Vampires and werewolves are loose in The Bronx. They’re not looking to make friends but rule the neighborhood in a supernatural gang war. Taina has dealt with them once before, when they killer her family. Now she back for her revenge…
Taina was dealing with a lot of trauma from her families fiery death. I like how she was determined to do the right thing, no matter the cost. However, she was not tough enough to get that revenge. I’m not sure why she came back to The Bronx when she was so clearly unprepared. Arnaldo was a former addict, reformed to a good guy trying to do good and he wants to help her. Together they began an uneasy alliance that was sexually charged. I really liked the action and romance balance in the book. There was a lot of character introduction in the beginning that was a bit hard to follow. This felt more like the second book in a series rather than the first. I did like the addition of the sweet zombie that collects cans. There are also witches. This story has a nice mix of paranormal.
Void of Course was a promising start in a new series!

Jules is having a rough time with men. Evan is having a rough time with women. They both decide to quit looking for love and enjoy nature for a little while. Mother nature decides to play matchmaker and thrust them together. Did they finally find the right pairing or is this just another bad decision?
I wasn’t sure what to expected when I started reading this book. My contemporary choices lately have not been hits. So, I was a bit weary when I open the eBook and then I fell into the wonderful, sweet, sexy, funny world of Stacy Gold. Jules was just having one day after another but that doesn’t compare to Evan’s luck. Add that to them both being stuck out in the wilderness and let the fun begin. Or rather, the action, romance, flirting and humor. Seriously, this book had it all. Why not rate it 5 stars you ask? I was absolutely going to but the point of view threw me. Both main characters switch first person point of views. That made reading the story a bit tricky and hard to follow at times. Still, I did enjoy the book very much. This was my first book by Stacy Gold and I sure hope to read more (preferably with a different point of view style).
Wild at Heart is a fun, sweet romance, especially if you’re going camping.

Roman might have rescued her this time, but Anna “Sway” Tyler isn't about to give him what he wants or confide in him the secrets she carries. She's on a mission, and he's in her way. Roman doesn’t trust criminals, especially not ones who change their identity as quickly and effectively as Sway. Forced to work together on a mission from Interpol to capture Sway’s financier, the man who taught her everything she knows, Sway and Roman must decide if trusting each other is worth the risk. |

Roman and Sway are like oil and water. Now, they’re stuck working together on a mission. Add in some wild orphans and lots of danger, you have Stealing Chaos by Sarah Leyton
I have to say one of the scenes that pulled me in was when Sway and Roman first ‘meet’. She’s hanging from a balcony, precariously and he swoops in to try to save the day. That is just a taste of the action and entertainment in Stealing Chaos. Sway and Roman have great chemistry. Their romance was such a push and pull that it drew me in. When they finally give in to their attraction it’s like fireworks. Those kisses sound so very sexy. If you enjoy action with your romance, this book is for you!

Now, they just have to keep up the act until rescue arrives. That’s easier said than done—the man’s sex appeal is as big as the bulge in his pants. |

Amena is the leader on a documentary in Africa. It all goes to hell when they’re attacked. They find the elusive tribe as they flee. However, they don’t believe in single women. She’s stuck with a choice: Marry the sarcastic tour guide Peter or a tribesman.
I love how tough and annoyed Amena is. She’s not one to be a helpless woman but she’s stuck in a terrible predicament. She agrees to marry Peter but technically it’s not a real marriage. They’re just trying to survive in the tribe until they can find a way out. However, spending all that time together has them bonding. Intimately. The sex scenes were smoking hot. Wow. Hello, ice cold shower. There’s also some action that really kept the pace going.
For a short story, Mr. Not So Heroic, is a fun and steamy read!

Here we go! Another anthology by Evernight Publishing. I really enjoyed their collections.
Reluctant Groom is all about weddings where one man isn't as sure as the other. These men are determined to say I do and I loved reading about their chase. There are seven stories in this book.
Worth the Risk by Allyson Young
Sins of the Father Hannah Morse
Room With a View by James Cox
Making It Real by Marie Medina
Protecting Chauncey by Cooper Mckenzie
October Surprise L.J. Longo
Not So Sham Wedding by Megan Slayer
My favorite is absolutely tied between Sins of the Father by Hannah Morse and Room with a View by James Cox. Those two stories have such alpha male, gorgeous, tough, soft hearted characters. I fell in love with them. If you're only going to read two stories, those are a must read. Luckily you get five more stories and I enjoyed them as well.
So, pick up your copy of Reluctant Groom and prepare for steamy fun!

Harper’s life is changed by a bullet but it leads her to a man that may just save her future…
Harper wakes up in the ICU, unsure what happened. Things are patchy and her fiancé talks about her being attacked. To bad she can’t remember it. Things unfold and suddenly her fiancé is the prime suspect in her attempted murder. Now, she’s not sure who to trust. That’s when she meets Landon (Handsome!). She isn’t looking for a relationship but her heart says otherwise. The mystery unfolds as their romance grows. Hippotherapy is interesting. I’ve never heard of it before this book. I really enjoyed that detail. The book is slow in some places but the romance is wonderfully sweet. I think the suspense element is on point as well. This is the first book I read in this series and I’d highly recommend Gorgeous Scars!

The horny males hooted and grabbed themselves. There wasn’t a female alive who found that sexy, yet they continued to do it. A few more yelled creative ways to fuck me properly.
A growl rumbled in Derek’s chest as he yanked me up.
Slipping his grip, I twirled around him like a drunken ballet dancer.
Our audience was eating it up.
“Have you lost your mind?”
“Not yet.” I came to an abrupt stop. “Ready?”
“For what?” Derek asked warily.
“For this.” I climbed him like a tree, and ground sinuously against his groin. “Remember. We need to keep them distracted. Very distracted.”
“You want me to just stand here while you do your deranged nympho act?” His voice was a low, sexy growl.
“Sorta.” I gave him my Debbie Sunshine smile. “Ever danced the Tango?”
“I have.”
“Good. We’re going to start with the Tango and move on to simulating sex acts.”
Derek’s eyes narrowed. “You are bat shit crazy.”
“Am I? Or are those bastards going to be so busy watching us, they won’t notice when Zarek’s warriors arrive or Qa’a transforms into his true form. Unless you have another dance in mind?”
Derek let out a long breath. “I don’t. Let’s do it, amore mio.”
I tapped my gauntlet and hot Latin music filled the air.
Derek circled me like I was his prey and he wanted to eat every inch of me.
I darted to the left.
Derek grabbed my right hand, spun me around him and pulled me into a tight embrace. His lips brushed mine.
I jerked away.
He jerked me back, sliding his leg between mine.
The catcalls grew louder.
His large hands skimmed down my back, grabbed my hips and up I went. “It’s working,” I murmured in his ear.
Derek twirled me around his shoulders and flashed me a mental image of Zarek and Sariel at the back of the crowd. “Get ready.” He slowly slid me down his taut body, letting me feel every delicious muscle.
“I’m always ready.” Derek dipped me and lowered his head. Just before our lips met, I whispered. “I spotted Vrax. He in the first row, third seat from the left.”
One second the War Commander’s lips were on mine, the next he thrust me between his legs and hauled me back up. “I see him.” He promenaded me across the dance floor, spinning me this way and that.
I broke free and before I could make a run for it, Derek had me pinned to the floor. Damn he was fast.
Derek caged me with his arms and ground his hips against my pussy.
I writhed under him like an over-sexed whore.
The thugs went wild.
Yanking out his pistol, Baelish quickly stunned the six or more goons trying to climb onto the stage.
Derek totally ignored them and dry humped me with a great deal of vigor.
The catcalls got louder.
I pulled his head down, and gave him a long, voracious kiss.

Amelia is in love with her brother’s best friend. Teague has feeling for Amelia but being deployed overseas and she being his best friend’s sister, makes things complicated. Can they explore the feelings between them? How with her brother feel? What about the Inn that Teague and her brother own?
Amelia has the ‘green thumb’ in the family. She’s not concerned with how she looks, only how the garden does. She has always had feelings for Teague but with him being her brother’s best friend there’s a big barrier. Teague has issues of his own like being back from the military and his best friend is her brother. It’s an interesting tangle that I enjoyed unraveling. I liked their romance, it felt genuine and steamy. There’s also the addiction of Nora and James. They had a lot of page time in this story and we got to hear their tale of love. I liked all the characters but I feel like the focus was a little chaotic with the second couple added in. The romance is beautiful and hot. I really enjoyed this series and this book fits in perfectly!

Anna and her friends go to Aruba for spring break. Sunshine. Laughter. The beach. A dead body…
Anna’s best friend is found murdered and with thin evidence the police are sure Anna’s the suspect. Her friends turn on her one buy one. The media is already convinced of her guilt. Her life is slipping away day by day and her best friend's killer is still out there…
Noooo! Okay, this is going to be hard to review because I enjoyed the hell out of this book. I liked Anna. She is just stuck in a terrible, hard place. She trusts the wrong people and then everyone seems to be lying. The media is so well portrayed, guilty until proven innocent. As the trail proceeds, the story flashes back to what happened on the trip and a few childhood memories. It all leads up to the big finale. Is Anna convicted of murder? Innocent or guilty? Then I came to the ending and I read until two am, unable to put this book down. I had a suspect and I’m usually right about these things. The facts put together added up to one possible killer and …. I was so wrong! My assumptions are a terrible mistake. The twisted, beautiful ending is an explosion that had my mouth dropping open. Well done, Ms. Haas, well done! I’m so going to look up other books by this author!
