My perfect prince charming turned out to be a vampire.
basically a servant to a slayer. Think Robin to Batman.
Locked in a battle ever since he stole her virginity, McGregor and Bunny have spent years playing cat and mouse. He chases, and she runs and hides while taking potshots at what he loves most, his vintage car collection. If you’re a fan of old cars, the skunk bombs, and explosion incidents will make you cringe. Ms. Bunny may only be an Alfred but she has some nice toys! Earrings that are UV bombs! I like the way Ms. Koger’s mind works. When Bunny
discovers she and McGregor have a common enemy, everything changes.
I wanted to like the story more than I actually did. It was a humorous take on vamps and weres in the city of sin. Ms. Koger is witty, and creative. I think if she had put a little more time into the characterization it would have made a huge difference. As it stood, the story was so action packed I never really got a chance to know the characters. The Nasty Vamp had an air of unbelievability that kept me from really getting into it. I know it's fiction, but there has to be something in the character you can relate to and I didn’t find that here. The sex wasn’t closed door but it was brief and glazed over. I’d love to see future work from Ms. Koger. I think next time she’ll nail it on the head.
