Sneak Peek:Megan was in there, looking through the shampoos or something. Lou had known it when he passed the store picking up her special scent. He always knew where she was now. That fact was more than annoying. He’d never looked into the lifemate bond. He’d never wanted to, never even gone on a hunt for a mate. Now it was in his face and he found himself . . . stalking her. Great. Megan whirled around, catching Lou off guard. Damn, she was cute with her hands on her hips glaring up at him, like a mini tornado. “Okay, what’s the deal?” Megan glared up at Lou. “You are everywhere I go. If my stalker is here, and I need this level of protection, you need to tell me.” “What? No! That little jerk has no idea where you are. I was just—“ “Just what? Every time I turn around you’re lurking in some background. I’m not a shoplifter, and I don’t appreciate the amount of surveillance I’m getting here. Wesley said I’d be safe, not spied on, and followed as closely as I was before.” “You think I’m some sort of stalker?” Lou heard the outrage in his voice, even if the accusation hit home on more than one level. “Well, what do you call it?” “Concern?” “What? No, I told you I’m not a thief or a pickpocket. I don’t have to be followed all the time like some criminal.” “That’s not what I’m doing.” “Oh? Then why are you here?” “I wanted to see if you wanted to have a cup of coffee with me.” Okay, he hadn’t expected to say that, but it was true. Maybe not the whole truth, but no way could he say he wanted her in every way. “What?” That had stopped her in her tracks, not that he could really blame her. His admittedly meager social skills hadn’t been on display much around her. “Coffee,” he repeated. “Why?” “Do I need a reason? Can’t I be friendly?” “No, you can’t. You’ve been pissed since the first time you laid eyes on me. I don’t know what I did, but—“ “You didn’t do anything, and I’m not pissed.” “Bullshit,” she hissed at him. “A rattlesnake is friendlier than you.” “Now look here—“ “No, you look. I want you to stop following me. I’ve had enough of that for three lifetimes. Just leave me alone.” She turned and stormed out of the store. Lou looked around to see how many people had witnessed the confrontation. The few patrons in the store didn’t meet his eyes. He sighed in resignation. It would be all over town in minutes. Lou watched her retreating back and sighed again. He was more attracted to her every time he saw her. Her scent was with him every waking moment. His body responded to her in ways he’d never imagined. And she hated him. Prize One:Prize Two:Prize Three:To ENTER:You MUST comment below: 1. What was your favorite part of the sneak peek? 2. I like that it appears to be in the fated mates category, which is a trope I love in PNR.

The shoplifter accusation was funny. I have not read any books by this author as I only read m/m books. I have to comment on "all"(even the m/f ones) to be in the running for the grand prize. Thank you for the chance. Shared on both Facebook and Twitter.

I like when she whirled around and confronted him in the store. It’s great when characters can show their strength especially in scary situations. No I haven’t read a Donna Steele book yet.

I liked the part where he asks her out for coffee. It is cute how befuddled he is. I have never read Donna Steele before but after reading this excerpt I feel that needs to change.
