This was a really good book. It is slow in some places, but that’s my only complaint. And I do mean slow moving to the point where I started to lose interest. However, I like the depth of the characters and how real the situations felt. Payton is shy from his past but when he starts to open up it really brings his character to life. Beckett is a former football player who has his own issues. Together they create an entertaining story of...well, of loathing and love.
