When a man wants to claim his mate, there is no denying the alpha. This is a five story anthology all about sexy men finding sexy mates and how they go through hell to find their happy ending.
Tortured Heat by L.J. Longo: I’m totally in love with Tortured Heat by LJ Longo. That’s probably my favorite of the bunch. We’re instantly in the middle of it but the author does a fantastic job of explain what’s going on so the reader isn’t lost. There are lovers betraying, twists, torture, shifters, magic, yummy sex and a really interesting plot. I would have totally given this story 5 stars by itself. (5/5)
If You Can’t Stand the Heat by Pelaam: This story was okay. It was very jumpy. I honestly found the story a little boring and predictable. The sex also felt very rushed. There was some action at the end. (3/5)
Five Dollar Mate by Angelique Voisen: Cal just went through a really bad breakup and he’s selling everything in his apartment for…five dollars. Everything. Diesel is the shifter that won’t leave until Cal agrees to a date. Cal is way too trusting of this complete stranger and not only do they go on a date, but they have sex in the park before the night is over. I just couldn’t get behind Cal and Diesel. Their actions made me cringe. Then they’re talking about not breaking each others hearts and it happens way too fast. Things did get some action when Pierce (Cal’s ex) returns. (3/5)
At the Edge by Nell Rockhill: This is actually a confusing story at first. Did he choose to be wolf or was he stuck like that? It is very muddled. The drug Allum is confusing as well. I wish that would have been explained better. I didn’t feel any heat between Sorrel and Ari. When Sorrel is naked Ari barely notices and yet they’re mad for each other? I did like the way the author dealt with the Allum addiction and how that played out. (3/5)
Hunted by His Alpha by Marie Medina: I loved the world building in this story but the romance happened way too quickly! Two pages in, after just meeting, they’re talking about sleeping with each other. The mating hunt is a fun idea though. (3/5)
This anthology has a range of interesting stories. If you love erotic tales with fated mates then you’ll probably enjoy Denying the Alpha: Manlove edition

Owned by the Alpha Manlove Edition is, as you probably guessed, the m/m version of the anthology from Evernight Publishing. If you read m/f then you have to check out that version! As for the man on man, alpha shifter stories ... I really loved some of them.
A Tiger’s Luck by Maia Dylan
Last Alpha Standing by James Cox
Mooncrest by Jules Dixon
His Guardian Panther by Elena Kincaid
The Scarf by L.J. Longo
A Matter of Trust by Pelaam
Conflict of Interest by L.D. Blakeley
Let’s start with the good, and when I say good, I mean amazing! Conflict of Interest by LD Blakeley and Last Alpha Standing by James Cox are, hands down, my favorites. They are edgy and wild. I totally fell in love with the characters! Eamonn in Conflict of Interest is freaking adorable and funny. Gah, love him so much! Their romance is entertaining and sexy. Marcus from Last Alpha standing is so damn hot. I want him. I want him now! He is sweet when he talks about his brother but also sarcastic and a serious badass. When he meets the beta prince, Christopher I definitely felt myself swoon. These stories really grabbed me. I know I’m going to read them again and again ... and again.
The others stories range from really good to okay. I think they’re a combination of interesting and promising. Although I got this book for an honest review, I still would have purchased it. For those two phenomenal stories alone, hell yeah, I would have bought it. I found some new authors to add to my tbr pile.
Owned by the Alpha: manlove Edition is highly recommended!
This Alpha wolf meets his match in a feline shifter, who not only steals his wallet but his heart as well. It’s a fun journey watching as they make their way into a happily ever after. This story is sweet, fun, hot and all things you want to read in a short story. There is also conflict and drama as well as hot love making on these pages.
Lyall is an Alpha wolf of an all Omega pack. He’ll do whatever it takes to care for his own. Niko is both feisty and compassionate. He’s trying to care for what is really his brother and his own little pack. Bryan as the bad guy is written wonderful in an ‘I want to hate him’ evil way. And Manu is the character who is such a character.
Pelaam does a beautiful job writing these characters, I loved them and yet the two main characters are so different from each other. However, I was left wondering about the backstory about the conflict between Lyall and Bryan. The writing is smooth, pulling you into the pages. For a short story you are emotionally invested in the lives of Lyall and Niko. If you’re a Pelaam fan this is a must read. If you’re a fan of cross shifters stories, then I highly recommend this one.

Uniform Fetish is an anthology with manlove stories that all have one thing in common, the love of a good man in (and out) of uniform. The stories range from setting but all were focused on the love interests hot steamy encounters and relationships with men in various uniforms. From flight attendants to military veterans, police officers to firemen, pilots to restaurant waiter, this is a must-read for the uniform obsessed.
I typically do not read anthologies however I have to say that I loved this one. Every story not only depicted true and believable, hot steamy (soooo steamy) romance between the men in the story, but also emotional plot and happily-ever-afters that were absolutely touching. Elizabeth Monvey’s Rain and Promises story of love and near tragedy brought me to tears but had me smiling (and hot) throughout. Nicola Cameron’s Fine Dining was a sweet but sizzling story about love found in the most unlikely of places. All of the other stories were on the same level of awesome. Every story had absolutely mind-blowing scenes of eroticism between the male love interests. I would recommend this read to any M/M reader or someone who is looking to start reading manlove erotica. I give it five stars for the fact that consistently this anthology is amazing and there were no areas that I would improve. Be sure to read each story!!
