Dark, mysterious truck driver Will Brennan oozes sexuality and Cara finds herself drawn to him. He brings her to a higher level of sensual pleasure than she even imagined could be possible. As their relationship explodes into something real, she learns he has more than a few quirks-he sleeps by day and prowls by night.
At his home-a castle-nestled in a wooded area just outside Memphis, she learns just what his sweet love tattoos really mean and must decide if she wants another. Whether or not they find their happy ending is all up to Cara.
To be honest, I found Cara very funny, but you can take her analogies as a bad thing, depends on what type of reader you are. The author was very creative with the metaphors used, and some made me laugh! There were so many adjectives it buried the story. You're immersed in her mind, her thoughts, all the craziness! More focused on them than the acts, I dare say.
Overall, this book didn't get me hooked, but it was a fun and sweet read at times. It started a little rough, but got better on the second chapter and after some ups and downs. The beginning was a bit confusing, mainly about how the phrases were structured and there was a lot of problems related to pacing and focusing on the plot. The secondary characters could have been better explored too.
In the end, this is romantic story focused on the relationship between the two protagonists and the platonic love they have for one another. If you enjoy paranormal romance you can see the potential this book has.
