Oh, Snow White's 'sister' is taking revenge on their mother's death. Rose Red (Fabulous name!) takes guilty men into the forest and kills them. An unexpected blizzard knocks her into the river. She's saved by Marcus, a sexy, mysterious man that's been watching her. They soon find out they both have the same goal: To kill the sorcerer. Then Red grabs his privates and knocks Marcus out...
Yeah, Red was FABULOUS! I liked her right away. She was tough, smart, strong, beautiful and she did what she had to do. Marcus was a great, not always so angelic, guy. The chemistry between them was sizzling. I loved the bear shifter twist! This plot was unique, great pace, great everything...almost. So If I loved the book so much why 3 stars? The author used the 1st point of view (I, me, my) for EVERY character. Why?! Why would you do that?! Not only was it confusing to follow who was who but also tedious. Why not change it to 3rd (He, she)? It's also written in present tense which is not done often for a reason. It made the story almost annoying urgent even in the soft, sweet scenes that I wanted to savor. Despite that, this was still a good story.
This is definitely an author I'm going to be keeping a look out for!
