+ Print Giveaway BlurbJust making direct eye contact, Lucas has direct access into a person's mind, turning his wishes into commands. It's a power the government wants to harness for its own means, but Lucas' lust for freedom cannot be contained. Living life on the run, Lucas uses his extraordinary gift to prey upon straight men for their money and to satisfy is own carnal appetites, knowing his embarrassed victims will never report his crimes. Sent to capture him is Joel, a sexy telepath whose own desires were first awakened by Lucas. So far Lucas has eluded Joel, but when he steals a briefcase full of cash, Joel may just be the only one to save Lucas' life. ReviewThis starts off with a bang. We instantly drawn into the erotic world of Lucas who is on the run from ‘The Institute’ where people with ‘powers’ are kept. He can force his thoughts upon another, imposing his will and they want him for their own purposes while Lucas only wants freedom. Joel, a man who came to love him is from his past with some ‘powers’ of his own and is hunting Lucas for ‘The Institute’. I’ve read a few m/m romances and thoroughly enjoyed them which is why I jumped at the chance to read this. There are a few words missing and grammatical mistakes but nothing that jolts the reader out of the story. There’s also three sex scenes in the span of fifty or so pages. Don’t get me wrong, I love reading erotica, usually the steamy the better but with so much sex it starts taking away from the story. The flow is hindered by all the naked bodies. There’s no progression. There’s a couple pages of story then a sex scene. Another two pages of story then, you guessed it, sex scene. It overwhelms the plot and after the sixth or seventh time I simply skipped those pages. This was an interesting idea but it was overwhelmed with sex. That’s why I’m rating it 2 for it honestly had potential. Purchase 'Mindjacker' at:Contest:We're giving away a HARDCOVER copy of Mindjacker by Jonathan Asche. To enter comment below. Beaten, starved, she's barely breathing, burning with fever. He stabilizes her, but when she opens her green eyes and stares, panic-stricken, into his, he realizes this is only the beginning of their relationship. Devlin Barre has been through hell. If her uncle finds her, she's dead. When she looks into the warm brown eyes of the paramedic, she knows deep in her bones she can trust this man with her life. Devlin and Jake grow close, but, fearful of commitment, Devlin runs off to rebuild her life, leaving Jake heartbroken. Five years later, Jake and Devlin meet again. Neither has forgotten a single detail of their time together. Both harbor the secret hope that they can begin again--this time, for keeps. But Devlin isn't the only person who ran off. Her uncle still waits for the right opportunity to get the one person who got away. Note: This book contains rape of the heroine. Review:Jake is a paramedic that finds Devlin, a skinny beaten teenager. He cares for her while she heals and their feelings quickly turn into something more. Of course, she has a secret. The person who beat and raped her was her Uncle. The story unfolds with twists and turns that I won’t give away here. A few terms were out of places. I wouldn’t expect a 17 year old to say Foley Catheter. She could have cut down on the medical aspect. The sentences aren’t choppy but the story as a whole. It jumps from one place to another without much buffering to keep the flow. That said, the story was heartwarming and really pulled me in. I couldn’t put it down and spent hours reading this immersed as the story progressed. I instantly liked Devlin. She had a great personality despite all that’s happened to her. Her uncle, beat and raped her but she managed to survive and thrive. Jake was by her side from the beginning. He is a tall, handsome hero that could make a woman melt with a simple wink. His character was beautifully written. The only thing I would change would be Devlin waiting for him sexually. She should have waited to sleep with other men when they had a miscommunication and separated. Though those relationships didn’t work, I feel that it gave her character a side I didn’t particularly like. Still, Devlin and Jake are great together. The pages quickly steam up and really spin toward the erotic side. That scene right beside the party was absolutely magical and damned hot! Those last twenty pages had me literally on the edge of my seat. Ms. Barrett you’ll be getting the bill for my nails after I gnawed them up reading this, lol. Normally with the issues stated above this would get a 4 out of 5 stars but it won’t. This is without a doubt 5 stars. The story of Dev and Jake is so moving. This is real romance, a heartwarming tale of true love with scenes hot enough to fog the windows. This just reiterates what a great author Julia Barrett is. Excerpt of 'Anytime Darlin'Devlin thought it was just as well she walked behind Jake. She wasn’t sure she could keep a straight face if he looked at her, and she knew she wouldn’t be able to keep her hands off him if he was by her side. She had been laughing so hard when they stood at the baggage carousel that she couldn’t speak, merely point, when her suitcase came around. Though Jake tried to hide it with her hanging bag, it was pretty hard to ignore the bulge in the front of his jeans. She just hoped everyone else was in too much of a hurry to notice. She felt a twinge of jealousy at the thought ofanother woman feeling what she’d felt when he pressed her against him. She didn’t even want them looking at what she’d felt back at the gate. Devlin wasn’t inexperienced. She and Jason had been an item for a year and a half. They tried hard to make it work, but their close friendship got in the way, and both of them discovered they felt more comfortable with each other when they no longer shared a bed. She’d dated several men she’d met at school, and while she’d found the sex to be satisfying for a while, she’d never known anything, any man, like Jake. One look from him, one word, one touch, and she melted like butter left out in the hot summer sun. Devlin had long legs, and she matched him stride for stride, admiring the flex of his tight buttocks as he walked six feet in front of her. Her stomach flip-flopped once again as she imagined those firm buttocks naked, moving beneath her hands, as Jake thrust into her. The picture was so vivid that her steps faltered, and she came to a complete stop. Against her will, a soft moan escaped her. Jake stopped in midstride. Devlin knew she had betrayed herself, and her cheeks warmed. She covered her face with her hands, embarrassed that her desire for Jake was so obvious, so close to breaking free. She was afraid she’d humiliate herself by jumping him in his car. Suddenly she felt Jake directly in front of her. Her luggage dropped to the pavement, forgotten. He pried her hands away from her face, threading his fingers through hers and holding them to her sides. He kissed her then, hard, as if staking a claim. There was nothing Devlin wanted more than to be claimed by Jake McKenna. She moaned into his mouth, making no effort to hide her need for him. He let go of her hands then, moving them to her waist. In agonizingly slow motion, Jake tugged her tee shirt free of her jeans. His warm palms pressed against her bare belly. Dev pulled her mouth away from Jake’s. Tossing back her head, she gasped at the skin-to-skin contact. His left hand moved to the small of her back, supporting her as she arched toward him, feeling his right hand slide upward, toward her breast. Jake’s palm felt wonderfully rough against her sensitive skin. Her nipples burned for his touch, and Devlin thought she would explode if he didn’t reach them soon. Then his hand was there, covering her naked breast. Holding it, kneading it. “Oh. God. Jake,” was all she could manage as his thumb flicked across her nipple. He pinched it, and Devlin almost screamed. She would have if Jake hadn’t backed her into a nearby pickup truck and taken her mouth with his. Devlin was out of control now as Jake thrust against her, each movement of his hips pressing the length of his stiff cock along her aching slit. She was so far gone she didn’t realize he’d unzipped her jeans until she felt his strong fingers slip between her folds and rub slow circles around her clit. Jake released her mouth and buried his face in her neck. The fingers of one hand twisted her nipple while he moved his other hand lower and slid a finger inside her. His teeth were on her neck, and he bit down, hard. Buy 'Anytime Darlin' at:ContestMs. Barrett is generously giving away an Ecopy to one lucky winner. To enter comment below. Contest ends June 28th.

Kathy Martin-Willis! Congratulations! You're our winner! Don't forget to click here to see the next giveaway! This novella was purchased and reviewed by B.H. Genre: Erotica BlurbWhen a pixie wishes for a home and family, he may just get it... ReviewThe very beginning was a bit choppy but that quickly dissolved into an erotic male auction. Her descriptions nearly had me drooling over the pages. The story is about Cy being auctioned off for a date with Teresa, mother of two and on the verge of hating men. There was a couple of head hops and grammar issues I noticed. A few lines via Cy were out of place. I’ve never heard a guy say ‘oh my God’ because a woman wasn’t wearing panties. It’s usually cruder and more creative. I’ve also never heard a guy describe a bra as a ‘Lace demi-bra’. However, the story prevailed. I instantly liked Cy. His personality bloomed and I admit I have a weakness for tattoos and piercings. Teresa was a little harder to pin down but she came together as the story progressed. Then there’s Cy and Teresa together, romantic and super sexy. The pages heated up and this story of a lonely pixie comes to life. Free read?Want to get your hands on a copy of Pixie's Passion? +Giveaway BlurbLou Drake was once the pride of the NYPD detectives until the high profile Hennings murder case went terribly wrong, nearly ending his career. Ten years later, fifty pounds heavier and three months from retirement, Drake works patrol in the backwater borough of Malcolm New York. He spends his idle time reading crime novels and writing one of his own. When Drake breaks protocol on another brutal murder scene, endangering his rookie partner, his captain demotes him to the booking cage. But when another body is discovered and both victims are identified as struggling literary agents, the NYPD Chief of Detectives decides Lou's writing experience could benefit the case and pairs him with his old partner one last time. As they look for clues in the struggling publishing industry, Drake finds himself thrust into the middle of a serial murder case where a methodical perpetrator is systematically killing those who rejected him. Drake must revive his old detective prowess and trust his writer's intuition to try and solve the case, while possibly exposing the truth about the old Hennings investigation - a secret that would expose a web of corruption that could shake the NYPD to its core. ReviewRejection, Rejection, Rejection… I am definitely not rejecting this book! Former Detective Lou Drake has been on a downward spiral for the last 10 years and is willing to do whatever it takes to get through the next few months until he can retire. While on a call with a rookie cop, Lou Drake does the unthinkable and lets his partner check out a scene alone. When his partner is injured and a gruesome crime scene is discovered, Drake is thrown into the “cage” where he will spend his last days with the force. That is until a co worker decides to give him the information he needs to clear his name. Drake also decided that he is going to delve back into the wonderful world of writing by using the current murders as inspiration for his book. Thomas Matthews seriously knows his stuff. I have never been a big fan of crime drama; however, after reading Rejection, I am reconsidering this decision. Mr. Matthews had me from the very beginning of this story as told by the main character Lou Drake. This story had murder, mystery, corruption and suspense. I am usually so good at decoding who the “bad guy” is in a story; however Mr. Matthews had me guessing at every turn. REJECTION moved at a good pace, the characters were great and the plot was remarkable. I can’t say that I had one character that I liked the most, they were all great! I was a bit surprised at the ending though; I really thought there would have been more justice served. I love that Mr. Matthews showed what it is really like for all writers out there, their struggles and their gift. He made a point in showcasing that not everyone can become a published author, just because you have a type writer, word processor, computer or even old fashion pen and paper. There is A LOT more to becoming an author than simply having the tools. Kudos to Mr. Matthew for highlighting his gift with this novel. Janet Stewart! Congratulations! You're our winner! Don't forget to click here to see the next giveaway! +Giveaway BlurbSandra Cranston, an elementary teacher on leave, discovers a carriage deep in the woods. Inside is a man, Jerrod Ross, who fuels all of her wicked Regency dreams and fantasies. Ross has been torn from the only world he has ever known—1821 Cornwall, England. How will he adjust to the future and his growing desire for the lovely lady who found him? More importantly, how will he ever return to his time? ReviewI can't possibly tell you how much I'm in love with this book. It's so sweet, romantic, magical! Think about it as a sexy "Kate and Leopold". Kate and Leopold is one of my favorite movies, and I'll tell you why I decided to relate these two. Ross, while travelling in his carriage when he’s caught by a storm and passes out. When he wakes up, Ross is rescued by the lovely Sara, but 190 years have passed. She takes him to her home and the sexual tension is too much to handle. Kate and Leopold has the same unique atmosphere of love beyond time, prejudice, and the hero is just as hot! The love scenes were a very welcomed surprise. Ms. Gerrard has written an in depth story, with just the right amount of emotion and sexiness. Ross and Sarah are perfect together. I would like to have seen a bit more of dialog between them. This title could easily have been written as a full novel. By the end I just wanted to read more! I hope Ms. Gerrard starts a series with the other people that went missing from the carriage. Where did they go? I wonder what this author will be writing next, cause I'll sure read it! Timeless Heart is a spectacular debut and a novel I would highly recommend. Excerpt of 'Timeless Heart'Jerrod pulled on the black 'jeans', as Sandra called them. They were as form fitting as any of his breeches, very form fitting. Sandra had shown him how to operate the zipper contraption, amazing really. He grasped the metal tab and pulled, taking a slice of skin off his finger in the process. Sandra came running in when she heard the cursing. "Damn and blast! One can suffer serious injury just dressing." His irritation dissipated as he followed her gaze toward the matter of his undress. He was quite exposed, even though he was wearing those 'boxer briefs' she had given him. They too, were quite snug. He rarely wore undergarments under his breeches. He hated the loose, flowing small clothes that tied at the sides. He had to admit, the under wear, as she called them, was like a second skin. He liked the feel of it, and obviously it was needed to protect one's privates from these dangerous metal teeth of the zipper. He winced inwardly at the thought of his tackle being caught in such a device. "I can't work the dammed thing," he snarled quietly. “Would you mind?" He could have sworn her mouth dropped open. But, to her credit, she did not hesitate. She walked toward him and reached for the tab of the zipper. Her fingers lightly brushed past his cock, his reaction was immediate and very noticeable, making putting up the zipper even more of a challenge. He drew a ragged breath. She stepped closer, lowering her head. The flowery scent from her hair was tantalizing. She pulled. The zipper stuck. Jerrod heard her sigh. She pulled and tried again. It went up half way. She stepped back quickly like she had been burned. "You can manage the rest," she mumbled. “The shaving cream and razor are in the bathroom, call if you need me.” Sandra turned as if to flee, but he reached out and softly held her wrist. God's blood, he was aroused. “Stay, Sandra, please,” he managed. He reached for her hand. Was it his fervent imagination, or was her hand trembling as well? She nodded, and he took her hand. It was small, warm, and feminine, nearly disappearing in his. It felt as if it belonged in his. He let go, quickly buttoned the shirt and stuffed it under the waistband of his jeans, then continued to fight with the zipper. Finally, he got it up. He rubbed the quite visible whiskers now showing on his face. He was anxious to shave. “Come with me, Sandra?” Once they reached the bathroom he looked around. Where was the razor? Letting go of Sandra’s hand, he picked up a cylindrical object, and pressed the button on the top. A mighty exhale of air was quickly followed by a mass of white cream. He sniffed, almost a minty odor. Was this the shaving cream she spoke of? He rubbed it between his fingers. Most interesting. Still, he saw no razor. There was something with a handle next to the cream. Jerrod laid down the cream, it went all over the wall, and himself. Grumbling, he reached for a towel and began to wipe. A sexy laugh bubbled from Sandra, a sensual sound that went straight to his cock, hardening it even more. Her laugh was glorious, but she made no move to assist him. She just crossed her arms and watched him, a sexy, amused grin on her lovely face. Minx. After he removed the mess, he reached for the handled object. He stroked a finger over the top, slicing his skin. A small dot of blood rose to the surface. He sucked on it, while staring at the object. Not a straight razor as he was used to, but some sort of razor nonetheless. He pressed a button and the bloody thing began to vibrate in his hand. He shouted and dropped it like he was handling hot coals. “The bloody thing is alive!” he cried out. Sandra bent down to pick it up. She flicked the button and turned it off. “It’s a Gillette Fusion razor, it vibrates, to give you a closer shave. See? Five blades.” He raised an eyebrow. “Five blades? I am hardly a suckling pig to be carved into bits. Do you perhaps have a straight razor?” Sandra laughed again. It was such a pleasurable sound, he longed for it to continue. “Only serial killers use those. Is that what you used? It’s a wonder you didn’t lop your head off.” Jerrod’s handsome face twisted in confusion, frustration and irritation. He felt out of his element, as he had ever since he awoke in her room. She stepped in close, the razor still in her hand. Her countenance was playful, her eyes mischievous. Or was it desire? “Would you like me to shave you?”Her voice was deep, husky, he would daresay, suggestive. Jerrod playfully leaned down to whisper in her ear, “Do you make a habit of this? Offering to assist a man in his toilette?” His breath fanned her cheek like a wave of hot sex, covering her body like a cloak. The room became close, the air vibrating with sexual tension and raw, desirous heat. “You do have experience in this, I trust.” “I shave myself, how different can it be?” He cocked his brow. “Indeed? And where do you…shave?” Her face was aflame. She slammed the toilet lid down and pushed him none too gently onto the closed seat. “My legs. Women shave their legs in this time.” He gave her his sexy, lop-sided grin. “Indeed? Now I am very intrigued.” Sandra picked up the shave cream and spritzed some into her hands, mixed it between her palms, and leaned down to spread a thin film over his face. He spread his long legs wide, allowing her to step in closer to him. He wanted her as close as she could get. His cock was hard as stone. He looked up at her. She looked nervous, and excited, he could see desire in her lovely gray eyes. Picking up the Fusion, she flicked on the button, and a low hum filled the silence surrounding them. Her breasts slightly brushed by his cheek, a low growl rumbled deep in his chest. Jerrod reached over with a long finger and swiped the bit of shave cream that was on her sweater, right on the nipple. Barely there contact, but enough to have that flame between them roar to life. He smiled seductively as he wiped the cream on his own throat. He slid over on the closed toilet seat, so that his thighs were touching her leg, reached behind her back, and eased her down until she was sitting on his leg. “Shave me,” he whispered hoarsely.
