A storm hits New York that lasts for weeks. Streets flood. Houses collapse. Citizens are evacuated. The city is in ruins. Nox has had a rough road to survive. His father killed. His mother in a retreat and ignoring his pleas for help. After a wild night that ends up with him carry a baby home to protect it, Nox hides. The city is slowly rebuilt but not by those who wish to reclaim its former glory. It’s built up with casino’s and drug dealers. By day Nox works in construction, by night he roams the street trying to keep the drug dealers away from his blocks. All he ever wants it to keep his son Sam safe. But Sam is not his biological son and the past that gives him nightmares will soon catch up to them. And it all revolves around an extremely sexy prostitute named Cade...
Sounds good, doesn’t it? It’s not. It’s freaking amazing! The characters are fleshed out and engaging. Nox is a badass who is only trying to protect Sam but he has a hard time fighting his growing feelings for Cade. Meanwhile, Cade the prostitute has a lot more depth than anyone gives him credit for. The world building in Who Knows The Storm is stunningly brilliant! A post apocalyptic city, gangs, addicts to a drug called Dead Bolt, money-grubbing casino’s, legal prostitution. It is all wonderfully rich with description. The sex is so freaking hot. This book is 5 stars all the way. That ending was seriously nail biting! It was a bit of a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to read the next book in the Vigilante series.
From the sensual romance to the intense twists, Who Knows The Storm by Tere Michaels is a MUST READ!

Sometimes I don’t want to write a review, I just want to scream out loud about how much I loved a book. This was that kind of book. Okay, so I’m going to try for full sentences without too many exclamation points...
A C-minus in an easy college class, that’s how Parker meets Adam. Then the entire world is infected by some kind of virus and they look a lot like zombies. Keep the lights off, the world just got a whole lot meaner. While Parker and Adam try to survive, Adam keeps a dangerous secret: He’s a werewolf.
Hey, it’s good to have a werewolf during the zombie apocalypse. Just saying. This book is fabulous, scary, sexy, amazing, humorous...full sentences, right. Oh, one more word. Epic! Parker is a sweet guy who thinks of himself as a loser. Adam is sexy, muscular and brave. Their chemistry is perfect. The action is intense. The pace is balanced between romance and plot. Even when Adam’s secret is revealed it is completely believable. I could not stop reading! The sex is extremely hot. Yup, I’m blushing. There are a few questions at the end that I hear are going to be in a sequel! Do they find a cure? What about the other werewolf who I shall not name and ruin the surprise? What about Parker’s brother overseas?
What a ride! If you’re going to read one book this year, it HAS TO BE Kick at the Darkness by Keira Andrews!
Heart of a Hero (The Triple Towers #1)
Author: James Cox
Genres: M/M romance, dystopian, BDSM
TBR Reviewer: Amanda
Rating: 4 Stars – Recommended read
Heat: 4 – Smoking Hot
Kallen is praised as a hero - he has stopped a war, killed a spy, and now has a coveted spot in the Triple Towers, the only echelon of safety and luxury left in a dry, desert world. But there is more to the story than anyone wants to hear, except for Lorn, whose brother is the dead "spy" and who knows that Kallen's story cannot be true. Together they search for the truth against all odd and regardless of personal danger.
I struggled to rate this book - the ending was pretty abrupt, but with it as the start of a series, that can be overlooked. I enjoyed the interaction between the two men, especially once Kallen got over being afraid of Lorn. Mr. Cox does a fantastic job of creating characters that can be cared about, and my heart wanted good things for them both. The one-liners punctuated the story well. Just as the characters dug in, BOOM!, the spy was revealed. I will certainly seek out the next book to see where the characters go from here.

Stay with me here, The Virus Maker is the 4th in a series but it’s about the Virus first breaking out where the rest of the books in the series are about the Virus after effects. So essentially this could be like the first book in the series. It was interesting how the timeline played out with the books. They could be read first to last or last to first.
Now, to the meat of the review. Fabulous! I really loved flirtatious sheriff Jace. He was so freaking adorable and there were funny one-liners. He was by far my favorite out of the trio. Colton was
great too. He was trying to save the planet but things took a turn and well, you’d have to read it to find out. Then there’s Mitch, who’s like the ankle bracket to a great slinky outfit. The three of them together lit up the page all the while the storyline kept pushing along nicely. I really loved this book. I’m
definitely getting the other books in this series!
The Virus Maker will make you a fan of James Cox writing style and his post apocalyptic world!

M3 was supposed to feed the overpopulated earth. Things go bad and Penny is now in a violent new world where a woman can’t even walk the street alone. She meets ‘mad dog’ who saves her and takes her under his wings. How can these two find love in a world so dark?
To say this was a good book wouldn’t be doing it justice. The story blew me out of reality and into the violent world Ms. Crescent created. Everything about this story from characters to pace to romance even action was pure perfection. Click the buy link below because you have to read this book and sink into this
beautifully written world.
Hope by Sam Crescent is a masterpiece.
Temperature : Bitter Cold
Author: Adam Santo
Genre: Horror Science Fiction
TBR Reviewers: Shyla
Rating: 5 stars - A Must Read.
The second book in the Temperature series takes on a much darker, sinister tone. I was chilled to the bone, riveted and curious about where Mr. Santos was taking me. Our hero Bo is forced to team up with a witch named Zemra to find Sally, our heroine who's been kidnapped in the
last book; I hate to be a spoiler kind of gal but that's a need to know basis for this review. Mysteries and legends prevalent in society are explained with the wit and whimsy I've come to expect from Santos as Bosnic and his partner trek to find someone who can give them the locations of Sally.
Our heroine, newly raised zombie, Sally is having one hell of a bad year! She's just trying to wrap her mind around what she's become, only to find she has powers none have seen in millennium, be threatened with death and finally kidnapped by a religious group of zombie haters. The torture she endures at the hands of top psycho Demric is enough to turn your stomach. But it forces her to explore just what being a necromancer means. If you have images of vile , half decomposes bodies rising from their grave you're dead on and you know just what makes this book so bad ass. One thing I really love about Sally is she's a save yourself kind of girl. ( The best kind in my opinion.) Bo is there to help her get out of tight spots but he's almost a last resort/mentor.
I could on and on about the plot and its wicked twists but that would be ruining. Suffice to say I highly recommend this dazzling jewel. Santos has a way with descriptions and distorting the everyday knowledge we take at face value that makes you devour each page.

Heat: 4 handcuffs – An erotic Ride.
What a unique idea! At the end of the world, we have zombies! Along with a virgin sniper trapped in a tower, rope made out of zombie hair and some wicked rope bondage. Add that to witty one-lines and extremely well written characters – you have Tower in the woods by Tara Quan
At the beginning, there’s a scene in her POV and then the same scene in his POV. That
was the first hurtle with this book. It slowed down the entire pace and it was redundant. It hurt the book rather than helped. There was a puppy torture reference that I absolutely hated and I nearly put the book down for that single line. It was horribly disturbing and completely unnecessary. There’s also a major hop in the story. They have sex and then jump to a week later, which put a damper on the character’s connection.
Still, after those issues the book comes together quite nicely. The characters were well written and the story itself a solid read. I’ve never read anything that blended a fairytale with zombies. It was a really good idea, the plot was well fleshed out and there were no annoying slow spots. The pace was constantly even. The sex was smoking hot with some bondage. I enjoyed it and would like to read more from this author.
Zombies plus fairytale story plus a talented writer equals a book you must read!
