Four novel box set! M/M Romance!

This is a shifter story about: Diego and Saoirse are having their first child. John is in love with is best friend, Freddy who doesn’t know shifters exist. Grant finds his mate but doesn’t know what she looks like in human form. Nathan finds his mate who suddenly forgets him the next day. That’s a lot going on in one book. I wish the author would have separated these to give them their own book. I had a hard time keeping up with who was who and what their storyline was. They’re great characters but I don’t get to sink into their stories with so much going on. I really liked the world building. There is such a complicated and cool world of shifters that the author creates. Saoirse is pregnant and she pops up in the story in various scenes. It’s nice to see her progress! First up is Grant’s story. Monique, his reluctant mate, slapped her kid across the face, so I wasn’t a big fan of hers. Then I came to the sex scene. It’s two wolves having sex. Eww. I really don’t want to read that in a romance. Grant’s main thought is to get Monique pregnant so she’ll stay/mate with him. It is all very unromantic. We ease into Nathan’s story and another animal sex scene. Why?! Nisha is this mysterious woman who has no idea she’s a wolf or that they mated. It is a great plot! I really love the action with her being kidnapped and the rescue. I enjoyed how she thought he was bonkers crazy and then she finds out the truth. I love Nisha’s personality! John is the shifter who now has to explain to his mate that werewolves do exist and that they’re fated to be together. Who’s first reaction wouldn’t be to run away? I totally understood Freddy. I really loved their story. I could feel the reluctance and nerves between them but also that spark of hope that it may work out. If you enjoy shifter books then you should definitely check out Worth The Wait by Fiona McGier! Giveaway:

Alexa Piper writes steamy romance that ranges from light to dark, from straight to queer. She’s also a coffee addict. She loves writing series, and her Fairview Chronicles follow a ragtag gang of supernaturals who try to make their city safer. Mostly. Her second series, Dusk & Dawn, explores banter and the trappings of a world in which Vampires, Werewolves, and the Fae live alongside humans. Connect with Alexa on Facebook or Instagram, follow her on Twitter, and subscribe to her newsletter! |

The handsome vampire, the human and the sexy elf have to save Christmas in this paranormal world…
The beginning is a little confusing. We’re reading the writing of the character the author is writing. The story is continued as she writes it through the story which I wound up really enjoying. It is like two stories in one. Charlie/Charlotte is heading home for Christmas even though she really doesn’t want to. She hates dresses but opts to wear one. I know exactly how she feels. Now, the scenes are very jumpy, the pace is also slow moving and the editing is rough. I did receive an ARC copy so perhaps that’s the reason? I’m not going to take off any stars for that. That said, the story plays out that she’s going on a date with a handsome doctor but there’s nothing average about this world. Witches, elves and vampires live here too. That puts a nice spin on things. Now the vampire, the human and the elf have to save Christmas. That includes a heavy attraction between all three. There’s a lot of steam toward the end of the book with a m/m/f scene that I really enjoyed.
If you like holiday themed books then Holiday Magic would definitely tickle your fancy.

Jim is a parole officer obsessed with a certain investigation and a certain woman. Calista is that woman who comes into his life to turn it upside down. She comes with some baggage, a dangerous ex-boyfriend. With both of them on trouble how can they deal with their intense attraction?
Romantic suspense is one of my favorite genres! Arresting Jeremiah is one of those books that grabs you from the first page and refuses to let go. It begins with an action scene that really paints a picture of Jim’s character. Oh, how I love the tough cop types. Then Calista shows up and their attraction is undeniable. I’m surprised my Kindle didn’t start smoking. From there it’s a wild ride of bullets and kisses. Will they survive his investigation? Will they survive her ex? What happens when Calista and Jim start falling in love with each other? You have to read Arresting Jeremiah to find out the answers! I read the first book a while ago and loved it. I’m happy to say the second book is just as awesome. I can’t wait to see what else this author comes up with!

The blurb is actually a little confusing. I’m not sure if words are missing or some things are out of order. Basically, Rowan and Jeremy are thrust together to save a Christmas theme park. They start out as annoyed partners but end up actually enjoying each other’s company.
I really love the details of the park. It sounds like such a lovely treat to go there for the holidays. The descriptions are so vivid! I want to go on each ride and meet all the elves. Rowan is hard to like. There is something about her attitude that just doesn’t rub me right. Jeremy is easy to like. He has a good personality. I would have loved to go traveling with him. There really isn’t any action, although a misunderstanding gives Rowan and Jeremy some friction. The Magic of Christmas reminds me of those Hallmark movies. They’re a little cheesy but super romantic. Sometimes you just need to forget the world for a little while and this book does the trick for me.

Holly moved away from her mother and her best friend, to get away from a vengeful abusive boyfriend. Now she's indulging her inner introvert to avoid being noticed, even working from her small apartment as a writer. She's never told the two who love her the most what she was experiencing because she was ashamed that she stayed with him for so long. Plus the police didn't believe her when she went to them. Her friend talks her into going onto a social network site. Feeling brave, she puts up an entry for the site and waits to see if anyone notices. Alexander was burned by a past girlfriend that he caught in flagrant delecto with her male secretary. So he's sworn off women and dating. His assistant Zach, his best friend from long ago, goads him into signing up for the same social network site. Soon he and Holly are texting each other, bonding over movies they watch separately in their homes, and sharing only their first names with no pictures. When Holly starts receiving packages with ominous threatening notes, she knows she's been found. She decides to go to a lawyer for advice. Guess who the lawyer is? Yup. Alexander.
This book is written in alternating chapters of first-person. First we get Holly's insights, then we get Alexander's. I liked how they both are tentative about falling for someone new after their previous experiences. Holly is especially skittish. Alexander imagines doing all kinds of naughty things with Holly, but understands that he'll have to take things very slowly with her. There's such a fine line between even mild BDSM play, and real abuse, especially to someone who has suffered real pain from another man's hands. His offering to have her move into his guest bedroom is contrived, but it works out well in the story. He's keeping her safe, and she blossoms knowing she's being protected. This allows their romance to proceed. When they act on their impulses, the heat level is explosive as well as healing for Holly. No one has ever treated her with such respect, or consideration for her feelings. Alexander's discovery that Holly reciprocates his desire is sweet and steamy.
Please be aware that there is a disclaimer at the start of the book stating that the publisher and the author do not condone non-consensual sexual activities in any way. For some this will be a trigger, since Holly not only talks about what has been done to her, but there is an intense scene where the abusive man captures her again. This time the injuries, both physical and mental, will take her some time to overcome. Alexander has to go into therapy to deal with his guilt over not being able to protect her, though he swore he would. However, this is a romance, and there is a happy ending, including a steamy scene in the Epilogue!
Behind Two Screens is a very enjoyable read.

Vivian Hayes is one very lucky woman. She has two men who adore her--twins, though not identical. Since the genres listed older woman, the twins must be younger than her. They're all committed to their relationship, which involves love as much as great sex. Ever since her mother remarried years ago, Viv's been lusting after her step-brother Noah. They had a kiss once, and she's tried to avoid him ever since. She's already got two men so why complicate things? So she told Noah they needed to do alternate Christmases with her mom and step-father. This is her year to show up with her twins in tow. Much to her chagrin, Noah is there this year also. Now what? Can he convince her that it's fine to have a harem of three? And what will her guys think?
This was an easy read. The writing was smooth, and characters were clearly described. I found it odd that Vivian's mom and step-father are not only fine with her bringing her two men into their house for the holidays but they're both aware of how Noah feels about her. Indeed, her mom encourages her to give him a chance to be a part of her life. How...enlightened. Vivian's job is at Cowan Enterprises, run by Sabine, who values Vivian highly. They sell sex toys, but also run parties where employees, called Kitty Cats, dress seductively and weasel important secrets out of rich and powerful men. Her escort business is actually an information collection agency, and "her database could ruin the lives of many very powerful men." What does she use this information for? We don't really find out. But the whole idea struck me as rather sexist--kind of a Playboy club run by women who delight in using men--only occasionally having sex with them.
There's a sub-plot about Vivian's mom who has a soft spot for some cats who've been living in a barn that the town owns by default, after the owner died. There's a group of rich powerful men who want to knock the barn down to build something else, and Vivian is enlisted to help her mom help the cats. How? With a Kitty Cat party, of course.
I wanted more focus on the sexual relationship enjoyed by the soon-to-be harem of men that all want Vivian, with no jealousy, no possessiveness, and no touching of each other. Although considering that two of them are brothers, that would be weird and gross. There are frequent and inventive sex scenes. The one I was waiting for, the three-way penetration scene, was described from Noah's point of view, not Vivian's. What? A woman gets to have three hot men at once, and I only read about how much the new man in the group enjoyed himself? I felt cheated.
