My name’s Tevy and you’ll find me staring out the window of a psychiatric center. I’m not crazy, I don’t think. I see angels. Not the sweet faced, flowing robe kind either. I see sword-wielding, flying over our heads and killing each other angels. Everyone thinks I’m nuts, which is why I’m in here. For a while, I thought maybe that something went wrong in my head, maybe from my parents dying. But I was wrong, terribly wrong about everything: my parents, the angels, who I truly am or rather what I am.
There’s a war coming and it’s time to pick sides.
Chased by her criminal father, Katya Dalca runs to New Orleans and straight into the arms of Luke Hunter. She succumbs to Luke’s potent sexuality. He not only steals her breath, he steals her heart and the only leverage she has against her father. She is left with no choice except to pick up the pieces and rebuild her life alone. Undercover DEA agent Luke Hunter thought his assignment—to recover a stolen flash drive to gain the trust of the Russian mob—was like any other. But his target brings him to his knees, and after one taste of her intoxicating beauty, he's in too deep. Doing his job means walking away, leaving his heart behind with nothing but a promise to reunite. It's a promise he can't keep. When Katya's past comes back, her world turns upside down, her only hope is the one man she is most vulnerable to—Luke.
I thought the story has great potential. Luke and Katya have an interesting night together, and then he’s gone. With only a promise to meet a year later, she picks up the pieces and goes into hiding. Luke must finish his mission and that is to take down Katya’s father at all cost. He swears he will come back for Katya, no matter how long it takes. Their story drags out for six long years, however the actual book jumps into the future so quickly it is confusing at times. When they finally reunite I feel the story ran very slow and became a little boring at times. The story line has amazing promise, as well as the characters, but the pace really needs to be addressed. I hope to read more from this author in the future!

English Professor Caitlin Shanahan has finally earned tenure and purchased the century-old two-story house of her dreams. At thirty-four, she'd better face facts: her future is teaching college and writing plays, not falling in love. So why is she so drawn to little hometown actress Meghan Keenan, who's rented her upstairs apartment, or worse, Meg’s hunk of a lover Kurt Davis, a carpenter? Twenty-year-old Meg has a plan. First she'll seduce the reluctant professor, then she'll share her sexual delights with both Cat and her carpenter. When she's successfully brought them together, she can make her escape and explore what's beyond the only town she's ever lived in. Kurt can't stand the up-tight professor who's hired him to build a gazebo and refurbish her old house.—The house he wanted for himself...
This story is about three totally different people, enjoying one another and exploring their desires. I really enjoyed their triad. They have such different backgrounds and dreams. However they come together beautifully. Their romance is hot in all the right places and it makes me love this pairing even more. If you love romance with more than two people you're going to love this book! I thought the story is cleverly written.

Tihar has come to earth for a female and the moment he spots Sarah, he knows she’s the one. Sarah is a bit more hesitant. Tihar is an Askole warrior with scales and tentacles. Their feisty romance is interrupted when rebels attack. Will there be a future for Sarah and Tihar?
Being a Jones female means Sarah has psychic abilities and a fearless attitude. I instantly liked her. She’s in a bad situation but doesn’t take the whole mating thing easy. Tihar is an alpha male, warrior and oh yeah, he has tentacles for hair. That is a bit freaky but I actually like it. An alien in a sci book that actually looks like an alien, that’s refreshing. Together they make an explosive couple, complete with action and humor. Several times I found myself laughing out loud and on the edge of my seat. I haven’t followed the series religiously but I had no problem following this plot so I think this would be a great stand-alone read if it’s your first time reading this author.
Game on Askole is a highly recommended read!
thought she knew crumbles around her, Mekaisto's charms become harder to resist. Forced to face a horrible truth, Celina struggles against her late husband’s betrayal and the dark seduction of the devil she knows.
She grit her teeth. “Do you know what I went through to get you out of here? I deserve something in return.”
“Oh, I will give you something in return.” His eyes gleamed as he stared at her before turning his attention back on the Lumen. A cruel smile curled on his lips as he waved his hand, the pillars crashing to the floor, and sending the electricity sparking all around. The circle of blue fire changed to regular flames, and lit around Kai, the glow inside the room changing to a sharp red color.
Haku looked both excited and terrified. “Here we go.”
“It can’t be.” Father Christopher stared through the smoky glow at the demon he’d trapped.
Kai took on a more demonic appearance and the flames around him illuminated his red eyes, his smile so wide his pointed teeth gleamed more menacingly than ever. The Lumen ran forward, muttering strange words and holding their hands above their heads. Fire soared up to the cathedral ceiling, hiding Kai from view.
“No!” Celina darted toward the flames, but something hard smashed into her.
She landed on her back, losing what wind she had left in her lungs. The tackler lunged, grabbed at her, but she raised the pistol and fired.
The room whirled out of focus as the man burned from the inside out, her ears ringing as they had the night Thomas was murdered. The charred body fell to the floor, and she stared at it through a blurred vision.
She’d taken a human life, and it hadn’t felt like anything she’d imagined. Instead of satisfaction, guilt warred inside her, despite it being in self-defense. Numbness pushed away the shame, and the idea of rescuing Kai and seeing those responsible for Thomas’s death coming to a painful end snapped her back to reality.
She stood. Most of the Lumen lay mutilated on the floor. Father Christopher was the only member of the order left standing.
“Celina, please…” He raised his hands higher, trying to hold the fire.
“End this now.”
He shook his head.
Her inner battle waged on. She’d killed a person, reacted in the heat of the moment, but she couldn’t raise the pistol to shoot the priest when he wasn’t attacking her.
A shadow fell next to her. She spun her arm sideways to point the pistol in the direction, but froze.
He brushed his hand through the air, and the fire lifted to the ceiling, setting the wooden beams alight.
“H-h-how did you get out?” Father Christopher wrung his hands as he stared at Kai.
“I could always get out…Venatore.” He hissed the word. “I just wanted to see how many of you were left.”
The priest ran, but Linda blocked the door, cutting off the chance of escape.
“Someone will find a way to kill you, Mekaisto.” The priest backed away from her, and turned to glare at the demon king.
Kai shrugged. “Others have tried through the centuries, and yet, here I am.”
Celina glanced up at the ceiling as the fire spread to the walls. “We should get out.”
“I need you to close your eyes again.” He licked his lips, his stare fixed on the priest.
She crossed her arms, opening her mouth to argue, but Haku dashed to Linda and grabbed onto her arm. “I’d rather not stay for this.”
Adam stared at his king. “Do you want me to take her along?” He motioned toward Celina.
“No,” she answered for herself.
The Sanguis demon lingered, but when Kai nodded, they bowed before vanishing in a blur.
He sighed. “You should not be here when I—”
“He might have useful information.” She tried hiding the plea in her voice.
“You have no say in this matter. He is my kill.” He took a step closer to Father Christopher. “Close your eyes, dove.”
She flinched at his harsh tone and did as he ordered.
Evil slithered to her core as if all life rotted around her. Someone grabbed her from behind and she guessed it was the priest before he spoke.
“Take a look at what you made your deal with, my child.”

Caroline is a school teacher in her late twenties still living under her overprotective, Southern Belle mother’s watchful eye. She longs for adventure and romance and is excited to head down to the Crystal Coast to spend summer break as a waitress at her aunt’s bar and grill with her best buddy, Ryan. Jake is a soldier with a secret keeping him up at night. He’s biding his time, working at the Military Ocean Terminal near Crystal Coast Beach, finishing the last few months of his hitch while finishing his college degree online. When Caroline waits on Jake and his friends, Jake and Caroline are immediately drawn to each other. They both want each other, but it might take more than a little convincing to get a good southern girl like Caroline in the right frame of mind for a summer fling. Not to worry--Jake has an idea: a spanking.
The story has a lot of promise. Caroline is discovering herself while away from her mother and her overbearing ways. Jake has issues he’s trying to deal with. When they meet, they seem to click instantly. A misunderstanding causes problems between the two that is believable. I like their instant attraction and connection. Both of them have way different lifestyles, but they are perfect together. I give this story 3 stars because, I did feel that the ending is rushed. The characters story left me wanting more from them and where they were headed in their new relationship.
Jade Matthews is young, but she knows what she wants in a man: someone mature and kinky. A man who shares her deepest desires to have her pregnant and submissive in the bedroom. Archer Brennan aches to unleash his dark side on the too-young grocery bagger. With an ex-wife and a messy divorce threatening to destroy his pursuit of happiness, he binds himself to one rule: hands-off.
This story is so good. Jade is sweet and shy, yet she has a dark side that needs to be fulfilled. Archer is a nice guy that is dealing with a lot. He too has a dark side and he wants to explore it with Jade. I like how the story starts slowly. Archer and Jade take their time getting to know one another first. The build-up to their first encounter makes it perfect and smoking hot.

Rika’s promotion means more time with her boss Nobuki. Dealing with the distant, sexy man is close to torture but then she meets her bosses best friend Julian. She craves them both but who will win her heart?
This is the second book in the series, Kissing The Boss. The first book is amazing and this book is a very close second. I enjoyed the interactions between Rika, Nobuki and Julian. It makes for a hot read and I liked the debate on who she’d decide to stay with at the end of the book. You’ll have to read and find out! The pace is a bit slow at times. Essentially, this is a romance story with a multicultural setting and a lot of sexiness.
I wasn’t too sure what to expect when I got a copy of I Need a Hero. This is a six-story anthology about superheroes and it’s not at all like I thought it’d be. It’s better! Superheroes have died out and long forgotten but in this anthology, they rise once more.
Behind The Mask by Elizabeth Coldwell
Riptide by Helena Maeve
Saving the Day by Jambrea Jo Jones
Flying with the Stars by Sarah Masters
Unseen by Lucy Felthouse
The Angel on the Northern Line by Catherine Curzon
Each story has a seriously unique take on the superhero theme and most of them grabbed me, refusing to let go until I finished the very last page. Sure, some were better than others but the one that stood out to me was Behind The Mask by Elizabeth Coldwell. What a story! Overall, this is a fantastic anthology that I would highly recommend to m/m romance readers who likes action with their sexy bits.
