Paranormal Romance Week: Night's Fall by M.A. Church

Things do go bump in the night.

Running from a tragic loss, worrying over a missing brother, and flustered about dreams he can’t explain, Michael James searches for a peaceful place to call home. A quaint little town on the Florida coast promises to be just what he needs to start a new life.

Then myth clashes with reality, and Michael’s life is upended. Vampires, werewolves, and other magical paranormals prowl the city of Mystic Bay, his new home.

And not all of them are friendly.
Clayton Night, a seductive, powerful vampire, desires more than Michael’s blood—he wants Michael for eternity. The mighty
Clay Night has fallen, but can his love keep Michael safe from an enemy seeking revenge?

As darkness closes in, Michael has a choice to make—a short mortal life or an eternity of love and danger?

Sneak Peek:

NEXT THING Michael knew, he was wide-awake. He groaned, scrubbing his hands over his face. What woke him up? When he went to bed, he’d still been a bit freaked out over the odd happening at that restaurant. Was that what woke him up—leftover weird feelings?

And why was it so dark? He distinctly remembered leaving on the hall light—new place and all that. Still flat on his back, his gaze returned to the ceiling. It was really dark. And now that he was awake, he couldn’t miss how the wind shrieked outside.

Damn it. The electricity must be out, thanks to the wind. Getting up, he opened the curtains in the bedroom and peered out. The streetlights in the parking lot were on. Odd. He walked to the bedroom door and flipped the switch. Nothing happened. Great. He climbed back into bed and lay quietly, listening to see if he heard thunder. There didn’t seem to be any, so it didn’t appear to be storming.

He hunted around on the night table until he located his cell phone. Thank goodness he remembered to place it on the charger. He tapped the button on the bottom of his cell and it lit up, showing the time. Two in the morning. Seriously?

Disgusted, he tossed the phone on the night table. He rolled over onto his side and wrestled his pillow into a more comfortable position. Sighing softly, he closed his eyes and tried to will himself back to sleep. A cool breeze ruffled his hair, and he wrinkled his nose. Maybe he shouldn’t have turned the air conditioner down so low, but the humidity here in the South was killing him.

He shivered and reached for the bedspread. Where was the damn thing? Jeez, was nothing going right? Since feeling around wasn’t working, he opened his eyes… and was greeted with a rolling mist coming from underneath the bedroom door.

A mist. Coming in under the door.

Michael blinked.

Then he blinked again.

When the mist didn’t dissipate, he began to worry. Before he could throw the sheet off him, the mist began to condense at the end of the bed.

Paranormal Romance Week: Not Such an Innocent Angel by Beth D. Carter

Eden works as a nurse in Dove Hollow Hospital, taking care of the human companions for the supernatural creatures of the Shade. When a human male is brought in, wraith touched, his pleas for help tug at her heartstrings. In an effort to save his life, she calls in a favor from the powerful vampire, Gideon Marks.

At first Gideon is reluctant to turn the man Eden is fascinated with, but when he discovers it’s the businessman Jacob St. Cross, he quickly changes his mind. Now, Jacob has to navigate a world he knew nothing about, as a creature he thought only myth.
The mystery of why Jacob was targeted for vengeance leads them down a dangerous path and brings Eden into the line of fire of a desperate man … a man willing to do anything to find an angel that’ll save his life.

Sneak Peek:

When he finally stood completely naked, he and Gideon assessed each other for a long moment. Jacob prided himself on being fit for someone in his forties. His job induced a lot of stress and he tried hard to balance that out with strength training and cardio at the gym. Gideon Marks had a very defined, chiseled body. His surprisingly well-hung cock was already hard, waiting for attention.

It stirred something in him, although Jacob didn’t know if it was the situation or some type of latent sexual interest he didn’t know he possessed.

Gideon walked over to him and he didn’t move, not sure what to do. The vampire circled around and stepped close, bringing his body flush against him. Excitement stirred in Jacob’s belly. His own cock hardened.

Hands rested on his shoulders, slightly kneading the corded muscles. The two men were evenly matched in height. Jacob’s mouth went dry when Gideon leaned close, brushing his chin against Jacob’s skin.

A kiss.

A lick.

Gideon’s hands ran down his sides, to his hips, and fit his cock against Jacob’s ass. He may not have known what to anticipate, but he found himself enjoying the contact. The air shifted around them. A pleasing, somewhat spicy scent filled his nostrils. It made his cock pulse and fluid to leak from the tip. Needing to have some contact, he took hold of his shaft and stroked. Gideon seemed to match his movement, nestling in Jacob’s crack and sliding up and down. Heat gathered between them as sweat beaded on their skin.

Jacob felt two pressure points on his neck, but instead of being repulsed, he actually tilted his head to give Gideon more access. Whatever sexual spell the vampire had cast was incredible. Never would he have imagined grinding against a man would be such a turn-on, although he instinctively knew it wasn’t just any man. It was pure Gideon, with his otherworldly power to seduce.

He wanted to know what it felt like to be bitten.

To be taken.

Completely possessed.

As he jerked his cock faster, Gideon’s teeth sank into his veins.

Paranormal Romance Week - Book of Orlando by Laura Lascarso

Picture
Henri has a policy of not interfering with human affairs—he’s a courier of souls, no more, no less—until he happens upon a boy who reminds him there is goodness and light amidst the sorrow.

Orlando is in a vulnerable situation when Henri intercedes on his behalf and initiates the bond between them. Despite being punished in the past for similar transgressions, Henri finds himself getting more entangled in Orlando’s life over the years, doling out “justice” to those who mean to harm his beloved friend.
In time, Orlando ages into a beautiful young man with agency all his own, and he harbors desires only Henri can satisfy.

But there are grave consequences for the mortal and divine when they consort with one another, and the gods will have their sacrifice.

The first of a trilogy, Book of Orlando is a work of adult, erotic fiction. It contains violence and moral ambiguity.

Sneak Peek:

“Kiss me,” you said in a throaty voice.

You lifted onto your toes and drew my face down to meet yours. Your nose rubbed against mine and I inhaled deeply, letting the smell of you waft over me like a honeysuckle breeze. I cupped your smooth face in my hands and brought your plush lips to mine. I had only pressed my mouth softly against yours when your lips parted for me like a new bloom. I suckled your probing tongue like the sweetest nectar. We kissed for so long and so ardently, I worried you’d run out of breath. Or that I might. Then I tasted something achingly familiar. Salt and copper, the unmistakable flavor of human blood.

I swept my tongue along your bottom lip where you were bleeding. Worried, I pulled away to inspect the injury.

“Did I cut you?” A trickle of blood seeped out like a steady flow of tears. You grinned a little, and blood dripped down your chin.

“No, I did.” You jutted your chin toward me, presenting your offering.

My self-control evaporated and I flattened you against the door to hold you still as I sucked on your fleshy lip, relishing the tiny rivulet of blood that snaked its way into my mouth. I savored it like a thirsting man savors his last few drops of water.

I tore my ravenous mouth away from yours, careful to hide my teeth inside my mouth, then pressed my fingertip against your wound to stop myself from taking more. The urge to sink my teeth into you nearly overpowered me. I knew all the best places too—where the dermis was thin, and the blood flowed freely.

“That was a risky move, cucciolo,” I warned.

You didn’t answer, only tilted your head back against the door and waited for me to remove my finger. Your naked throat tempted me. Silky ribbons of skin, tendon, and vein. You had far too much faith in me. I slowly moved my hand away, taking the time to lick the blood from my finger. I shuddered from the exquisite flavor.

“Do I taste good?” you asked with a mischievous smile.

“Divine.” I was dizzy from lack of oxygen. When I was in a state such as this—focused so narrowly on quenching my thirst—I forgot even to breathe.

Your lower lip was plump and turning a purplish hue. You must have bitten down hard for it to swell up like that. Your eyes were at half-mast as you slowly teased the cut with your tongue to open it up again. A crimson thread flowed from the torn flesh, and you stared at me with a hunger that matched my own.

“Take it, Henri. It’s yours.”

Paranormal Romance Week - Claw by Ellen Mint

Picture
He’s not your typical werewolf-next-door.

Layla hadn’t counted on a sex demon appearing in her living room. Nor did she expect to find she’s a witch, tasked with protecting the mortal realm. And now her friend, fellow nursing student and impossible crush could be a potential killer?

She’s silently lusted after Cal for a year, knowing a guy that hot, sweet and kind wouldn’t look twice at her. All their flirting was innocent and went nowhere, until Ink—the incubus bound to her—ran into her life and bed. Next thing she knows, Cal’s growling at her while Ink flirts, and women are being ripped apart by wild animals. Couldn’t the murder monster mystery
wait until after finals?

She wanted to be a nurse, not a paranormal investigator, but Layla has no choice. Apparently only witches can stop these creatures that she didn’t even know existed a month ago. But the deeper she digs, the more it looks like Cal’s deep in the middle of it all. How can she save her friend from the claws of a cult, keep her sex-craved demon happy and find a way to let both into her heart and bed?

Sneak Peek:

“Ah!” I gasped, my back striking the wall. A picture frame jabbed into me, but I wasn’t in a position to complain. Cal pressed closer, first almost shoving his chest into mine, then his hips. His hand remained clamped over my chin. I kept picturing it sliding down to my throat to cut off my air. But he didn’t move it even while leaning nearer until he grazed the edge of my jaw with his teeth.

Shit. My legs wouldn’t stop trembling, my body wanting to fall to the ground and scamper away. But not all of it. Even as I hung on to his arm, my fingers toyed with the hard muscle clinging to me. With every swipe of his hips, the undeniable surge in his pants grew.

“Layla.” Calvin whispered my name as though he recognized me from across the street. I turned to him and he plunged his famished mouth over mine. Inescapable heat pulsed through me, Cal’s lips a hard snarl aching to own me. But the longer he kissed me, the softer they became. Almost tender and gentle, he slipped his tongue into my mouth. I answered back with mine. My body hummed with anticipation, my mind pleading for more. For me to taste all of him.

Loss. It flooded my senses and I opened my eyes to watch Calvin break off the kiss. His hand slipped from my face, though the other remained cradling my ass. Slowly, he licked his lips, causing a smile to twist across them. But he shook it off and said in a ragged voice, “You can go.”

“What?” I lost all focus, my head whipping to the side to see he’d kissed me right next to the door. He’d brought me to the door.

Calvin pulled in a slow breath and his smile turned winsome. “You asked to leave.”

Yes. I needed to get out. He could be a murderer. Except he’d been here that night…literally chained up. He’d chained himself up? To keep others safe? My heart fluttered at the idea and Calvin slunk back. He swiped at his neck like it was tough for him to breathe after our kiss. It tugged the sweater down, revealing a handful of blond chest hair begging to be freed.

He’s a werewolf.

Well, nobody’s perfect.

I fisted his hair, tugging his lips to mine while flattening my body against his. Cal grabbed on to my shirt and lifted it. But I wouldn’t stop kissing him, my lips craving his, my hands needing to run the length of his terrain. I worked under his sweater and swept my palm up his stomach. Abs, a tuft of soft hair, and…

Cal grabbed my arms by the wrists and raised them above my head. Our kiss broke, leaving me staring across the narrow gap into his burning ice eyes. He pulled in a breath, straining the knit weave of his sweater across his flexing muscles.

Paranormal Romance Week - Ruby Flame by Sean Michael

Can a stolen night of fantasy turn into something real?

Up and coming fighter Seamus McAlistair is working as hard as he can to put his twin Liam through university and keep a roof over their heads. On their birthday, Liam drags him out to a club, but when they get there, Seamus balks. Prism is a gay bar and he’s deep in the closet because of his profession. When Liam hands him a lion mask and insists no one will know it’s him, Seamus agrees to go in for Liam’s sake.

Inside, the sexiest man in a dragon mask dances with
him and it is slow and sensual, the hottest thing he’s ever done. Dancing eventually leads to more, the whole evening like a fantasy. When Seamus leaves, he knows he’s going to remember the stolen evening for a long time to come.

Then he runs into his dragon in real life and things will never be the same.

Sneak Peek:

“Dude. I can’t go in a gay club!” Seamus McAlister hissed to his best friend and not-at-all identical twin, Liam. They were sitting in the center of Ottawa, the rainbow neon of the nightclub flashing Prism over and over from the parking lot. He shook his head. “What if someone sees me, takes a picture?”

He wasn’t an artist like Liam. He was a fucking professional fighter. This could ruin him.

Seamus was as deep in the closet as a man could be. MMA fighting wasn’t a gay-friendly space.

At all.

“It’s masquerade night. All masks, all the time. I have you a lion mask, bud. Black T-shirt, jeans, boots. You’ll be a mystery. I’m going to be a raven. Same costume, different mask.”

“This is stupid.”

“It’s our birthday. I worked hard to get us invitations. Please.”

Liam’s green eyes were the only similarity they had. The green eyes and the matched tattoos on one shoulder blade—a triskele with spirals on the ends.

“A lion, huh?”

“Yeah. It’s fancy, but shouldn’t be too hot.” Liam handed him the mask, and it was wild—bright and fierce and sexy.

“This is a stupid idea. Really.”

“It’s our birthday, brother, please.”

He was going to give in. He knew he was. No question. But he was going to make his brother pay for this.

A mask. A gay bar. A gay nightclub.

He pulled on the skintight black T-shirt and the mask. “If anyone asks, my name is Joe.”

“Leo would be more appropriate and more fun,” Liam noted, all but batting those long eyelashes at him.

“Butthead. Okay. Leo. I can deal with that. You lead the way, Raven.”

Liam beamed at him, then put on his mask and exited the truck. He walked toward the nightclub, every inch of him slinking. Actually slinking.

Seamus tightened his abs and stalked his brother, grinning as Liam hurried up. Playing the game.

Liam paid the guy at the door, pointing back at Seamus, then slipped in. Seamus followed, all his senses assaulted as soon as he crossed the threshold. Music. People. Costumes. Lights. A bass beat so deep and loud he could feel it in his chest. Cologne mixed with food smells and alcohol.

He growled softly, suddenly turned on, the idea that he could dance a little, flirt, doing it for him…

Seamus turned his attention to the dance floor, loaded with writhing bodies, undulating, rubbing. That was what he wanted—to work out some energy, some frustration, some need.
Everyone was masked and moving, the air flashing colors and so damn hot. He pushed his way in, melding with the crowd.

Someone ground up behind him, cock hard and solid against his ass.

Oh. Yummy.

He rocked back, not pulling away at all. Bring it on. He wanted to feel…something.

The music shifted, turning into something a little slower, a little dirtier, and the grinding against him followed suit. He could feel the breath of the man with the big hard cock behind him, warming his neck, full of fucking promise.

He turned his focus to the heat behind him.

Paranormal Romance Week - When a Wolf Howls by Fiona McGier

Picture
She’s a scientist. He’s a werewolf. Can he get her to believe in him, since his wolf has already decided that she’s their mate?

Saoirse McColl, a research biologist, keeps getting fired from labs for refusing to produce results the clients want. Her best friend suggests she look for a new line of work. She applies to an ad for a high school biology teaching job at an academy in northwestern Maine that promised living quarters plus salary.

Diego Vargas, a werewolf, is the principal of the academy, despite having no background in education. He has proven to the pack leader that he is dependable and detail-oriented, but he hates

hiring new teachers, not knowing what to ask them.

Once Saoirse is in his office, Diego can’t concentrate because his wolf loves her smell. When it turns out that she is the best-qualified candidate, Diego and his wolf rejoice, because both are convinced she’s their mate. But she’s not a shifter, so they need to bide their time, waiting for the right moment to inform her that she’s living in a compound of mostly wolf shifters.

Can these two find happiness together, once the scientist discovers that myth is reality?

Sneak Peek:

Diego, the principal, is dressed as Zorro--and Saoirse, the science teacher, is a gypsy. They're the chaperones at a Halloween party for the academy teenagers. When some security guards stop by, she ducks out to use the bathroom.

She was just walking back in, when her hand was grabbed from behind a curtain and she was pulled onto a balcony.

Her momentary confusion changed to delight when she realized that Diego had taken the opportunity to grab a few stolen moments in the dark, now that their chaperone services were temporarily unneeded.

He leaned against the wall next to her, stroking her curls glowing coppery in the moonlight. "How could I resist such an attractive gypsy woman?" he asked in a low, husky voice.

She smiled coyly at him, batting her eyelashes. "Why, sir, are you bothering with a lowly peasant woman like me?"

He leaned forward, using one finger to tilt her head upwards. "Because if I don't kiss you, I'll never forgive myself." With that, his lips brushed against hers lightly.

The tingle that ran through her body made her blood boil. She leaned against him, enjoying the feel of the hard muscles under his skin.

He increased the pressure of his lips, and she met him with equal passion. With a low moan, she opened her mouth, and their tongues caressed each other, tasting each other's passion.

He pressed her against the building, using his hips to capture her, introducing her to the insistent bulge that threatened to rip through his pants. Her heart was already racing, but feeling how much he wanted her increased her arousal. Her hands explored his chest, heading up to his shoulders. Their width made her dizzy, imagining how it would feel to be pressed down by their strength, while the thought of becoming better acquainted with his rock-hard erection increased the tingling sensation all through her body.

Diego was fighting hard to control his wolf.

     Take her now!

I can't! We're in a public place--we're the adults. We have to go back into the party.

Take her now! Taste her. Smell her. She belongs to us. We need her!

This was not the first time ever that Diego wished he could give in to the wolf's desires. Everything was so simple to the wolf--you take what you want, and to hell with the consequences. Right at that moment, he'd willingly risk anything, to plunge himself into this willing woman--to give them both what they wanted!

What started as a minor buzzing in his back pocket, got steadily more insistent, until even Saoirse noticed it, since her hands were moving down his back to caress his butt cheeks.

She drew back from the kiss with a massive effort, since she felt drugged by the passion that their heat had created together. "Shouldn't you answer that?"

"Um-hmm." He buried his face in the curls around her neck.

Paranormal Romance Week - My Dark Fairytale by Christine Anna Kirchoff

Picture
Monster or hero?

My name is Larkspur and I was born in the Colony, a labyrinth of tunnels and caves miles beneath the surface designed for prisoners. Being born among the criminals isn't an easy childhood. But I have a secret, my nails turn into sharp claws. That gives me the edge to survive down here. I learned early how to fight dirty, hide well and never trust. Here’s where I live, among the lawless.

All too soon, our world changes. Something happens to the prospering world above. The criminals desiring freedom and revenge push toward the surface. Me among them. I make it to the surface and find myself
in the middle of a war. Treston is a shy guy that’s always staring at me and Rafe is my handsome friend from the prison. Together we fight back against a group called The Blood Brotherhood. What do they want? To take over the world, of course. You’d think the bad guys would get a new plan. Starting a resistance is hard enough then I discover what makes me the way I am. It all ties into this cult and the end of the freaking world.

Humanity needs a hero, now more than ever, but all they get is me, a monster from the darkness.

Sneak Peek:

“Who are you?” Rafe’s angry voice rang out. “What do you want? Come and face me like a real man!”

Yeah, he was angry and he was also to my left. I went slowly in the pitch dark, not sure how the tunnel curved. When the soft curses sounded below me, I backed up and made my way down the wall. Now to figure out how to show him it was me without letting everyone know.

“Come and face me!”

Okay, let’s not invite them over just yet. I guess I didn’t really have much time to figure this part. Freaking hell. Okay. Here I go. I retracted my claws and reached out blindly. My fingers hit something warm and solid.

“Who’s there?”

Yes!

Rafe captured my arm and pulled me toward him.

No!

I struggled as his tied hands landed around my neck. We didn’t have time for this! I went all badass and slapped him in the face. It stopped him from choking me. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him close. The feel of his warm body against mine was a shock to my senses. I couldn’t breath as his face tucked into the curve where my neck met my shoulder. Rafe inhaled sharply then I felt his smile against my skin. Oh, thank God. He knew it was me. Although, that sniffing thing had better be a compliment.

I reached out until his face was in front of me. I couldn’t see it but I had handfuls of his hair. My fingers tingled as I dragged them to his lips and placed one over his mouth. Quiet. We needed lots of silence right now. I felt him nod. I lay awkwardly against his legs. He grabbed my hand and dragged it to his wrist. It felt like a rope, fuzzy, coarse. Nothing that would be a problem. In the darkness, I elongated one finger and slashed the restraint in two.

There were footsteps somewhere down the tunnel. With my lack of sight, it sounded louder. We both stopped. Rafe wrapped his arms around me and hugged me close. I could smell him now. I pressed my face into his longish locks.

Rafe moved closer. Our cheeks touched, pressed together until I felt his lips on my skin. It was below my ear, where the scar on him rested. The touch was brief, so quick that I thought I imagined it.

I almost didn’t want to leave the spot but it wasn’t exactly great for a first kiss. I shouldn’t be thinking about kissing anyway. We had to get out. I moved away from him and felt the lack of warmth from his body as if I was doused with cold water from the well. I shook my head and eased to my feet.

“What have we here?” A voice echoed in the darkness. “Brave girl. Hello there, beautiful.”

I glanced around. Stupid move. I couldn’t see anything but apparently, someone could see us. How else would he have known I was a girl?

“Back off.” Rafe growled low. He tried to push me behind him but there was a wall so that failed.

Besides, I was the one with the badass claws. Something grabbed my arm. I slashed out. My nails already extended. The teasing voice yelped. I felt a splash of something wet and warm on my arm. “Get ready to run.” I tugged the small red square out of my pocket, squeezed it and threw it down the tunnel. There was a great puff of sound and for a moment, a burst of light. It was so bright I squinted and then my gaze fell on our surroundings. That brightness showed me just what secrets the Deep held and it was terrifying.

They were men, dozens of them with these weird things over their eyes. Their skin was a dull, grey color. I caught a glimpse of bones ... human bones. Cannibals!

“Run!”

Paranormal Romance Week: A Ghost of a Chance by BL Maxwell

James McKinney has always lived life alone. He doesn’t have a family, at least none that he remembers. He’s always dreamed of having a house of his own, a place he can call home. Finding the right house, ready to work to make it his home, nothing can put a damper on his happiness, or can it?
Trey Andral, returning home from college, notices someone moving into his old friend’s house next door. Miss Hattie is still waving to him from the bedroom window, even though he knows she’s gone. He also knows he can’t not help the new guy make the house his own.

Trey has always been able to see and hear sprits, but what’s normal to him is terrifying to most others.
When the spirits seem intent on contacting James, Trey has no choice but to share his secret, risking their friendship. If they work together, maybe they can figure out what the clues the spirits are giving them mean. And maybe they can find family in each other.

Sneak Peek:

I drove the short distance to my parents’ house without much thought other than I’d have a few weeks off school and knowing my mom would make sure I had a hot meal that wasn’t fast food. The semester was over and I was officially on summer break. Now, instead of work and school, I’d just have work full-time instead of part-time. But before that, for the next two weeks, I’d stay at my parents’ and spend some time doing jobs around their house, and swimming in the pool.

When I passed Miss Hattie’s house, I noticed a car in the driveway, and the front door was open. She waved to me from her bedroom window, and I waved back, thinking nothing of it.

“I hope you’re ready for some company,” I whispered to her under my breath, knowing she wouldn’t hear me. She’d been gone a while now, but the stories my grandfather had told me were true. He’d said his great-grandfather could see spirits and talk to them, and that he was even friends with some of the spirits he interacted with. He also said he had the gift of sight, and that maybe I’d get lucky enough to inherit it. He must have told me that story a million times, and the older I got, the more I thought he was just spinning me a tall tale. But as the years passed, the more I started to take notice.

I never told Miss Hattie about it, not wanting to change her feelings about me, because when I was little she was my best friend. We spent so much time together, baking or doing all sorts of things to keep us both busy.

“Mr. Keen lost his watch, he was sure he was wearing it when he went to the post office. Let’s go retrace his steps and see if we can find it,” Miss Hattie would say with a twinkle in her blue eyes. She loved a good mystery.

After she passed, I saw her. I knew it wasn’t really her but her spirit, and she was always standing at the same window when I’d drive by, looking a lot like she did when I was a kid—dressed in that same pink flowered dress she seemed to wear all the time, her white hair combed into perfect waves on top of her head, and her wire-rim glasses pushed up on her nose. She smiled and waved at me as though it was just any other day and I happened to be driving by and caught her looking out her window.

But it wasn’t like any other day. Miss Hattie had been dead for a while now, and her last months had been spent in a hospital. She’d had a stroke and never recovered from it.

I waved back to her, unable to stop myself, and parked in front of my parents’ house.

Some want to use her.
Some want to kill her.
I’m just looking to get paid.

Every year there’s a call for all villains to attempt to kidnap the not so human princess. Being half vampire gives me an advantage but when I meet Aneen things don’t go as planned with her or the suspicious, sexy bodyguard, Stefen. Then she’s kidnapped by my partner. With Stefen’s help, we go on a perilous journey to save the princess. I never expected to find my conscious along the way or reveal a terrible secret hidden in history.
In a world of shape shifters, fairies, selkies and mermen, a war is brewing. The fate of Otherworld stands on the brink of destruction. Can a violent half vampire, a stubborn bodyguard, and half goddess princess save this magical world?

**Includes the Bonus Story: Lovart’s Guide to Traveling Otherworld.

Be Warned: menage sex (MMF), m/m sex, anal sex

Sneak Peek:

“Now, your turn.” I pushed Stefen to his back and roughly grabbed his trousers.

Aneen watched, flushed and naked, as her two men played.

stripped the clothes off and he lay beside our woman just as bare. “Well, this is going to be the last thing I think of before I die.”

Stefen laughed.

“Seriously. You and Aneen naked in bed. Her legs are open. Your cock is hard. I can honestly say I’d die a happy man in about … ten seconds.” That’s how long it’d get me to come with this view. Stefen’s dick was thick and smeared with pre-cum as I wrapped my hand around the girth. “Have you ever seen a cock before Aneen?”

“Not close up.” She whispered, leaning toward us.

I slid my other hand between her legs. “Keep this open, princess.”

She blushed then opened her legs.

“Our Stefen does have a beautiful dick.” I stroked him and he groaned. “Makes me want to spend hours sucking him.” I took my hand from her and caressed his balls. “The face he makes when he comes is like he’s found the answer to how to be happy in this world.”

Stefen gave me a tilt of his head and a raised eyebrow.

“I can be fucking poetic when I want to be.” To shut him up, I leaned down and wrapped my lips around his tip. “Tastes salty to your sweet.” I sucked and Stefen groaned. “The perfect meal.” I swirled my tongue around his foreskin and then placed kisses along his upper thigh. “Do you want to taste him Aneen?”

“Yes!”

“No!” Stefen lifted to his elbows. “The second she touches me I’m going to come.”

I stifled a laugh at his horrified expression. “Ain’t nothing wrong with being a little over excited.”

Aneen groaned. “Please.” She wiggled a bit as if her body was busting at the seams.

Stefen moved to his side and kissed her. His hand sliding to her breast and his fingers closed around the nipple.

I went back between her legs. Pressing kisses along her thigh, over her clit and then I parted her lower lips with my fingers. That hole was glistening with need and I slid my tongue over it. Once. Twice. On the third swipe I stabbed her quickly and went back to licking.

Aneen hissed out a breath, but the sound and any words were snatched up by Stefen’s kissing.

I played with her clit, sliding my fingers over the swollen bud and when she began to lift her hips I stuck my tongue back inside her.

A deep groan sounded.

I tongued her pussy, easy at first, but getting more aggressive at the sounds she was making. A man could only last so long. Both Stefen and I were getting close to our breaking point.

Paranormal Romance Week: First, We Kill All The Lawyers by Seelie Kay

Someone is killing lawyers, but a particular vampire lawyer won’t stay dead.

Donovan Trait is a marked man. He is flamboyant, stunningly handsome, and notoriously insatiable, but his attitude and style belie his skills in the courtroom. No one survives a cross-examination at Donovan’s hands. His knowledge of the law and trial practice has accumulated over the years… and years, of experience. More than three hundred years. You see, when Donovan isn’t seducing judges and juries, he’s a creature of the night. And now that someone has decided that it’s time to kill all lawyers, his lust for attention has set him in the murderer’s sights.
The problem is that vampires don’t die. Not easily, anyway. That’s good news for Donovan, not so much for his very human lady love, also a target of the serial killer. Will several unsuccessful attempts on his life expose Donovan’s true nature? Will the killer learn the secret that will guarantee a permanent death? Or will Donovan finally manage to put an end to the killer’s murderous spree and live happily ever after, with his lady love?

SNEAK PEEK:

Donovan’s cell phone pinged. He pulled himself into a small alleyway, away from the stampede trudging back to their workplaces after lunch, and leaned back against a building to read a text. His face screwed up in confusion. The text read, The first thing we do, let’s kill all lawyers! Starting with you!

“What the bloody hell?” he muttered. “Is this some kind of joke?” Donovan’s eyes surveyed his surroundings. He gazed right, then left. It did not appear that someone had made him the focus of their attention. Everyone was scurrying about, like mice in pursuit of a big cheese. “Must be Finley,” he said. “Finley is always plying me with lawyer jokes. He thinks he’s funny.”
Donovan shrugged. Not funny at all. He left the alleyway and re-entered the mass migration on the sidewalk. He approached the crosswalk at Michigan and Superior and emitted a snort of frustration as the light changed and the crosswalk filled with cars. He was bumped hard by someone behind him. Donovan was forced to step into the street to regain his balance. A cab rushed by and narrowly missed clipping his side. Donovan jumped back onto the sidewalk.

A woman screamed and Donovan jerked his head around, trying to see what all the fuss was about. The woman was pointing at him. Donovan frowned and turned away. God save me from simpering females who saw the last issue of City Magazine. Donovan had appeared on the cover after being named as one of Chicago’s most eligible bachelors. Since then, he had learned that the female population was comprised of women of questionable morals and distressing behavior. He was growing weary of the attention. While his colleagues thought it a wise marketing strategy, it had brought him nothing but unwanted female attention. He had become prey.

Vampires were predators. They stalked their victims. Sometimes, they pursued them with a vengeance. That was why he had joined the legal profession. His predilections were well-suited to that particular world. Now, his role had apparently shifted and he was not pleased.

Someone tapped Donovan on the shoulder. “Sir? Are you alright? You’re bleeding. It appears someone stuck a knife into your side.”

Donovan’s mouth gaped and he turned toward the man who had spoken. Then he looked at where the man pointed. There was indeed a knife sticking out of his left side and a stream of his blood was flowing onto the sidewalk. He had a very high threshold of pain. He hadn’t felt the knife thrust into his side. If it wasn’t so appalling, he would be embarrassed. Donovan opened his mouth to reply. Then the pain in his side exploded and his vision dulled. Slowly he slid onto the sidewalk as if he planned to sit on the curb.

Then everything went black.
