Alex goes to sea in the effort to save his family from ruin as the only male heir with a title. While at sea, they're attacked by pirates. He manages to bargain a small part of the shipment and himself in exchange for letting his crew go free as well as the remainder of cargo. Initially he is treated with disdain due to his title but the Captain of the ship, a liberated slave, sees in him as more. They must overcome their own demons as well as the battles surrounding them in order to find love and freedom from unjust societal constraints.
I honestly was not sure what to expect as I don’t typically read steampunk and have only read a few M/M titles. I absolutely love this book! The world building and the plot are first class, the characters are easy to love and the humor is weaved into the story so well it made me laugh out loud frequently. An A+ effort in Ms. Gala’s first steampunk attempt and I will absolutely read her stories in the future. The sexual tension is thick and the actual love scenes are well worth the wait. Five stars for this awesome combination of plot, characters, world building, and hot M/M romance!
Daniel’s life was never easy, especially as a child when his mother dies and he is abandoned by his father. He discovers soon after his only legacy from his mother is that he can transform into a Selkie, a half-human half-seal. Elysandra Winters is the lonely daughter of a boat captain. She wants to be on the sea with him however he and her mother forces her to attend boarding school. She meets him and his father. Fast forward many years later and Elysandra disguises herself as a boy and gains access to another Captain’s ship as part of his crew. Daniel and Elysandra are reunited and the very things they have in common could be the same that tear them apart. Will they act on the love Daniel has for her since her childhood or will she continue to push him away.
I don’t want to spoil this story for new readers but I will say that this story is not at all what I expected and I mean that in a wonderful way! The characters are lovable and frustrating at the same time. I want to shake Ellie myself a few times but I love them both! This is a wonderful mainstream romance in my opinion and I truly enjoyed the story, the pacing, the plot, and the world building! If you love pirates, shifters, and historical romances this is your book!
We met Ryker in Spanked By the Bad Boy as Declan hot but cold as ice twin brother. His ice melts at the thought of Molly Monroe, his childhood crush. She is the girl next door and survives unbearable abuse at the hands of her father until the government intervenes. When Ryker comes back to town and stakes a claim on Molly for good it will shake up her very existence. Will this love be steady or will Ryker leave at the first sign of discomfort. If they can make it, will a threat from outside end their chances before they’ve even begun?
Once again London Saint James writes a bad boy with a heart of gold. He is believable in both roles and I found myself rooting for him even in the first book. The love scenes are, as usual, on point, interesting, and red hot! The plot is engaging. These brothers have found a soft spot in my heart and both are newly welcomed book boyfriends!
Claimed by the Bad Boy is a must read!

Natalie Carter's software programming life gets an immediate upheaval when her best friend from college and wealthy business owner Sebastian shows up begging her to play the role of his wife on a trip meant to woo a potential client. Natalie reluctantly agrees and the weekend of acting begins in Thailand. However, it takes a turn one evening where a vulnerable Natalie's deepest desires are made reality after a thunder storm. Will Sebastian finally act on Natalie's long unrequited love for him or is she another fling that shouldn't have happened?
I enjoyed this story, while it was short there was enough background information and story building done for it to be fully enjoyable. Sebastian immediately caught my attention as being a somewhat dominating alpha male however he has just enough of a soft side to allow for Natalie to take charge when she needed to. His vulnerability in the later pages of the story is a nice change of pace from most stories in this genre. I give this novella four stars for the fiery spirit of both main characters and the plot. The only points of the story that I was not fully engaged in were the supporting characters however that is likely due to the length of the story. A great read and I would highly suggest this author!
Jenna Baker is involved in a terrible car accident with her husband Tyler. Grieving for the love she has lost and the sadness they have endured, Jenna agrees to go with her best friend Sam on a holiday to Ireland a year later. While on holiday the two meet Caleb and Brady Connelly, two Irishmen that sweep them off their feet. Just when Jenna believes she may have earned a second attempt at happiness Tyler reenters her life and she is forced to give up on the future she envisioned with Brady in order to give her family a chance.
First, let me say that when I read the blurb of this novel the first thing I thought was that this could either be really great or really depressing. It was definitely GREAT!! I will say that I didn’t realize from the blurb that it was a paranormal and I don’t want to give away some of the more interesting surprises in the book but you won’t see much of it coming, and that’s awesome. The main and supporting characters were solid, and you will either love them or hate them (okay, loathe is probably the better word there). The ending was satisfying and worth the emotional ride that this novel brings us through.
I give this novel 5 stars for it’s ambitious and successful telling of this woman’s life-altering trials and happily ever after!

Sam is an eighteen year old survivor of his father’s abusive upbringing. As such he had to live in secret when it came to his preferences and sexuality. This comes to a head when his father demands his future be one Sam finds distasteful, he runs away from home to seek out a new life in Hollywood. He mets Aaron in the local bathhouse and nearly faints after the equally abusive owner mistreats him. Aaron is immediately taken with him and together they discover in each other precisely what they were looking for, and the healing that can come with being precisely who you were born to be. The Hampton Road Club and his friend Saul’s organization allow for them to blossom their love from what started as fiery lust.
This is the first book in the series and my third book from this author. Once again I give this series 5 stars! I loved Sam immediately, while he knows to ask for what he needs he doesn’t top from the bottom as obviously as some of the other submissive characters I’ve read in this series. He is subtle and it’s an endearing character trait. The same can be said of Aaron. As a Dominant, he grapples with whether his feelings and preferences are deviant or just a natural part of his personality. Same helps him come to terms with this and together they both come out stronger than when they are first introduced. I love this series and the setting, as well as the attention to detail and the overall flow of the series. Another masterpiece of gay BDSM goodness!
Saul is a founding member of a BDSM club known as the Hampton Road Club in 1926. He is searching for not only a willing submissive but also one who is as enamored of receiving pain as he is of giving it. He discovers Kenneth however he has a Master already, and one who pushes Kenneth past the bounds of his pain tolerance or even consent. While investigating Kenneth’s Master, Saul discovers Kenneth may be physically in danger with this man and he sets about trying to save him. Will Kenneth turn to Saul for freedom from an overbearing and dangerous Master who has gone to far or will Saul be forced to stand by and watch Kenneth be injured or possibly worse by Master Preston.
This is the second book in the series and my second book from this author. Once again I give this series 5 stars! The characters are either loveable or loathable, with Saul making my heart pitter patter in every scene. The difference between true D/s relationships is identified and described well in contrast to abusive relationships like the one Preston initiates and attempts to continue with Kenneth. The realistic yet flowing story make for an excellent addition to this series an these are so far my favorite couple! The conflict is real and gritty, and the sex is hot!! If you read M/M, BDSM, or want to try either my suggestion is to start with this series. Ms. Knight does not disappoint!
Georgiana Regina Lucille Fletcher also known as Gigi, was a cynical romance author who wrote about love but did not believe in its actual existence. Michael Burnett comes home on leave to help his secret agent brother keep a VIP bride’s wedding from being a bust. With a terrible female role model in her mother it is no surprise that Gigi has very little faith in love. When her mother’s much younger (read: same age as Gigi) boyfriend runs off with a bridesmaid, a very handsome Michael distracts Gigi, allowing her family to force her to take the missing bridesmaid place. When threats and dead flowers arrive to Gigi she believes they are a prank initially. After the wedding she is attacked in her hotel room. It will be up to Michael to keep her alive, and at the same time convince her that love is real. When Michael is deployed and more attempts are made on Gigi’s life, it’s a comedy of errors for the bad guys but thankfully Gigi is only a little worse for wear. They keep in touch when Michael is deployed again, and further attempts on Gigi’s life are made. When he returns home it will be up to them to see if their love can outlast the threats against her life.
First, let me say I loved this book. Michael is a sweet but sexy and protective man that is determined to show Gigi how true love is not only possible but happening between them. He passes all of her tests (even those she’s not aware of giving) and keeps her safe in the process. One of the things I really liked about the book is that even though Michael appears to develop serious feelings for Gigi fairly quickly, that is not completely unrealistic in situations with military men. They know the fragility of life and are often deployed and are not unlikely to seize love the minute they find it. The story was sweet but hot when it needed to be. The sex was sizzling, and the overall arch of the story was captivating. This is a great read for fans of military erotica/romance. I gave this book an easy 5 stars for just a wonderful blend of good writing, great characters, and an awesome plot. The happily ever after did my heart good!

Ned is visiting a favorite BDSM club known as the Hampton Road Club in order to determine if he wishes to become a permanent member now that some new policies are in place. He also wishes to check on a submissive he introduced to the club at one point. What Ned finds is more than he bargained for. He meets Evan, a spirited if somewhat top from the bottom submissive that has been discarded by his previous Master for a young virginal submissive. Evan is in a predicament of his own, as he cannot return to the Master he had before that as he has also found a new submissive that he is committed to. Evan meets Ned and is dominated by him in one intense evening that ultimately leads to his heart-break as Ned doesn’t believe Evan is the one for him to settle down with initially because he is not a virgin. Will Ned come to his senses? If so will it be too late to win Evan as his permanent submissive?
I received an ARC of this novel for an honest review. I really enjoyed this novel! I have not read the first 3 books of the series but really enjoyed the supportive characters and was able to read this as a standalone and grasp the connections to previous stories. The writing was wonderful and I liked the original take on a historical 1920’s perspective especially for a M/M BDSM story. The use of terminology and brands familiar to that time was well done, there were no gaps or confusing pieces of the story, and I felt connected to the main and supporting characters. The empathy that everyone had for the submissives and their treatment was a palpable thing, which I also found refreshing. They were not objectified and instead were very well cared for. This is something that often is missing. The sex was exciting, well written, and not clichéd. If you are looking for an entertaining and engaging M/M BDSM book I would highly suggest this author!
When Heidi Corrigan went on a short vacation with her best friend Maggie to New Freedom, she certainly didn’t expect her lack of outdoor skills and her hatred of bees to land her in a predicament. Captured by the Fae and assumed to be a witch thanks to a drunken love spell casting, she is soon rescued by Liam McIntyre who is not just a sexy Irish man, but a dragon. They will undertake an adventure that spans dealing with her dysfunctional family, his enemies and politics, and their newfound love for one another.
The first thing I have to say is that while I love erotica and romance, this book read so well that it could easily have been a mainstream fantasy story! The world building was first class, the characters were either loveable or loath inducing. I loved the romance scenes and the heat was sizzling (dragon pun intended). Heidi and Liam are a great couple of reluctant lovers that find the ultimate mating experience in the end of this story. While it is a cliffhanger, it is a happily for now ending which I find awesome and doesn’t leave me with anxiety while waiting for the next book.
I give this book five stars for it’s very ambitious and successful attempt at mixing romance/erotica with fantasy and contemporary settings. I eagerly await the next book!
