It seems like everyone is writing a ‘biker’ book now a days. I was leery to read this until I saw it was written by James Cox. This guy doesn’t do average or normal. Chaos Unchained takes places in the future where Earth is a prison colony and Mars is where humanity lives. But there are crazy rules, like women are used for breeding, gay’s are executed and African men are slaves. (See not your normal biker book) Chaos is sentenced to prison where he meet’s Beau and the sparks fly.
Chaos’ father was a serial killer, which was a really interesting background. He fights those urges in himself to be that violent. So he fights in prison, not that there’s much to do. He meets Beau who is giving to him for pleasure. Beau is so freaking adorable! He had dimples and was extremely goofy. I instantly loved him. I like how though they were attracted to each other it wasn’t instant love. The only reason this didn’t get 5 stars is that it was too short. I wanted more! Thankfully this is a series. I loved the plot, liked the world building and am totally smitten with the characters! There were some dark moments (like the end fight) that really made the story feel rounded. And the reunion on Mars was fabulous! As for the sex, the author knows how to make your panties wet. Can you say sexy?!
Outlaw MC is a new series about bikers on space fighting for freedom and finding some hot love in the process. This book is highly recommended!

Dance Partner was a romance that turned off the beaten path. I love reading different approaches to a love story, so this was right up my alley. Right off the bat, the heroine, Wendy, pursued the hero, Jim. Jim’s a man on the mend. After losing his leg in Afghanistan, he’s cautious and struggling to redefine who he is in this new life. Jim is easy to love and sympathize with. The man’s been through hell and back and this is his first time back in the saddle. His journey to wellness is admirable.
From the minute they lock eyes in a club, sparks fly. Wendy saunters over to start a conversation, that’s cut short when Jim is wheeled away by his friend. When Wendy discovers he’s in a wheel chair she’s intrigued, rather then turned off. A fact that stuns Jim when she makes contact with his friend and trainer, Grady.
I loved that Wendy went the extra mile to show him his missing leg didn’t bother her, but some of her forward actions made me uncomfortable, ie: showing up at his physical therapy session. It took me out of the story, and for that reason I had to go with a four star instead of five.
Ms. Steele wove humor, emotion, and romance into forty three pages. She didn’t glaze over the issues, which lent to its realism. The pace was spot on. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful sweet romance with a bit of heat.

Alex played a roll for the motorcycle club in the Skulls that many didn’t understand. He didn’t dress like a brother or wear the cut, but he did a lot of the dirty work behind the scenes. When he and a female he had “bought” are harmed by a long forgotten enemy. It is up to Alex to find the man responsible. In the meantime will Alex find love with Sunshine or will his whole world including the club, fall apart?
I really loved this book. I’m not typically a huge follower of motorcycle club series’ however this story was wonderfully written. I really enjoyed the way that Sunshine, while a virgin initially, became very confident in her role in Alex’s life and a force to be reckoned with. I also loved that she had a definitive part in the happily ever after. The sex in this book was HOT and Alex made no mistake in claiming Sunshine in every way possible. She in return claimed his emotions and his heart. An unusual but refreshing spin to this story was the realistic relationships of the supporting characters. Some are dealing with infidelities, infertility, insecurities, and all the other real life things that can make relationships a challenge. The love of family was a strong theme and this really made a difference. The violence was not over the top and the biker language was not overly-done either.
I highly recommend this author!
Jonah is an agent for Spectrum. Silas is his handler, just a voice in his ear that Jonah fantasies about. Then Jonah is almost killed by the very group of the government he works for. Now Jonah needs Silas' help to survive. The two men finally meet and release all their pent up passion. But will they be able to stay together in the resulting chaos?
The beginning was very rushed but then some parts were extremely slow moving. The pace continued to waver throughout the book and was the only reason this book missed the 5 star mark. Several months pass in the blink of an eye. Then a scene and a week passes then another month. You get the picture. Pace was definitely off. So that was the bad but there was ALOT of good. Jonah and Silas were fantastic, well developed characters. I love how dominant Silas was even though he was only a voice in Jonah’s ear. The sex was really freaking good. Could have used more details but I’m greedy. Then comes the plot, the twists which were also fabulous! Secret agent being hunted. Good guys that aren’t so good. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.
Grayscale is a rush of action and romance.
Title: The Fire Underneath

Straight Joe meets sexy, gay firefight Dallas and these two are faced with a smoldering attraction amid the heroics of being a firefighter.
Firefighters are so freaking sexy. I love them. I love books about them. The plot was really good. It was perfectly balanced between action and romance and Joe’s family plus Dallas’ ex. All entertaining. My only complaint is actually a pretty big one. Joe’s personality. He had a lot of overly feminine moment’s. He could have definitely passed for a women. The story read as if the author had this character as a female and then switched it to male. That’s what it read like. Oh and does everything with Joe have to be pretty? Or so many ‘dude’s’?
I loved the plot. I liked the writing. I didn’t like the m/m aspect of this story. I’d read a m/f from this author but probably not another m/m.
Fletched and Shawn are straight best friends who escaped their boring Iowa town but they’re out of money and down on their luck. They go to a bar to spend their last $40 on beer, typical male plan, lol. And to their surprise they meet a generous German man who offers them a stack of cash and a proposition.
I am slowly falling in love with Lilith Duvalier. This is the second book I’ve read by her that I totally and completely enjoyed. Almost 5 stars. The flashbacks in here should have been in italics (I was seriously confused at first.) They took away from the story rather than further it along. I think it would have been a tighter plot without them. Anyway that was the ONLY bad. The rest was FANTASTIC! Straight, best friends and their first time together. Not only being filmed for money but filmed by a stranger. Can you say kinky? Loved it! This author really knows how to write sexual tension. There’s only one sex scene in the book and it was so freaking hot. Sweet lord, I need an ice bath after that. Fletcher and Shawn were great characters, well developed, sweet and sexy. I stayed up until 3 am reading and nibbling on my bottom lip so much it’s almost swollen. Yeah, the sex was THAT good.
If you like m/m romance go no further than Lilith Duvalier.

The Billionaire's Bodyguard #3 - Can be read as standalone

Jesse and Alex are boyfriends trying to have a quiet vacation away from the spotlight. Alex own a big company and Jesse was his bodyguard.
They check into a bed and breakfast. Have sex and meet a mixed group of folks. Then they are swiftly hiking in the woods and running from a sniper? It was just so jumpy and rushed. When did they get shot at? What did they do? And just when it starts to get good again, the guys escape the sniper and go back to the inn for...food. Just like that? The plot definitely needed work. What I did enjoy and the reason for 3 stars was the characters. They had full personalities and felt real despite the plot. The sex was okay. The scenes were stilted and didn’t flow right with lots of reputation. I know that sounds like a daunting, do not read recommendation but I really liked the characters. If you can find this book on sale I say give it a go.
Cress is another amazing installment of The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. Cress is a lunar (From the moon) but she was born a shell. They’re supposed to be put to death after birth. She was placed in a satellite orbiting earth for 7 years to spy, hack and hide Lunar ships. But the awkward and lonely Cress dreams of a hero. Unfortunately, she gets Thorne.
Welcome back to the fantastic set of characters in the unique world of The Lunar Chronicles. Cinder, Scarlet, Kai, Wolf and even Iko. This book had all the characters I’ve fallen in love with. Thorne is a not so sweet, not really a hero but he will help a damsel in distress. I really learned to love him. This book had action, adventure, mystery, twists, a diced finger and even a little romance. That was a hell of a kiss by Thorne. I loved Cress. She’s so awkward, it’s adorable.
This series continues to be imaginative, unique and so good you should not pass The Lunar Chronicles up.
Casey Hobbes was rescued from a dangerous cult as child. Her stepmother got her away just in time, and the small town to which they escaped has encompassed and protected them all these years. But Casey, understandably, has trust issues. She’s been in hiding for years to protect her identity as well as protect her stepmother from prosecution. She’s only told her best friends about her past and that time in her life has never been discussed again. Casey’s a serial dater, never allowing anyone to get too close. Enter Zane Buchanan a charming professor, whose love of learning embraces everything, but his specialty is researching and exposing dangerous cults, and his holy grail is finding the lone survivor of the Sunshine Seekers Cult.
They don’t know each other’s secrets, but they do know the attraction between them. I liked this book and recommend you give it a look. Maybe the heat between the two (pun intended) at their first meeting is a little quick, but Ms. Barth has drawn three dimensional characters who have their faults, as well as a small town with all of the baggage that goes along with everyone knowing more about you than you like. It was fast paced and the plot was a new one for me – cults and their ramifications on the followers. You’ll enjoy this one.

Genre: Contemporary, Anthology, Erotic

This was a MF anthology involving uniformed love interests. From a fireman, to law enforcement, military men, a female doctor, and NCIS/Federal Agents this book is HOT. The men had one thing in common: Domination. The women didn’t know what spanked them (literally in some stories), which was done in an enticing and enjoyable manner. The writing was believable, the love stories happily ever after, and the characters easy to fall in love with. While the women were submissive in the bed they were all strong women outside of the romantic relationship and it was easy to see how the men fell for them. It would be a difficult thing for me to name a favorite among these, as they were all very good. I will say that Doris O’Connor’s story of a fireman Dominant saving a submissive named Cat from being stuck on her ledge was a great opener. Rhys was a sizzler from beginning to end (pun intended) and it was a wonderfully done Happily Ever After.
I give this Anthology 5 stars for it’s complete and utterly uniform (see what I did there) sexiness. The scenes were all very well done, without being trite. The relationships were believable even when the characters didn’t know each other long. There were some common themes (other than uniforms and dominance) that I enjoyed as well.
