Birch and Zev have a complicated history that includes love and betrayal. They separated but never forgot about each other. When a medical center is blown up and Birch is the suspect, they are thrown back together. As the mystery unfolds, the romance has Birch and Zev risking their hearts as well as their lives.
I like Birch. She’s a tough chick that has learned through hard times how to survive. When she falls for Zev, I’m totally routing for them but, that romance is shattered and they separate tragically. When Zev tackles a suspect running from the hospital bombing and finds out it’s Birch, I was on the edge of my seat! There’s plenty of action and mystery. The science fiction is really well done. The romance is okay. I think more heat would have made Birch and Zev feel more intense as a couple. Some places in the story are almost as if they are over edited because scenes felt a little flat. This is a good story. I enjoyed it a lot and would recommend giving Birch’s Faith a try. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!
Zara is a wannabe painter who is struggling to make it financially. On the eve of her big breakthrough, fate takes a hand and a fire destroys her paintings. Her pride won’t allow her to borrow money from her friends or estranged family. She’s a living lookalike for a cartoon Princess Ravenna and takes a gig, dressed as the princess, to paint the children’s faces. The birthday girl’s father, Brendan, is a sexy surprise she isn't expecting.
I love this romance. The story flows wonderfully and, and for me, resonated. The story switches perspective between Zara and Brendan. The sex scenes are hot, but don’t overwhelm the romance. Without the sex, it would make a first-rate made for TV movie,—in my opinion a compliment. Brendan becomes Zara’s muse, and her paintings rise to the occasion and become sensual. Every good romance requires a few bumps in the road to true love. The Reluctant Princess has them all…overbearing parents…an interfering/jealous ex,…a spirited young girl and more. The story has well developed believable characters and a happy-for-now ending.
The Reluctant Princess is a story you’ll want to read again and again.

Sebastian is dealing with his mom’s death, being broke and now a rock star that gets him interested in the mile-high club. Ethan is tired. Tired of his music career, tired of fans, tired of the drama. Can a chance meeting make them both find a happy future?
Poor Sebastian. Poor Ethan. This story is about two unhappy guys finding each other. There’s an instant and fantastic chemistry as soon as they meet but the sex happened way too fast! Then it jumps to three months later where Ethan is miserable without Sebastian. They meet again at a concert and Ethan is ready to start something real. This is a very sweet scene that did have me swooning. This story is very rushed though. I wish the author had fleshed the story out to really give us some depth. At 51 pages it needed more meat but there is so much promise in this story that I had to give it four stars.
If you like romance that revolves around music, you’re going to love The Flight!
Sawyer and her sister left their drug addicted parents behind. She opens up a tattoo shop and it looks like things are going to improve until a blast from her past shows up. Jagger is sex on legs and a major danger to Sawyer’s heart. With tragedy and her ex, will she ever find that elusive happy ending?
The point of view was confusing. The blurb is in first person but the book was in third. Thankfully, third person is my favorite to read. This didn’t detract from the story but if anyone is expecting first this is just a heads up. That said, this is a fantastic story! Sawyer is a badass and I love me some tough heroines. I like that the past with Jagger is so heavy but also that she can’t help but let him back in her heart. The romance is too quick for me despite their past. I also wish there was some action in there. The sex is really great and the chemistry is perfect.
If you like a book all about the romance then Chasing Butterflies will be perfect for you!
