Sebastian is dealing with his mom’s death, being broke and now a rock star that gets him interested in the mile-high club. Ethan is tired. Tired of his music career, tired of fans, tired of the drama. Can a chance meeting make them both find a happy future?
Poor Sebastian. Poor Ethan. This story is about two unhappy guys finding each other. There’s an instant and fantastic chemistry as soon as they meet but the sex happened way too fast! Then it jumps to three months later where Ethan is miserable without Sebastian. They meet again at a concert and Ethan is ready to start something real. This is a very sweet scene that did have me swooning. This story is very rushed though. I wish the author had fleshed the story out to really give us some depth. At 51 pages it needed more meat but there is so much promise in this story that I had to give it four stars.
If you like romance that revolves around music, you’re going to love The Flight!
Avery is an overweight shifter who is unable to shift and upset by her last boyfriends cheating ways. When she meets Fletcher and Mitch she knows they’re trouble but can she resist? Should she resist?
I like Avery and Fletcher and Mitch. They are all good characters but very predictable. I wish the author had given us more. Maybe more world building, or more action or something. Please be aware the men do interact which I personally am a fan of. If you like shifter stories I have no doubt you’re going to enjoy this one. It has sexy men who are in love with an overweight, flawed woman. There’s hot sex and mate fun. The author is very talented, I’ve read several of her other books and they’ve been fabulous. I just wish this story was different from all the other shifter books out there.
Love fated mate stories? I’d say give Queen Wolf a read!
An assassin, Felix, saves a guy, Nick, just looking to save his sister from a bad relationship. Then it turns out that abuser is the one felix has been hired to kill and Nick has some big secrets of his own.
I didn’t like Felix. He’s a middle-aged assassin but the way he talks about killing people bothers me. Like it is no big deal. A boring job. These are people’s brothers, fathers, uncles and he seems so cold about it all. Nick I like. He has some spunk and funny moments also he’s a bit of a badass. He’s just trying to help his sister when he gets caught up in a robbery where Felix saves him. Jenna is more complicated. She wants to believe her relationship with the abusive Q will work out but is also afraid of the way he hurts her. I really feel for her and want to squeeze her hard. Nick to the rescue. Then Felix finds out Nick rented the house next door. Really? What are the chances of that happening? Did I also miss the point where Nick finds out Felix is straight? How did he know? (That may very well be in the book but I didn’t notice it). Felix takes Nick and Jenna under his protection because he has unusual feelings for Nick. Cute! Nick being pushy then decides to make Felix enjoy a blow job even though he’s straight. I actually like that scene. It is hot and Nick comes off as very persuasive. However, Felix suddenly accepting that he is gay for Nick happens way too quickly. It is unbelievable and surprisingly too many sex scenes. What shocked me is Nicks reaction to that big twist, if you read the book you’ll know which one. He shows very little emotion when the scene should have been packed full. The action is well written and exciting.
Overall, there is a lot of potential in The Nullifier. I enjoyed the story but it has some hiccups. I’d recommend this book to any who likes bad boys and quick romance.
Moira is in serious trouble! Her apartment is ransacked, her bank hacked, and she’s being stalked. When she runs, it is for her life and she knows of only one man who can keep her safe. Neil is her father’s friend and he has his own issues, the main one being that he’s a dragon shifter...
I really like this book. I’m up to my neck in shifter stories but with the romantic suspense added to this book I think it really worked out. Moira (love that name!) had a hard past with a criminal father but I like how she’s not the complete damsel in distress. Neil is a sexy, older dragon shifter who finds that Moira is no longer the little girl he remembers. Their romance is splintered with great action which kept me turning the pages.
The romance is sexy and the plot is a page turner, Her Dangerous Mistake is a highly recommended read!
Knox is an assassin hired to catch Mick but this thief turns the tables and captures Knox.
This is different and fun and dark. I really love the way the author thought out of the box with this plot. Both Knox and Mick are great characters. They each have their own demons and I like how it all plays out. The sex is good, I like dabbling in the dangerous.
Caged Killer is a highly recommended read!
At twenty three, Harry is young. Very young to be running his own handyman business. So when he gets the offer to work at one of his artistic idol’s home, he jumps at the chance. Rufus is a well known and loved artist. He’s also twelve years Harry’s senior. And where Rufus is bisexual, Harry is as straight as they come. Or at least that’s what Harry has always thought. So what is it about Rufus that has Harry’s libido perking up?
Both of the characters in this story are well formed and the story is well written. It is fun watching both Rufus and Harry’s approach to first friendship then love. I love watching Harry as he gave real thought to being with a man for the first time. Then there is Rufus as he goes back and forth about giving up his self imposed no relationship status. I love how the author used the gentle back and forth between these two as they felt each other out about their sexual preference, needs and wants. I give this 4 stars because while it’s a sweet, gentle yet hot read, it doesn’t have the emotional impact. Also for those who must have a HEA, this story has more of a HFN with the HEA implied.

Drakon is a dragon shifter who has a secret mission to kill Ryuu’s bloodthirsty father but he soon learns that the tough prince know as Bearer of Blades is his mate.
I really like this story. The world building is fabulous! It’s this strange, unique, fantasy world that I had fun exploring. The characters, Ryuu and Drakon, are wonderful. I enjoy learning about their pasts and how they each crave the same future. My one complaint is the word repetition. ‘He thought’ was used frequently and it threw me right out of the story. The sex is very hot. I like the dragon shifter aspect.
Captive Fire is a sexy, fantasy read.

Jesse and Alex are boyfriends trying to have a quiet vacation away from the spotlight. Alex own a big company and Jesse was his bodyguard.
They check into a bed and breakfast. Have sex and meet a mixed group of folks. Then they are swiftly hiking in the woods and running from a sniper? It was just so jumpy and rushed. When did they get shot at? What did they do? And just when it starts to get good again, the guys escape the sniper and go back to the inn for...food. Just like that? The plot definitely needed work. What I did enjoy and the reason for 3 stars was the characters. They had full personalities and felt real despite the plot. The sex was okay. The scenes were stilted and didn’t flow right with lots of reputation. I know that sounds like a daunting, do not read recommendation but I really liked the characters. If you can find this book on sale I say give it a go.
There was good and bad to this book (for me – and of course that is subjective). This is a nice (relatively) short read from Evernight. The zombie apocalypse has happened (thanks to a meteor apparently) and Lark is one of the remaining survivors, along with her roommate Olivia at school (at least initially). She and Olivia have been fending off the zombies while they wait for Olivia’s dad to show up and rescue them. They’re doing a decent enough job, though they’re stuck in their dorm room. Unfortunately, Olivia gets bitten right as her dad gets there and Lark’s left to flee with Ben and Ben’s friend, Dillon, who is apparently bi and a long-time admirer of Ben in the intimate sense (though Ben has no clue until this book).
There’s a lot of sex, but Ms. Leaf does a great job at not letting the characters get into it too quickly. Lark, Ben, and Dillon don’t immediately act on their feelings. I didn’t particularly care for the sex between Dillon and Ben directly (especially when Lark wasn’t involved), but that’s my personal thing. If you like m/m, you’ll likely enjoy this.
Lark is a strong young woman and I respect her for not being willing to just accept what fate throws at her. She’s definitely a fighter as she proves not only in the beginning, but when she’s taken to what is supposed to be a safe camp, after she believes Ben & Dillon give their lives to let her escape.

Have you ever started a book and halfway through the first page you just know this is going to be a great read. Karma Bites was that kind of book! Boyd has a crazy cousin named Coco who is determined to date him, horrible perfume and scary boobs galore! The very idea gives Boyd the willies so he calls on his best friend, Harrison, to pretend to be his boyfriend. Meanwhile his dad thinks he’s really gay and Boyd starts a kiss with Harrison that surprises them all.
I could not, COULD NOT put this book down. It was short but had a complete story arch with fantastic, well developed characters. Poor Boyd. Poor Harrison. That kissing scene was an absolute blast. Boyd’s dad was so freaking funny. I loved him!
Karma Bites is a sexy short story that shouldn't be missed!
