Fantasies become reality for one couple as they share a wild and sexy weekend.

Bobby and Chris' relationship is starting to stagnate. They're constantly bickering, and haven't had sex in weeks. On hearing this, Bobby's assistant suggests they take a long weekend to explore each other's sexuality - though she uses rather different wording - and
work on each other's fantasies. As luck would have it, Chris' friend is out of town on a business trip, and agrees to let them use his cottage up in the hills. Gorgeous surroundings, a horny boyfriend, and an agreement to between them to make the others sexual dreams come true. What more could a girl want?

Reader Advisory: This book contains light bdsm

Bobby, is a working woman and Chris is the out of work chef.  Lately their happily ever after is becoming stale. They decide, with help from a friend, to spend the weekend away to try to rekindle the love and lust. Will the fantasy sharing be too kinky? Can Bobby and Chris find their happiness?

This has a nice change to the usual steamy story. The interaction between Bobby and Chris can be lighthearted entertainment then downright naughty. The author does an excellent job with both. Then there’s poor hairy Steve in honey, the image will forever be etched into my brain. Mimi was also a great addition.

The details are a little sketchy when it came to their surroundings. This wasn’t a novella of world building. Ms. Holly’s focus was more on the relationship aspect of the plot. That only works if the author is talented enough to pull off and as you see by the rating, she is very
talented.

One Wild Weekend is a great read for a cold, lonely night or one to read with your lover.

Excerpt

The waiter disappeared and Mimi leaned in conspiratorially. “How’s the sex?”

Bobby nearly choked on her water. “What?”

“The sex.” Mimi rolled her eyes. “You know, when a man puts his pee-pee in the woman’s hoo-haa? Or maybe even her boom-boom.”

Bobby snorted a laugh. “Nut.”

“I’d hope he has two.”

She sighed and leaned in too. “To be honest, the bedroom doesn’t see much action these days. Either I’m too tired, or Chris is, or we’ve been fighting.”

Mimi nodded, then sat up again. “There’s your problem.”

“The fighting?”

“The lack of sex.”

Bobby could feel herself colour. She was no prude, but discussing such things with her assistant—no matter how well they got on—and in public, was not her idea of a fun time.

“When was the last time you two did it?”

“Uh…” Her mind rolled back to the aborted handjob that morning. That had been the most action she’d seen in too long a time. "Couple of weeks. Maybe a month.”

Mimi’s eyes went wide. “Seriously? You have a hottie like Chris living in your house, and you aren’t throwing him down every chance you get?”

“Like I said, Mimi, w—”

“Bullcrap.”

“What?”

“You heard. You ain’t my boss when we’re at lunch so I can call BS when I need to.”

“Bullcrap is BC, not BS.” Bobby grinned. “Go on then, read me my rights.”

“Sex is vital in a relationship, honey. It affirms your love, shows devotion, and it feels good.” Mimi winked. “I was having the same problem with Steve, so we decided to put in some real effort, and it really worked. One night I came home to find him lying naked on the couch, hard as a rock and pouring honey on his chest.”

“Whoa!” Bobby held up her hands. “More than I needed to know, Mimi. And Steve? As in the guy you’re no longer with?”

“That wasn’t because of the sex—that was because I found I wasn’t the only one licking honey off his nipples.”

The conversation halted abruptly as the waiter appeared. Bobby looked down at her green salad and wished she’d paid attention when Mimi ordered hers. “I guess Chris does want to try a few things.” She sighed.

“After a day at work, though, all I want to do most nights is sleep.”

“Got any holidays you haven’t taken?” Mimi gestured with half a stick of celery.

“You’re always forgetting to use them.”

“Well, yeah, bu—”

“Take tomorrow off. Fridays are always slow. If you can get Monday too, that’s four days to
fuck like bunnies.” She bit the celery in half. “I guarantee by the time you go back to work, you won’t be making excuses about tiredness. Chris’ll be fighting you off with a stick.”

So there I was stuck in the car and I always read to pass the time which is why the Nook is my new best friend. But, silly me, I forgot to put the new books on my nook. I read all but one. A vampire book and I wasn’t particularly in the mood for sexy blood sucker. But with it being the only one and at least an hour to waste, plus it was on my list to review anyway, I gave it a shot.

Holy crap, I’m so glad I did! Have you ever read a book and within the first few pages thought – this is going to be a good one. Yes, Irresistible Nemesis was that. There were a few editing issues and a few scenes the pace was slow. Does it matter? Not much when the story is this good.

Andreas was such a hot vampire with daddy issues. Eva was a great character. She’s tough  but only hides her wounded heart. The steamy feelings and I do mean 'steam up those windows' hot, grew between Eva and Andreas beautifully. There’s one twist after another and when Eva was kidnapped I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. The explosive ending made it official. Irresistible Nemesis is a fanged treat and gets 5 shiny stars!

This is the first book I’ve read by Ms Russo and certainly not the last.

Back to Black sounded like a unique plot and I’ve heard good things about Mr. Llewellyn's writing. It only took a few pages before I liked the main character Quinn. He was spunky, sarcastic and he really worked the story so it was a fun, effortless read. Jackie is his partner along with her husband who were great side characters. Quinn and Jackie are working on a big case dealing with a string of house robberies. J.D is Quinn’s long ago lover but the sparks fly when they’re thrust together because of this case. They always made the scene’s dynamic.

I love the Hawaii 5-0 lines. Yes, I’m a fan and I could watch Steve McGarrett jog with his shirt off for hours. What a yummy man. Anyway, back to Quinn who reminds me a lot of Steve. The more I read, the more I liked his character. He was so refreshing with his banter and wit. This is man on man perfection as he enters the house to apprehend the criminal and the gas takes effect. Or is it gas? Is there some doorway to another dimension where they find Quinn irresistible? Awesome twist. I literally cracked up by the pesticide jokes.

I’ve never been to Hawaii but by Mr. Llewellyn's details I felt like I have. His research was very well done. Despite this being erotica, and yes, some scenes will have you squirm. The story busted through and really gave this another layer. It’s grin worthy in several places, the action was well done and...okay, fine I’ll just say it. This book rocked! I’m officially a fan of A.J. Llewellyn.

If I could give this book a million stars I would. What a fantastic read. Back to Black is funny, sexy and a must read!

HANDCUFF FREE ZONE: There's sex but NOTHING hot.
I want to start off by apologizing not only to TBR but to the 'authors' whose stories I didn’t get to by not finishing this book. I’ve never not finished a book before and I hope this never happens again.

So why could I not finish this book? It’s not because I don’t like BDSM, anyone can look at my reviews and see that I do. I loved DUCK! By Kim Dare and that is BDSM to the extreme. The problem lays in that I don’t like rape and all three stories were stories about rape and not true BDSM. It was clear that these authors know nothing about BDSM and instead used this title to write out their perverse desires and it’s an insult to the BDSM community. I have no problem with an author writing perverse stories, it’s a niche that some readers out there like but don’t false label it.

Example: The first story has the Dom putting the sub through things she absolutely hates. He isn’t pushing her limits but taking perverse pleasure from torturing her but it’s all support to be okay because the victim cums. News Flash, even rape victims can be made to cum, that doesn’t make it any less like rape. A true Dom cares about their sub’s wants and needs. While they might push limits their motto is Sane, Safe, and Consensual.

Example Two: Then you have the second story where the girlfriend is basically cheating on her boyfriend on the BDSM online community but not only that but is down talking him to friends. When he finds out, his retaliation is to sneak up behind her, ball gag her and reenact her e-mails. Again, this doesn’t even come close to Sane, Safe, and Consensual.

Example Three: She is at home and getting ready to celebrate a birthday when she gets a surprise. Two people grab her, tie her up and do sexual things to her. Again it’s all suppose to be okay because she cums. Again we see no concept of Sane, Safe, and Consensual.

Again, I apologize to TBR for not finishing this book, I can only hope that after reading this review that you understand why.

I now have to go stare into a light bulb and hope to sear these awful images from my brain.

First of all, this is a Cheryl Brooks novel, I nearly bit the fingers off the other reviewers trying to claim this. I’ve read her books before and have always been very pleased. This blurb was a teaser of great things to come.

Terri is struck by love at first sight. Problem is, it’s her bosses husband and their marriage isn’t even close to happy. Terri is a big shot, Jacqueline’s assistant. She never found men worth her time and as a result is a 20 something year old virgin. She’s quiet, curvy and I really liked her.

Ben, the bosses hot husband wants to start a family but his wife isn’t willing. He’s a little harder to pin down, character wise with some serious mood swings. Then there’s  ‘Slim’ and ‘Shorty’. Two hot guys on the beach attracted by Terri's purple bikini who are offering to make her vacation more fun by having the best threesome ever. I admit, I did not trust these guys. Call it a gut feeling, but I won’t tell you if I was right. Read Sex, Love and a Purple Bikini to find out.

The heat, none, it was freakin’ flames! Reaching for the sky, red hot, passionate flames that had me clenching my thighs and squirming in my seat. Thank God, I wasn’t in a public place, they would have known exactly what genre I was reading. The characters jumped off the pages and landed at my heart. This story was endearing with an ending that had me grinning foolishly. Now, the only complaint I had was the pace. Some parts were so slow moving. So why exactly did I give it 5 stars?

Sex, Love and a Purple Bikini was scorching hot, sugar sweet and a unique spin on a virgin romance.

Don’t wait. Go buy this. Read. Fall in love.

Excerpt

Terri had already rejected the first swimsuit she’d tried on. It made her look even fatter than she thought she was, if that was possible. Apparently the suit that would make her appear twenty pounds lighter didn’t exist.

Clad only in her panties, she was reaching for the next suit with about as much enthusiasm as she would’ve felt for a boa constrictor when Ben rapped on the door.

“Here, try this one,” he said, flipping a purple and white flowered bikini over the door.

If the other suit was a boa constrictor, this one was definitely a cobra. Terri stared at it just waiting for it to strike. Oh, wow… Low blow… He had to have known she couldn’t possibly fit into the damned thing; he was just trying to make her feel bad. He’d already accused her of being stupid, which she was most definitely not. Quiet, perhaps, but certainly not stupid. Then she spotted the tag. Apparently he’d been paying attention, despite her efforts to hide the fact that she had been looking at the size sixteens.

The hanger was still hooked on his finger, and when she didn’t respond, he jiggled it up and down. “What’s the matter? Don’t you think it’s pretty?”

Maybe. On any body but me. It looked just fine on the hanger, too, but Terri wasn’t about to put it on. No possible way.

“Come on, now,” he cajoled. “Just try it. You’ll look great.”

Already suspecting that after his initial irritation he’d been trying to kill her with kindness, he now appeared to be making a valiant attempt at trying to win her over with flattery—although why he felt the need to do so was a mystery. What did her mood matter to him anyway? On the other hand, if his desire was to embarrass her to death, this would be just the thing because there wasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that something that skimpy would look good on her. Not in this lifetime.

“No,” she said firmly.

“Terri,” he said with a hint of warning in his voice. “Put it on, or I’m leaving here without you.”

If embarrassment was his ulterior motive, he obviously wasn’t above making threats to achieve it. Then she realized why. It was his revenge for her being there to come between him and his wife. The worst part of it was, she probably deserved it for agreeing to participate in this farce to begin with. It didn’t matter if he ever realized she knew precisely why she was there or not because he was bound to figure it out eventually. And once he did, she would probably wind up unemployed in addition to whatever torment he might dish out. Her
anger flaring, she snatched the hanger from his finger, hoping she might get lucky and yank off his fingernail in the process.

Snarling when she heard him chuckling rather than bellowing out in pain, she ripped it off the hanger. She’d never had on a bikini in her life and didn’t even wear bikini underwear. Yet another first for this trip. Pulling the neck strap over her head, she hooked the back before stepping angrily into the bottom half and stuffing her panties down below the waistband. Not even bothering to glance at the mirror, she yanked open the door for about a half a second, and then slammed it shut again.

Or tried to. Ben was too quick for her, catching the edge of the door and prying it open with his fingers.

Terri caught a brief glimpse of an expression she’d never before seen on the face of anyone who happened to be looking in her direction.

His jaw dropped. “Wow.”

Erotica - Novel
TBR reviewer: B.H.

Blurb

Quinn Ross: He's not a nice guy, and he can't seem to get his life together. He only has one good thing left in his life; his little brother Jack. Jack has managed to stay decent and uncorrupted, despite the fact that his oldest brother is an ex-convict who was only able to
kick his drug addiction because he was serving time in prison. Quinn has never been able to understand why Jack idolizes him; in fact, he secretly wishes he was more like the man Jack is.

When Quinn plans another robbery, Jack wants in on it, and things go bad. With his little brother bleeding in the backseat, Quinn is desperate. In a last ditch effort to save him, Quinn abducts a nurse from the hospital's parking lot. Tragically, the young girl he grabbed isn't a nurse, and Jack has lost too much blood. Now Quinn must not only deal with the guilt and grief of losing his little brother, he has to decide what to do with the girl he brought home in the trunk of the car.

Mayree Jacobs is the girl who was kidnapped. She never thought she was pretty. Shy and
without friends, always the awkward fat girl who wished she was invisible. Mayree has spent her whole life wishing she was someone else, someone pretty. An ordinary night turns into a night of terror, when she is kidnapped, and watches a young man die before her eyes. At first she is afraid the huge man who abducted her plans to kill her, but then something else happens; a strange attraction develops between Quinn and Mayree.

Review

Picture
Mayree has always considered herself a fat, ugly virgin. After she’s kidnapped, she learns differently. Being chained and at Quinn’s mercy, feelings begin to develop. Could the man of her dreams really be the criminal bastard that kidnapped her with a gun to her head? I really connected with her at the beginning. We’ve all been through that stage in life where we hate ourselves. Most of us anyway. She constantly blamed the bad on her weight and how ugly she was. Over and over, throughout the whole book. It became an annoying whine that really made me dislike her character.

Quinn kidnaps Mayree thinking she’s a nurse, his wounded brother dies and he’s left with a problem, the only witness, Mayree. He can’t kill her despite being a criminal. At first I understood Quinn’s head space but as the book progressed I liked him less and less. His feelings for Mayree were clouded by something dark and perverse.

There’s a thin line between greatness and being offensive, this book was on that edge. As I came toward the middle, it changed. After some thought, I pinpointed exactly why this book turned south. There are a LOT of sex scenes, I like erotica, but they dominated the story elements and with Quinn being so brutal it took the tenderness growing between them and twisted it into something...well...ugly.

For me, this was right in the middle of a 2 and 3 star rating. The ending with Penny and the happily ever after was what pushed it to a 3.

It’s a new Nakedella adventure!

She’s stolen on Market day by a gargoyle. Another strange character in this fantasy world needs help, The Stone Sultan. He’s stone from the waist down and sends Nakedella on several missions to help him return to human form. She is given magic slippers that bring her to new places including a sex slave’s prison and a journey to save the Sun’s missing daughter.

Ms. Master’s is writing more details which makes the story so much more visible. The plot however was this tale’s downfall. This is really half a book, the story stops just as it’s getting interesting with a dreaded ‘to be continued’.

I enjoy this series but it’s become stale. The first Nakedella had such a unique and complete plot where this one doesn’t. This is also a book, not a tv series, there should never be a ‘to be continued’ at the end of any story! That drives me mad. I want to read the entire book, not 3 quarters and have to buy another book to finish the story. That makes no sense.

I still enjoyed her change of characters and as always the sex is smoking as well as unique.

Being spelled into a painting as a topless mermaid by an inept cousin couldn’t have come at a worse time for witch Kata Macska. With only seven days in which to find her mate and conceive a daughter to carry on the family legacy, she fears failure until she discovers that her fellow castaways, hunky brothers Aaron and Adam Waters, are more than willing to share her love.

The brothers are at a loss to explain how they came to be marooned on a tropical island with the woman of their dreams, but they make the most of her ability to change from a mermaid to a woman at night. Though they suspect that her family is somehow responsible for their
predicament, they’ve both fallen for the lovely Kata and want nothing more than to spend the rest of their lives at her side. But are they her true mates?

This is my second read by Ms. Szereto , and I have to say she hasn’t let me down yet. Two if by Sea will set your knickerson fire. (fans face.) I’m serious y’all. You might want to have some water handy.   Our heroine Kata has not one, but two gorgeous men worshipping her body and tending to her heart. The best part about this yummy threesome was it was totally deserved!

Kata comes from a long line of witches destined to meet their mate, and have a female child to keep their line alive.  Kata is days from reaching the end of her cycle with no man in site when a spell mishap sends her and the sexy delivery man Aaron into a painting of a tropical paradise. Talk about a tough day on the job! If those circumstances weren’t strange enough,
Kata has been turned into a mermaid.

Aaron recovers well, and decides to explore the island, collecting food as he waits for Kata to show herself in all her mermaid glory. Aaron is stunned and relieved when he stumbles across his brother Adam whose been missing for the past two weeks. It was his disappearance that led him Aaron to the Macska’s home in the first place.  Kata eventually gets over her embarrassment and begins to interact with the Waters brothers and finds they’re gentle, kind and protective. I was ready to order my own when the shine of my wedding band broke the
spell.

This is a quick read that hits all the right notes. It’s the perfect Calgon moment after a long day. If you haven’t read Mellanie Szereto, this is the perfect introduction.

Excerpt

“Please.”

“Please what, Kata?” Did Aaron expect her to tell them precisely what she wanted them to do? Too hot to think.

“One of you fuck me, and I want to suck the other.” She’d never spoken so crudely in her life, but these were extenuating circumstances. If they didn’t do as she demanded, she’d die. Maybe not literally. She’d lose her mind, without a doubt.

Warm, moist air on her vagina caused a rush of fluid to trickle down the inside of her leg. “Everybody wins. Since Aaron is already acquainted with your lovely pussy, why don’t I take a turn?”

“Yes, now. Please now, Adam. Fuck me.”

He pressed his mouth to her drenched lower lips before guiding her onto the mat. Aaron followed half a minute later, minus his shorts, helping settle her head on their bed beside his impressive erection. Long and hard, with pre-cum oozing from the perfectly shaped head. The advantageous angle also gave her a close-up view of a lightly furred scrotum containing a pair of well-defined testicles. Her mouth watered, anticipating the texture and flavor of this
masculine display of flawlessness. Was Adam ready yet?

Flicking her gaze to her second lover, she watched as he kicked out of the clothing at his ankles. While Aaron’s cock was straight and upturned, Adam’s curved slightly to the right. It was just as ready. Her heart pounded and her pulse skipped a beat.

He nudged her knees farther apart and knelt in front of her. “Are you sure you don’t need a little foreplay?”

“No! I need you! Both of you, inside me!”She fought the rising panic in her chest, struggling to get enough air in her lungs. Her body couldn’t wait another moment to mate, the desire to connect with these men driving her closer to insanity.

Adam lifted her feet to rest on his shoulders, lifting her ass to meet the rubbing of his dick through her wetness. Teasing her entrance, he looked toward his brother. “At the same time, Aaron.”

A slick-tipped penis painted her lips with its salty juice. She opened to welcome Aaron into her mouth, and in one slow push, they entered her. The ache in her chest eased when they withdrew and plunged forward again. Finally! Her eyelids tried to close from the overwhelming relief and pleasure, but she studied the blissful expression on Aaron’s face, then Adam’s. She grasped malleable balls in one hand and a handful of muscular butt in the other.

In, out, in, out. The smooth, matching rhythm took her higher with each stroke, a sense of fulfillment and connection swelling in her heart, mind, and body. Belonging. Rightness. Perfection. A pair of masculine groans pushed her deeper toward completion. Her own moans echoed in her ears. The blended melody sang to her, and the erection in her mouth grew as the one in her trembling pussy became more rigid.

“Suck me, honey. Yeah, just like that. You feel so damn good.”

Even Grim Reapers have bad days on the job.

Mal has managed to stay out of the afterlife for 31 years, despite  having been dead for
the last three. He's a Grim Reaper, and while he  may not be the most enthusiastic, he enjoys his "life" too much to give  it up to death. But he's got a problem. A troubled young woman's soul  becomes bonded to his, and a vicious demon is hired to retrieve it.

If Mal can't get her soul free in a hurry, he's doomed to share her  destination, whether it be heaven or hell.

Review

Picture
This is what I’m talking about! The last book I read by Mr. Slade, Strand, needed less telling and it frustrated me because he was so close to greatness. I think this time he’s reached even closer to that mark. There was still telling and a lack of emotion in the characters but, and this is a big but, it’s a lot less.

Now, there’s a great story unfolding.

The world of demons, Grim Reapers and alcoholic poltergeists was well described. Mal is a grim reaper who gets his soul stuck with an undecided. That’s a person that has been equally good and bad. There's a court to decide if Amy, the undecided, is going to hell or heaven.

There’s an excellent pace to the story, information and action blended nicely. I couldn’t stop reading, Mal’s character really grew on me. He meets Amy who falls down the steps and breaks here neck. After that Mr. Slade seemed to revert back to the telling issue.

The story unfolds we get these short passages in first point of view. Having no assigned characters it was a bit confusing at first. There’s a lot of grin worthy moment, twists, and action plus a little romance. This is all hindered of course by the telling. I was wondering what exactly Mal looked like naked, lol. I couldn’t help it, he was a very well written character! Zach is a great addition as well. I hope to read more on both these characters.

I am not giving up on Mr. Slade yet for a five star review one day. I hope his writing only grows because his plots are worth the read.

Excerpt

He was facing the wrong way, watching a group of people on the other side of the road. Ducking behind a hedge, Mal waited, heart in mouth, until he heard footsteps pass the gate and continue down the street. Relieved, he stood, only to find himself a foot from the demon’s grinning face. “Crap.”

“You’re a hard man to find,” the demon said, placing his hands on the garden wall between
  them.

“Don’t know why,” Mal replied, trying to remain nonchalant, despite opening the conversation with ‘crap.’ “I was moving slowly, and went to rather predictable places. Frankly, a half-eaten onion sandwich could have found me before you did.”

The demon’s smile disappeared, replaced by a snarl with far too many teeth. "Now why did you have to go  and say that?”

Before the demon had chance to grab him, Mal was in flight. He dodged left and leapt over a low fence into next door’s garden then  bolted through the open gate. A roar sounded behind him and he turned to see the  demon in hot pursuit.

“You think you can  out run him?”

“As long as he stays in his human form, I stand a chance.”

“And if he doesn’t?”

“He  won’t reveal his true form in broad daylight. Demons have a code.”

Mal hoped  he was right and kept running. He rounded the corner and spotted a familiar  street sign. Only half a mile from the bar. He put his head down and thudded on,  wincing at the jolts of pain coming from his leg, and risking the odd glance  back. His pursuer was the faster, but the slight head start and Mal’s knowledge  of the area’s twisty alleys kept him in the lead. As he neared the bar, he found  himself back on the main road and had to hope that
the lead he had built up in  the back streets would hold. Dodging and weaving around pedestrians, and jumping  the occasional dog, he neared his target. He could hear the demon’s heavy  footsteps as he dove through the door to the ramshackle bar front. He grabbed  the beer pump and yelled for Earl, who appeared moments later. Mal grabbed  Earl’s outstretched hand and felt something slash at the back of his shirt just  before everything went black.

Review: Intercession by Rosemary Cross

Vampire, erotica - Novella
TBR reviewer: B.H.

Blurb

When Lucifer looked upon God's works, he vowed to destroy it all. He followed  Adam and Eve from the Garden and stole Abel's soul before his drew his final  breath, thus creating the first vampire. Since then all vampires have been  damned creatures, their souls lost without hope.

That's  why God must be joking when He assigns Jophiel to intercede on a vampire's   behalf...

This would have easily been a 4 or maybe even a 5 star review. It was entertaining, unique plot but it’s not complete. It’s a to be continued. It should not have been published without some form of ending. I would not pay to go to the movies and have the last 20 minutes of the movie cut out. Why would you do the same to a book?!

I really wish there was an ending because I liked this book a lot. David is a vampire trying to find his little brother while holding onto his humanity. He is a hot vampire with a touch of humor that really brings his character to life. I really enjoyed him. Jophiel is an angel tasked with helping David find his brother. He’s a goody-goody that is slowly opening up. Of course, we never find out how much because THERE IS NO ENDING!

Vampire and angel team up in an entertaining mix. There is 1 m/m sex scene and it’s a scorcher. Then there’s a twist that left me speechless of course this changed into a foolish grin. You’ll know what I’m talking about if you read Intercession. Nicely played, Ms. Cross,
nicely played.

I would definitely read more from this author but I’ll be sure to check that the book she writes actually has an ending.
