I think contemporary romance is closer to reality for a lot of people. As much as I love fantasy and scifi, contemporary can open a world of possibilities in this time.

I haven't read contemporary in some time. I'll have to put more of them on my reading list.

My favorites are from TJ Klune and James Cox. I'm a big fan of both.

Contemporary Romance is great because it is more focused on feelings and developing a relationship.

1. I like to read contemporary romance because the characters’ lives happen in the here and now. The stories are more relatable and easy to read. Characters are people I feel could be my neighbor.

2. I really like Judith McNaught. She writes in different time periods, historical and contemporary and I love her characters. Until Then and Remember When are my all time favorites.

3. I don’t read a lot of m/m but the last one I read m/m/f was James Cox, Calling All Villians. The plot captivated me. He’s a good writer.

I love contemporary books. My favorite are the cowboy ones or the solider or the ones with suspense. Okay, I love them all. If I had to pick one it would be Fifty Shades of Grey!

I love contemporary romance because I like to celebrate the couple finding their HEA, no matter what they have to go through. I always enjoy reading Nora Roberts or someone like that, but I've recently read and enjoyed Addie Woolridge's The Checklist. I have several gay romance authors that I enjoy, including Mary Calmes, Kaje Harper, and Gabbi Grey, and I recently just enjoyed reading a story by Leta Blake and Indra Vaughn that is a gay version of The Bachelor called "Cowboy Seeks Husband."

I've been a fan of Nora Robert's for years. I know she's old school but I think her romance have a lot more relationship building which is my favorite part.

Yeah, I know the contest is closed. But this is the first time I've been able to get online for a week! I love Contemporary Romance because the idea of having sex without birth control is just too scary to me. My characters are enthusiastic about having great sex as they fall in love--that's the kind of books I want to read, and that's the kind I write.

I usually write Contemporary Romance, so any of mine would have to be my favorites.

For M/M romance, I'd pick James Cox because he writes steamy so well--and has a sense of humor reflected in the way his characters relate to one another.
