We’re visiting the crew of The Prayer as they become acquainted with their new home planet. As the crew’s pasts are revealed and mystery arises, there’s always sex to be had.
I fell in love with this crew over the past four books. They each have their own personality and distinction. The rejuvenation pill issue is a great plot idea. The sci fi aspect is fun but I’m not a fan of the ghosts and jumping into past memories. I found it very paranormal rather than sci fi. The baby cloning thing is interesting but again, not something that I think makes sense exploring. Maybe because the men are so openly sexual rather than in established relationships? Would one person watch the baby while the others go have orgies? Who decides which person stays? There are many questions that just make the cloned baby thing an odd choice for the story progression. The romance is certainly hot but a bit stale. All these guys going at it book after book. Don’t get the wrong idea, I love the previous books and I highly recommend them!
The lost crew of The Prayer have settled down on a planet but a distress call from a nearby world may put them in danger.
If you haven’t read the previous books in this serious, I highly recommend them. It’s where we’re introduced to the crew of The Prayer and their sexy ways. They’ve been among the stars for a while now and in this book they settle down. The characters are just as on point and loveable as ever. I really like the action in this book too. There’s some BDSM and funny one liners. The great twists (So good!) and an overall sense of adventure is something that I really enjoyed. Couple that with the man on man love and this story has it all.
The Captain’s Promise is a must read!
The Captain and crew of the Prayer is still lost in space. In this book, they find a planet that may be suitable for some time off ship and a little privacy. However, soon the captain finds himself kidnapped by a very sexy alien.
Have I ever mentioned that I love sci fi? Add in some hot guys and steamy sex, I’m sold! This book absolutely sold me. I enjoyed the characters from the first book and they are the same sexy men that join us in this book. There seems to be more plot and less sex. But don’t get me wrong, there is a lot of sex and really freaking hot sex, but it’s balanced really well with our space adventure or rather our ‘stuck on an alien planet’ adventure. The captain is still my favorite but I have to say in this book Rick really grew on me. There are a lot more connections between the men that seem to be growing and I find that’s the mark of a great series. Rux is also an interesting, shape shifting new character. I’m curious as to where that’ll go. I’ve already read the next book in the series (Yes, out of order) so now I have to get my greedy, greedy hands on book four, the Captain’s Promise.
The Prayer is a spaceship lost in the vast blackness of space. The crew is just as dark and moody with lack of progress finding home. There’s also the fact, as stated in the blurb, that none of them are getting any. What’s going to happen to the crew?
After reading the blurb I thought there’d be a lot of sexiness and a lot of plot. It was more eighty percent fantastic sci fi plot, ten percent romance and ten percent sex. I hoped there would be more of the dirty, naked space sex. Don’t get me wrong, the plot is still definitely worth reading. Each character has their own personality and I find it very interesting to see how the story unfolded with them. The details make for a good view of the world the author creates. Overall, I think this is a successful book and I’m glad I went back to start the series from the beginning. I have to say, the captain, is probably my favorite. He’s got a good, Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly, thing going on that has me swooning.
The Captain’s Men is a highly recommended read for those who love sci fi romance!
After an unexpected malfunction, the crew must search a deserted city to find the parts they need to repair the ship but things are rarely that easy…
I did not read the previous books in this series so sometimes I was a little lost. I did, however, quickly get over that fact once I got into the book. There are some great characters (although a lot of them to keep track of) and a great plot. I enjoy sci fi romance and this is one book I knew I couldn’t pass up. There are some funny moments and the action is great! The sex is very hot, it always is when there’s more than two people. Overall, I enjoyed the story and I’ll be looking forward to the next book.
The Captain’s Calamity is a highly recommended read!
