Ward and Dean have been friends since they were kids but soon Dean’s brothers Ash shows up and things get complicated. Ash likes Ward. Dean thinks they’re both straight. There’s a reality show filming and Dean gives Ward the ultimate decision to make.
I loved the banter between ward and Dean. Instantly it felt like they had a long history, one with laughs and bumps along the way. Once Ash gets there though things start to change. Ash is so hard to figure out. His scenes fly by and I really didn’t feel a connection with him. I like where Ward and Ash are going but it happens so fast. The Wrench Wars TV series which is a major point in the series but it is just sort of glossed over. I really wish the author added more about that. Dean eventually shows his true colors but I am still hung up on Ward and Ash. They fell so forced and pushed together. Some of the mechanics from the previous series make an appearance and that is a great surprise.
Overall, Making Waves is an interesting addition to the series.
This is the second book in the Wrench Wars series. I really liked the first book (review here), so I snatched up Normal Enough. I’ve read this author before and loved her other book, so I am excited about a great series paired with a great author. This is about Kasey and his unusual fetish. He meets Brandon and the sparks fly.
Kasey likes being in the background, especially during the filming of Wrench Wars. I instantly fell for him and can relate to his personality. He is so cute when he’s in the car trying to hide how much the car turns him on. Yes, that’s right and as odd as it sounds here, the way the author explains it actually seems pretty legit. Nothing too weird just something that made him harder than normal. Brandon is a bit tougher to understand. He is so quick to hit on Kasey, without knowing the guy he offered his car for sex. Now that is creepy. But I did like Kasey’s response, that is more realistic. And after some more time they finally have a facetime moment that blew me away. It is so damn hot! I need an ice cold shower or my husband. Right. Now. After that the story is just freaking amazing. I love the budding romance between Kasey and Brandon. It is sweet and perfect. There really isn’t much in this book about the TV series being filmed other than Kasey trying to avoid it. Also the story is actually 66 pages, the rest is an excerpt for the next book so that was a bit disappointing. But overall, I really like this book. It’s another great addition to the Wrench Wars series.
Normal Enough is another great read in the Wrench Wars Series. You shouldn’t pass this series up!
Daniel came out to his parents in college. It is not pretty. He has to choose between his parents and his boyfriend, Chase. He picks Chase. This book takes place fifteen years after that decision. Daniel and his parents are finally starting to reconnect and pick with the pieces. Weeks before seeing each other for the first time in years, his parents are killed in a car crash. Now he has to clean out his parents house. While dealing with memories, surprises and Chase's possible cheating ways, Daniels starts to fall for the neighbor helping him. Amid all this is a mysterious cookbook.
Get ready for the exclamation points...
Oh my God! I am in love with this book! This is a rollercoaster of emotions, from tears to anger to sexy. I love Daniel. His struggles felt real and the turmoil of all that happens is heart wrenching. Landon is sexy and patient, everything Daniel needs. He's an artist, hairy, burly, basically a hunk of a man. There are gorgeous together! I did not read this story, I absorbed it, I sunk into it. There are twists and turns that make the book hard to put down. Please don't skip this book! It's absolutely, one hundred percent worth purchasing and reading.
