Harry Potter meets the m/m romance genre.
Tristan is an unlicensed magician investigating a series of suspicious suicides. Jarek is an incubus with secrets and a serious attraction to Tristan. As magic unfolds around them, can they find love in each other’s arms?
This has so much freaking potential! Wonderful, unique plot and amazing characters. I love Tristan, he is so lost and down. I want to hug him tight. Jarek is a sexy incubus that is drawn to Tristan. I like them together. Their romance is too quick though, maybe that had something to do with the length of the book. I really wish the story is longer so we can really explore the magical world and hot characters. I want to read more in this series but only if the story is more fleshed out/longer.

Ward has a beautiful little girl who just happens to be a werewolf. She’s taken, ripped from his arms and delivered to a werewolf pack. Which pack? Ward will stop at nothing to get her back. Then he finds her and her new pack alpha, Henry. The fight is on. Ward may be no match for a vicious werewolf but he’d give his life to get his little girl back.
Wow! Finally, finally!!! A shifter book that sounds unique. I love shifters but there are so many of the same stories out there that I’ve been skipping a lot of them. Then, I read the blurb for Off the Beaten Path and I scoop this book up as fast as I can. Instantly, I love Ward. He is a good father that loves his kid and will go through extreme lengths to get her back. When he finally finds her, I wanted to squeal I was so excited. And then comes Henry who isn’t the nasty alpha that is expected. I like his personality and the way he handles both Ava and Ward. The romance is beautiful. The plot is unique.
Why, you’re probably asking yourself, only give this book 3 stars if you love it so much? THE POINT OF VIEW! Tell me it isn’t so? Yeah, yeah, it is. The author wrote both main characters in first point of view. So confusing and downright frustrating. It kept throwing me right out of the story. If this had been done in third person it would have been absolute a 5 star review, maybe even a reread for me. As is, it’s a three star rating but I will definitely be checking out more books from this author.

To escape the summer heat, swingers Brett and Jen go to Minnesota's clothing optional RV resort, where the rules are very different from the swing lifestyle venues they’re used to. They spot a hot looking couple in the swimming pool, they are most definitely interested, but they know better than to make the first move. Will Paul and Kim turn out to be players, or will Brett and Jen get a cold shoulder?
Brett and Jen have an unbreakable bond; they lead an interesting, alternative lifestyle. These two venture to a RV Resort where clothing is optional. This intrigues them, especially since the meet Paul and Kim, who they want to, have fun with. The story has potential. I liked that Brett and Jen are so confident in their relationship to be swingers. Their romance is sexy and fun. I did give this a rating of a three because it was so short and I felt like the story needed more development!

Title: Summer Cabin

FBI agent Madison Bergman returns to an Arizona First Nations reserve in hopes of inheriting her late uncle's summer cabin where she spent most of her childhood. She reunites with long lost lover Lucas Bloodfeather, now the sheriff of the small Arizona community but finds the reservation residents still unwilling to accept a white woman as one of their own nor allow her ownership of the property. Can Maddie ever really come home again?
I was drawn to this story for its unique premise. We don't often see a native american hero or see the heroine as the outcast, trying to fit in with a marginalized group. Some interesting backstory in how Maddie came to have a native american "uncle", and that her decision to join the FBI led to his untimely death. However, the short length of this book made it impossible to explore those story elements further. A shame, because they would have made for much more intriguing reading.
If a quick (really quick) deck-chair read is what you're after, this is just the kind of book you love to find on a shelf of your own summer rental cabin. Enjoy!
Lucy is an orphan in the wild west and when she meets Gerald the world she knows spins wildly out of control. And she likes it. Gerald is all male, all tough and hard edges unless he’s with Lucy. Can Lucy be the Villain’s woman or is all just too much for her to handle?
I haven’t read a western romance in a while and this is a great story! I like Gerald, he has that hard exterior but when he’s with Lucy it’s like a whole new side of him. I find him totally hot and intriguing. Lucy is young and slightly naive, definitely innocent but she isn’t a coward. She fights for her man and that makes me love her even more. The romance is sweet rather than sexy but I enjoyed it. In only 42 pages, the author told a beautiful tale.
Jolene is a long-haul trucker and genius mechanic. She’s more of a one-night stand woman and she’s happy with that until she meets Jarred. Can she lower her defenses long enough for Jarred to show her how happy they can be?
“When a collision can’t be avoided it’s best to control the crash.” I love that quote. Jolene is an instant like for me. Not that I know much about mechanics or trucks or even my car but her personality really worked. She’s tough and protects her heart from any pain. Jarred, oh Jarred. He’s a sexy charmer that one. Their romance is too quick for my taste. I would have liked a bigger build up. The sex is…odd. The terminology threw me right out of the story: Labia lips, gripping his circumference, her welcoming nectar, those are some examples. While the sex/romance didn’t work for me, the plot is frisky, well-paced and interesting. Diesel Angel is a good read!
Evangeline Prewitt has had better days. Her rent has increased and now she has to pay for car repairs. She asks her boss for help with her financial situation. His solution? Enter The Vampire Games. Evie has her doubts about being sold off to the highest bidder.—Who would want a plump waitress? However, desperate times call for drastic measures. Besides, it’s only sex. What can possibly go wrong? Atlan St. James seeks out The Games for a little distraction. This three-hundred-year-old vampire is drawn to the delicious human. Evie will be his, at least for the night. What neither of them counts on is the instant connection between them. After all, sex is easy. Emotions are far more difficult to negotiate. As far as Atlan is concerned, the only solution is to let his precious angel go. Evie, however, will not let go that easy! The game is on.
From the start Evie’s character draws you in. She has fallen on hard times and we've all been there. She doesn’t expect a three hundred year old vampire to buy her for the night though. Atlan, is confident with himself, and knows what he wants. I really enjoyed this story. Evie's twist of fate really is incredible and then bring in Atlan who is a vampire. That makes it more interesting and thrilling especially when his past life is revealed and what he has been through. I feel like Atlan has waited his whole existence for Evie.
These two and their story are perfection. I look forward to the next book in this series!

Anna isn’t sure why her father, a scientist, is keeping four boys locked up in the basement or why the government visits periodically. She’s grown to know these boys and wants to help them but she isn’t sure why they’re locked up in the first place. No one will tell her the truth but then the truth she knows isn’t real either. Sam, Cas, Nick and Trev escape, taking Anna with them. Soon they’re all running from a government experiment that has wiped their memories in the past. What happens if they’re caught? And can they trust the memories or are they all planted?
Wow, this book is freaking amazing! All the characters are complex and I found myself really loving each of them. From Nick’s attitude to Anna’s curiosity. This story unfolds with secrets upon lies. I truly found myself on the edge of my seat reading Altered. Who’s telling the truth? Damn it Sam, just kiss her already! Can you really trust that character? This is, apparently, the first book from this author and I am blown away. I’ve already ordered the next book, Erased. I have to find out what happens.

Look at the gorgeous cover! I had to take a second to appreciate that.
Okay, the book. Coy returns home to find his grandmother murdered, his brother missing and then he’s thrown in jail for being a shifter. Coy cellmate is none other than August, the man who supposedly killed Coy’s grandmother. They must survive each other, secret shifters and a scary breeding program.
What a ride this book is! From the very beginning the story and characters grabbed me. I love Coy, absolutely love him! He’s just trying to improve his family’s life and everything goes to hell. August is about as sexy as they come. I love the push and pull between these two. They go through a wild journey and end up having intense feelings for each other. The world building is beautifully brilliant. I really can’t say enough good about this book. I’m so excited this is a series!
