I'm going to start this review with the bad points. Obviously, head hopping. This seems to be in all of Nora's books. The big bad for me is killing off a beloved, beautiful, old and blind dog, viciously. I had to skim that section because it was disgusting.
Now, the good, which is everything else. Meg is feisty and unique, I instantly liked her. Nate is sweet and wounded perfection. These two are one of my favorite couples. This story has humor (See town antics for serious laughs), action and mystery. At over six hundred pages this books pace is brilliant. It was never slow and always engaging. The descriptions of Alaska are stunning. I felt like I was there. And the mystery was perfectly weaved.
Northern Lights is a highly recommended read!
