Megan is an undercover DEA agent trying to finish up the case she’s been undercover on for five+ years. Her current watcher (she’s a stripper, and there’s always another agent/law enforcement type on hand just in case when she’s stripping) has moved on, and he’s been replaced by Simon. Both have felt an attraction, though never said or even acknowledged it. Until they get teamed up and have to act as a couple, to give Simon a reason to be on hand while she’s stripping. One kiss and they’re all over each other.
Strangely, I actually bought into the (for the story) insta-lust, because it was established that they’d been attracted for months already. The plot moved quickly and I enjoyed Megan bringing down the bad guys. This book dropped to a three-star rating because of the long ending. It was so slow moving. Thirty percent of this book was after that point. But the plot, while it was there, was good. I enjoyed His Undercover Lover.
