A Bear’s Baby is a standalone book in the Kalispell Shifters saga. This is Brady and Jenna’s story. Brady Walsh is a hardworking, good-looking, extremely well off bear shifter of marriageable age. Due to a possible soil contamination, he has been ordered to stop construction pending investigation. Jenna Paxton is his new attorney, retained to assist him with keeping the delay to a minimum. Having never met before when they do, they are drawn to one another, like moths to a flame and the hot shifter/human sex is on. This continues even though they both have misgivings – Brady that she’s not a shifter and he doesn’t want a relationship and Jenna that he’s a client and you just don’t sleep with your clients, no matter how gorgeous they are. This goes on and on, back and forth, all the while he is introducing her to more of the Shifter community. Of course she has a secret that she hasn’t told him and he hasn’t quite gotten around to telling her that he’s a shifter… even when he discovers he’s falling for her. Will they work it out in the end?
t is a Romance after all but it sure is a mountainous trek along the way. This is the second book I have read from this series and I am really enjoying it. I want to know what is going on in the background. This is a refreshing twist, a new point of view from the typical male shifter and I liked it. And the storyline is certainly exciting! So much going on that you could not possibly be bored but yet I knew exactly what is going on too. And the sex. Hot and Steamy!!! Whoo! Cold showers (or naked runs through the snowy forest) will be needed, so be prepared! Editing was rough, so I took off a point for that but otherwise thoroughly enjoyable and recommended to Shifter lovers!
With this being the 9th book in the series, I wondered if I would be missing out on part of the story having never read any of the Kalispell Shifters novels before. My concern was short lived. This story introduces Chloe, a young pregnant woman whose plane crash lands near Flathead Lake in Northern Montana. Frightened, hurt and on the run, she goes into premature labor while pinned under some of the wreckage. Thankfully she is rescued by a bear shifter Dr. Ash McWilliams and his friends and delivers her baby daughter, Sophie, without problem. The shifters have a hospital nearby and are pros at keeping secrets so they offer to take Chloe and Sophie there to allow them to recuperate in peace. While there, Chloe and Ash find a growing mutual attraction. By the time the girls are ready to leave the hospital, it's been decided they will stay nearby. Eventually Chloe's past comes back to bite her though and she is taken from both Sophie and her safe haven. What can Ash do to save them all?
I really enjoyed reading Protected by the Bear. It was not overly heavy or deep and it was full of warm fuzzies...even the Grizzly kind. I liked Chloe as a person and that she stood up for what she believed in. When Ash's bear was drawn to her I figured he had one smart bear. Truthfully, they are good together and he is adorable with Sophie. And their intimacy was hmmm...yummy! Another character I really liked was Hannah. She was so helpful and good to Chloe...kind of like a big sister. I plan to look into the books in the series to see if one tells more of Hannah's story. In the end, it all felt a little rushed. The Epilogue made it very clear that Brady is a trouble maker who will be back and we have not heard the last from him to say the least. I'd say this is a super choice for shifter lovers, especially bear shifters.

Hannah Morrison is new to the area, relocated to be near the place where her son was conceived during a one-night stand. She's not hunting the father down, but it would be nice if he knew his son. The son, Sam, is not quite like other children and has been diagnosed with autism. Enter Bear McWilliams, the new Ob/Gyn in town – the nickname Dr. McDreamy isn’t far off and he’s being pursued by every shifter woman from miles around. Hannah isn’t one of those, and while not exactly playing hard to get, she’s keeping a little distance. Maybe that’s what caught his attention at first, but there’s more . . .
I really liked this book. Paranormal draws me right in because there are no limits to what a writer can bring to their world. Ms. Devereaux did that for me and with a twist I was not expecting (no spoilers from me). Her characters are well drawn and plausible and their journey together doesn’t feel rushed. I love the interaction between Bear and Sam every much as I did between Bear and Hannah. The only reason this didn’t hit a 5 for me is the editing, a few wrong words, misspellings, etc.
If you’re into shifters, check this one out!

Mail order bride is traveling with her cousin, also a mail-order bride. The cousin dies en route and when she arrives in Grantsville, she meets both prospective husbands. They all get along and she decides she wants and will accept both of them, though she knows it will never be accepted by the people around them.
I think this could have been a better book if there had been even an attempt to make it realistic seeming, not just a menage to have a menage. I truly have trouble swallowing a 19th century woman would so blatantly and fully ignore all social mores of the time to take up openly with two men. There was never a discussion of trying to keep the fact that there are three of them together a secret. And she pays the price socially. However, there was definitely some pretty hot sex in this book, and I did actually like all three of the main characters. So – not for me because of the complete disconnect with what I perceive of the times, but I wouldn't object to reading another from thus author.

Another shifter book? Eh, I wasn't too excited. Blurb sounded really good though. All right. I’ll give it a try...and BOOM, fell in love!
The beginning just gripped me. I was on the edge of my seat watching Lilly try get her daughter from that abusive bastard. But the scene ended with a gunshot but there was no information on who shot him, or what happened until later in the story. That was too abrupt. At least let us know the jerk got what he deserved. As you can see, this book fired up my passion. Christopher: sweet, tough, flirty, hot, bear shifter. Oh, yes, I liked Christopher a lot. I really wanted him to be the hero in Lilly’s life. The editing was a bit rough. The sex was good but it wasn’t balanced. It was no sex, then two sex scenes in a row then nothing for a while again. However, the way this plot played out was just so completely romantic. I fell in love with the characters. When her bastard ex came back and well, that whole scene!. Oh, Christopher!
This story was a solid 4 stars, if I could give half, it would totally be 4 ½.
Loving the Bear is a romantic read about finding love when you need it most.
I absolutely loved how this book started. Everyone can relate to some idiot riding their fender in dangerous weather. Turns out the idiot that was on Sophia’s bumper is a sexy cowboy that will change her life.
I loved the authors description of Flynn, I could see him perfectly and I’m pretty sure I started drooling. Sexy, right? Damn, Flynn was gorgeous, if a jerk of a driver. Then both their flights are cancelled and the hotel has a mix up. It seemed like fate was throwing them together weither they wanted to or not. So cute! I really enjoyed this short story. The characters were wonderful and the plot romantic. The only issues was that the scenes were jumpy because of all the Point of View changes. Normally, I’d bitch about spending time alone with a stranger but for some reason this pair worked out well. I felt their connection. The romance was so very well written.
If you want sweet and sexy without much angst, Christmas with a Cowboy is for you!
Whitney was an English teacher, after a hostage situation she runs back to her hometown trying to figure out what to do with her life. Colt, is the father of her former brief boyfriend. One she always had her eye on but was too shy to bother with, until now.
Colt could be described as arrogant, too confident, but for some reason it really freaking worked for him. I felt myself blushing as much as Whitney. He was such a dominating older man, and so well written. Whitney was so shy and emotionally damaged from her past. I wanted to see her happy ending! The editing was rough in places and some of the dialogue was a bit awkward, especially during the sex scene. Fortunately, the story was great besides those points. The characters were perfect and the plot really
romantic. Colt will be one of my favorite older men from a book, and that list is pretty short. Yes, I liked him that much. *sighs dramatically*

Glen returns home from serving a tour in Afghanistan. While away, his aunt helped him out by watching his dog. His aunt, who fell ill while he was away, gave his dog to a dog sitter for the rest of his tour. Glen goes to the dog sitter, Ava, to pick up his dog and sparks fly.
This story wasn't something I'd call amazing but it was short and sweet. The story dove right in as to what is going on during this time in their lives. It didn’t take long for both Glen and Ava to act on their attraction to each other. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this short story about two people falling in love. It brought a smile to my face at the end knowing that they are going to be okay.
