Amanda is one of the best mercenaries around, but when she meets her new commander, the heat between them makes it hard for her to focus on the job. It all turns complicated when the big boss asks her to spy on the new commander and Amanda is torn between her sense of duty and her own desires.
This is a romantic sci-fi novella, where the author manages to set the scene nicely with just enough description to get a sense of the world, but without long winded descriptions. Amanda is a great main character, a strong confident woman. Commander Wells is a mystery and
remains so even after the story ends, but the chemistry between Amanda and the Commander is palpable. The author does a good job of creating an interesting world, with good romance, good action and a good plot.
Unfortunately the ending is a little rushed, and it left me somewhat unsatisfied. It is absolutely worth a read, if nothing else then for the authors ability to tease your imagination with an
