Upon inheriting her Grandmother's home, Danielle realizes that in three months she has to get this beat-down house put together and ready to live. It's more than she can handle alone. She is going to need some strong muscles, preferably some experience and a little bit of luck on her side to pull it off. Enter all three in the form of her bestie's brother, Ryan. He is a carpenter, his longtime girlfriend just dumped him (how's that for luck?) and he is *psssssssst* sizzling hot! Who in the heck cares if he is eight years younger than her? Certainly not the two of them. Before you know it they are rebuilding the house by day and testing out all of the different counter tops, bath tubs, sleeping areas and more for rigorous strength and stamina, ahem, if you know what I mean. *snicker*
This story was not at all what I expected based solely on the cover. I thought it would be your basic Contemporary Romance. Ha! There is so much more to this story than anything average! Snark and fabulous wit abound. The various and sundry characters are too fun in this book. They each seem to have a complete story themselves just begging to be told so I'm praying for a series. I can see Chubbs with his cat and of course Maeve then there'd have to be one on Niall. Oh and don't forget Ms.Rancourt. I can see it now. I'd be laughing so hard I'd need Kleenex. And while this was a majorly hot and steamy book, somehow the snark tempered it just enough that it was perfect for me. I hope those that read it enjoy it as much or more than I did!
