The world this author creates is by far the best aspect of the book. It’s sci fi but not overwhelmingly so. It’s really beautifully done. The romance is too instant thought. She meets this cyborg/man after he kills his previous handler and in the same scene, she starts undressing for him. The relationship does build and by the middle of the book, it feels real. There is a rape scene. It’s glossed over but still very emotion to get through. It adds to the cruel world humans have created in the future without going overboard. Very well done. There is lots of action. Crash and Gap, fellow cyborgs, are adorable. I really love the banter. That ending is wonderful and sweet and crazy good. I look forward to reading more in this series.
Releasing Rage is a highly recommended read!
