Georgiana Regina Lucille Fletcher also known as Gigi, was a cynical romance author who wrote about love but did not believe in its actual existence. Michael Burnett comes home on leave to help his secret agent brother keep a VIP bride’s wedding from being a bust. With a terrible female role model in her mother it is no surprise that Gigi has very little faith in love. When her mother’s much younger (read: same age as Gigi) boyfriend runs off with a bridesmaid, a very handsome Michael distracts Gigi, allowing her family to force her to take the missing bridesmaid place. When threats and dead flowers arrive to Gigi she believes they are a prank initially. After the wedding she is attacked in her hotel room. It will be up to Michael to keep her alive, and at the same time convince her that love is real. When Michael is deployed and more attempts are made on Gigi’s life, it’s a comedy of errors for the bad guys but thankfully Gigi is only a little worse for wear. They keep in touch when Michael is deployed again, and further attempts on Gigi’s life are made. When he returns home it will be up to them to see if their love can outlast the threats against her life.
First, let me say I loved this book. Michael is a sweet but sexy and protective man that is determined to show Gigi how true love is not only possible but happening between them. He passes all of her tests (even those she’s not aware of giving) and keeps her safe in the process. One of the things I really liked about the book is that even though Michael appears to develop serious feelings for Gigi fairly quickly, that is not completely unrealistic in situations with military men. They know the fragility of life and are often deployed and are not unlikely to seize love the minute they find it. The story was sweet but hot when it needed to be. The sex was sizzling, and the overall arch of the story was captivating. This is a great read for fans of military erotica/romance. I gave this book an easy 5 stars for just a wonderful blend of good writing, great characters, and an awesome plot. The happily ever after did my heart good!

Violet is the Alpha Queen in hiding. Viper and Laden are tasked with protecting her and that is not an easy job with the deadly prophecy going around.
I was slightly lost on certain scenes, so reading the previous books would be fundamental. Violet was a great, sexy character. I loved that she wasn’t helpless but she knew when it was time to bring in the big, bad protectors. Viper and Laden were fantastic warriors. They complimented each other really nicely. There was a bit much going on with different realms, Draygons, Vhampires but that could be covered in the previous books which I did not read. So, not taking off stars for that. The fours stars was actually for the world building. I was so excited about different realms because fantasy is one of my favorite genres. I was disappointed that this other realm had such human expressions, cursing for example. There also wasn’t much description of that world which is a shame. It could have been really magical. I think the characters were really great and made this book a solid 4 star review.
Violet’s Protectors was an entertaining read.
