry Jo Watson cannot understand the insane attraction she feels to this dominant man. She came here to get a tattoo checked, not have these feelings for the artist—or get a job as his receptionist. She’s determined to not get involved with the boss. Duncan needs Kerry’s submission of her own free will, and it kills him to keep his distance. The revelation of “I turn into a fire-breathing dragon” tends to wreak havoc on a relationship. In the end, it’s all rather simple. They’re dragon mates, and when Kerry accepts the dominance of her Sir, magic happens.
Duncan, a tattoo artist and dragon shifter has all but given up on his mate coming to him. He is shocked to find his mate and that she is human. From the start I loved Kerry Jo and Duncan together. It is amazing how fate finally brings them together. Their story is fast past, but I like that it isn't prolonged with the dating or miscommunication. I find the way the author wrote this as exiting and sexy. Duncan and Kerry Jo's love of BDSM brings that extra heat to their relationship! I also think the secondary characters to be exciting and interesting. Dragon shifters are not as common as other shifters and I loved the way they are portrayed in this story! I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

Evangeline Prewitt has had better days. Her rent has increased and now she has to pay for car repairs. She asks her boss for help with her financial situation. His solution? Enter The Vampire Games. Evie has her doubts about being sold off to the highest bidder.—Who would want a plump waitress? However, desperate times call for drastic measures. Besides, it’s only sex. What can possibly go wrong? Atlan St. James seeks out The Games for a little distraction. This three-hundred-year-old vampire is drawn to the delicious human. Evie will be his, at least for the night. What neither of them counts on is the instant connection between them. After all, sex is easy. Emotions are far more difficult to negotiate. As far as Atlan is concerned, the only solution is to let his precious angel go. Evie, however, will not let go that easy! The game is on.
From the start Evie’s character draws you in. She has fallen on hard times and we've all been there. She doesn’t expect a three hundred year old vampire to buy her for the night though. Atlan, is confident with himself, and knows what he wants. I really enjoyed this story. Evie's twist of fate really is incredible and then bring in Atlan who is a vampire. That makes it more interesting and thrilling especially when his past life is revealed and what he has been through. I feel like Atlan has waited his whole existence for Evie.
These two and their story are perfection. I look forward to the next book in this series!

If you love shifters and the search for their mates then you have to read Owned by the Alpha. It’s the newest anthology from Evernight Publishing and it’s amazing! Seriously, I couldn’t even begin to tell you which story is my favorite because all of them are tied for first.
Scent of Destiny by Rose Wulf
Taken Mate by Sam Crescent
Finders Keepers by Stacey Espino
The Hunt by Doris O’Connor
Alpha at Altitude by Lily Harlem
Fated to the Razorback Demon by Maia Dylan
Running Home by Michelle Graham
Alpha’s Sunshine by Elyzabeth M. VaLey

It’s like a buffet of hot men, sex and engaging plots! I’m totally in love with this anthology. I think Finders Keepers by Stacey Espino may have inched out in the amazing department. I’ve read it twice and still enjoy every second of the story. But don’t discount the other stories! What an amazing bunch of sexy shifter tales.
Love anthologies? Read this! Love shifters? Read this! Love romance or drama or action....Basically, read Owned by the Alpha!
My, oh my, what an interesting take on the Three Little Bears! We meet our bears Jason, Jacob and Cat. They are brothers and sister bear shifters. How’s that for a creative take on the traditional story? It gets even better. They are all Doms and anyone they love and mate with, they do so together. While you chew on that for a moment, meet Goldie Lockwood. 100% human, Goldie’s klutzy moment enables her to fall hard for the new CEO at work, none other than Jason. He is immediately drawn to her and would absolutely love nothing better than to have his way with her right then and there…but…In consideration of the big picture he starts slow to see how she responds to being his sub. She responds beautifully so he gives her some of the information she needs to make a decision regarding giving herself to all three siblings. Of course, he left out a few little details. Things like the fact that he has already claimed her and oh yes, that they are all bears. When she actually finds all of this out, how do you think she will react? Will she run for the hills or stay?
Ms. Doris certainly knows how to write a spicy, exciting story, that’s for sure! And what a creative take on a long told fairy tale. If she has written more like this, then I have a new author to love. As for love, I am so in love with her depiction of Jason. Of the characters, I felt he was the most fleshed out. I couldn’t go for Goldie. She was a little too simpering for my taste although while I’m not big of FF, Doris managed to make it so hot between Goldie and Cat that I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Jacob could have used a bit more page time and more development in my opinion. The story overall though was terrific. I loved how we were led along with Goldie, almost like bread crumbs, a little bit here, a little bit there, until we were at the big table and ready for the whole meal. And what a meal it was! The BDSM and sex scenes were masterfully done and I thoroughly enjoyed them.
If you want a tantalizing, naughty, hot read, you have found it.
If you like your Alphas gruff, growly, snarly and super hot you need to read this anthology. Each story was so different from all the others and yet they all took you into the world of an uber alpha meeting his mate. I loved the variety of settings and shifters.
Bully Boys –Nicola Cameron 4/5. This story, set in the past, had a Steampunk vibe to it. Loved that she used Staffordshire Terriers for her shifters.
The Alpha’s Assassin – Doris O’Conner 5/5. One of my favorites. A bear shifter assassin’s target is an Alpha wolf, but oh, the wolf is his mate. Let the fun begin.
Discarded Pup – Angelique Voisen 4/5. Wronged and jailed, an Alpha seeks revenge on his pack by taking the new alpha’s boy toy. Instead he finds his mate.
Yellow Eyes – Gale Stanley 4/5. Alpha Wyat doesn’t want anything to do with humans or half breed, until he meets his half breed mate.
Destined – L. D. Blakeley 5/5. This story had it all. There is some horror and some great humor. The human loses a boyfriend and finds a wolf mate instead. The banter between them is great.
Trouble – James Cox 5/5. This was a fun ménage story about bear shifters. And a trip to the moon. I loved how the author turned the alpha pair into a trio.
Outlaw Wolf – Elizabeth Monvey 5/5. The most emotional of the stories, it started off bittersweet. Dekker is willing to do anything for his Alpha. That including giving him up and going lone wolf.
The authors wrote great, imaginative characters and all of the stories had plots that flowed smoothly. All of these authors know how to write smoking hot sex. I thoroughly enjoyed all of these stories.
Panth-Tastic Tale! Doris O'Connor is rather known for her shifter stories, and by her own special magic manages to make them not only exciting but believable and normal! When claims adjuster Kate is hunted down by her shifter mates, she has a hard time coming to grips with her destiny. With the help of roommate Tasha (a shifter herself) she begins to understand the shifter world and her surprise place in it.
Panther twins Arran and Zeb use their shifter heritage as a premier stage act, but their discovery of Kate leads to an act of violence that lands them in shifter council court. Kate may have the means to save her men, but can she withstand the mating ritual with not one, but two sexy panthers?
The opening chapters of this story were a bit hard to follow. Having interviewed the author awhile back, I know she's worked hard at ramping up the sex scenes from 6 paragraphs to 6 pages and she does it effortlessly. She knows what her readers want and the simple plot line provides a framework that allows everyone to enjoy the red-hot action without distractions.
"Lions and panthers and bears....oh my!"

This was a MF anthology involving uniformed love interests. From a fireman, to law enforcement, military men, a female doctor, and NCIS/Federal Agents this book is HOT. The men had one thing in common: Domination. The women didn’t know what spanked them (literally in some stories), which was done in an enticing and enjoyable manner. The writing was believable, the love stories happily ever after, and the characters easy to fall in love with. While the women were submissive in the bed they were all strong women outside of the romantic relationship and it was easy to see how the men fell for them. It would be a difficult thing for me to name a favorite among these, as they were all very good. I will say that Doris O’Connor’s story of a fireman Dominant saving a submissive named Cat from being stuck on her ledge was a great opener. Rhys was a sizzler from beginning to end (pun intended) and it was a wonderfully done Happily Ever After.
I give this Anthology 5 stars for it’s complete and utterly uniform (see what I did there) sexiness. The scenes were all very well done, without being trite. The relationships were believable even when the characters didn’t know each other long. There were some common themes (other than uniforms and dominance) that I enjoyed as well.
