hiring new teachers, not knowing what to ask them. Once Saoirse is in his office, Diego can’t concentrate because his wolf loves her smell. When it turns out that she is the best-qualified candidate, Diego and his wolf rejoice, because both are convinced she’s their mate. But she’s not a shifter, so they need to bide their time, waiting for the right moment to inform her that she’s living in a compound of mostly wolf shifters. Can these two find happiness together, once the scientist discovers that myth is reality? Sneak Peek:Diego, the principal, is dressed as Zorro--and Saoirse, the science teacher, is a gypsy. They're the chaperones at a Halloween party for the academy teenagers. When some security guards stop by, she ducks out to use the bathroom. She was just walking back in, when her hand was grabbed from behind a curtain and she was pulled onto a balcony. Her momentary confusion changed to delight when she realized that Diego had taken the opportunity to grab a few stolen moments in the dark, now that their chaperone services were temporarily unneeded. He leaned against the wall next to her, stroking her curls glowing coppery in the moonlight. "How could I resist such an attractive gypsy woman?" he asked in a low, husky voice. She smiled coyly at him, batting her eyelashes. "Why, sir, are you bothering with a lowly peasant woman like me?" He leaned forward, using one finger to tilt her head upwards. "Because if I don't kiss you, I'll never forgive myself." With that, his lips brushed against hers lightly. The tingle that ran through her body made her blood boil. She leaned against him, enjoying the feel of the hard muscles under his skin. He increased the pressure of his lips, and she met him with equal passion. With a low moan, she opened her mouth, and their tongues caressed each other, tasting each other's passion. He pressed her against the building, using his hips to capture her, introducing her to the insistent bulge that threatened to rip through his pants. Her heart was already racing, but feeling how much he wanted her increased her arousal. Her hands explored his chest, heading up to his shoulders. Their width made her dizzy, imagining how it would feel to be pressed down by their strength, while the thought of becoming better acquainted with his rock-hard erection increased the tingling sensation all through her body. Diego was fighting hard to control his wolf. Take her now! I can't! We're in a public place--we're the adults. We have to go back into the party. Take her now! Taste her. Smell her. She belongs to us. We need her! This was not the first time ever that Diego wished he could give in to the wolf's desires. Everything was so simple to the wolf--you take what you want, and to hell with the consequences. Right at that moment, he'd willingly risk anything, to plunge himself into this willing woman--to give them both what they wanted! What started as a minor buzzing in his back pocket, got steadily more insistent, until even Saoirse noticed it, since her hands were moving down his back to caress his butt cheeks. She drew back from the kiss with a massive effort, since she felt drugged by the passion that their heat had created together. "Shouldn't you answer that?" "Um-hmm." He buried his face in the curls around her neck. Prize One:Prize Two:Prize Three:TO ENTER:You MUST comment below: 1. What was your favorite part of the sneak peek? 2. OMG! Thanks so much, Dawn! Words like yours make me feel like a "real" author! Are there any of mine you have a hankering to read? Just let me know--there's a contact page on the last page of my website.

You had me at them dressing up for Halloween. I love Halloween so that earns bonus points for me. No, I have never read Fiona McGier's books.

Hi Sherry, I especially liked the imagery of Diego's dark good looks in a Zorro costume--tight black pants, black shirt with laces at the top, his long black hair tied back, the mask around his eyes. Woot!

Dressing up for halloween is my favorite part but I'm not an m/f reader, sorry. Have not read anything by this author due to m/f content. Shared on Facebook and twitter.

Thanks for leaving a comment, Shorty. There is a M/M relationship in this book and in the sequel, between her bestie Freddie, and one of the shifters. But it's not the main focus of the book. Have you read James Cox? Despite his often ribald titles, he's a great writer of M/M, and I LOVED his Otherworld trilogy that's M/M/F--he's offering copies of Calling All Villains here as prizes.

I love when shifters have a hard time with control when they meet their mate. I always find that so romantic! I have not read this writer.

Thanks for being here, Charlotte. Yes, it's difficult for shifters even when their mate is another shifter. But in this case, Saoirse isn't a shifter--so how does he break the news to his new science teacher?

Thanks for commenting, Judy. This scene occurs after she's discovered what he is--he's been giving her time to assimilate that shifters are real, and that he is one. But his patience is wearing thin.

I loved the fact that they were chaperoning a Halloween party dressed as Zorro and a gypsy. That was so cool! I have not read anything by Fiona McGier but it sounds like I need to remedy that soon.

Hi Cherie--I drooled when I thought of him in a Zorro costume--and she wanted something she could throw together from items she already has. But her red hair is what makes her costume so exotic.

I love shifters and fated mates so when the shifter side gets possessive and antsy, I’m all in. New author to me. :)

Me too, Melissa! I do a different "take" on shifters--I have Saoirse, the scientist, looking for a biological "marker", so they can figure out who has a wolf in them, before it appears during their teen-aged years.

Thanks for commenting, Jennifer! I think a man's butt is one of the sexiest parts of his body--until he turns around, that is! Then my eyes are right where they want to be. LOL.

I love that she's a biologist. We need more smart women in romance! The fact that he's a horny werewolf makes me excited. I haven't read shifter books in a while because they are all becoming so generic. This one sounds different. I have not read this author but I will check out her books to see about putting them on my tbr list. Thank you!

Yes, Melissa, I want more intelligent females AND males in romance. I don't care if they're rich--I just to be able to identify with the heroine, and to fall in love with the hero. And I added a science-y tone to the explanation for weres, just like I did with my science-y explanation for vampires in my book that I'm offering 2 copies of for this week's promotion.

Hey Olivia, I like to read shifter stories also. So when I had a dream that presented me with Diego and Saoirse, I knew I had to write their story--and give shifters my "logical" take.

Hi Eve--welcome! I always write smart, independent heroines. I want to identify with them. And I always fall in love with my heroes while I write their stories. That's why I love to write romance.
