reality far eclipsed the fantasy.
The are some good points to this book. The plot is not one I’ve come across before and I found it very interesting. I loved the details which really brought the world, in which the story is based around, alive. That being said, it could have been better and with the writing ability that this author has, it should have.
The beginning is very confusing and I had to re-read several times to figure out who was who and what was what. You get the general feel of the characters but no real depth. We know that Nya is laid back and not quick to anger. Hyfor is very dominate but Nya’s happiness is more important than anything else. Other than that we don’t really get to know the characters better, which is most likely due to the very rapid pace of the book.
Honestly I feel that if the author had just given a little more depth and length, this would have been an entertaining read. As it is, while not bad, it did lack.
