As Stan protects Shelly the heat between them grows until their about ready to combust and trust me, you’ll be hot right along with them. Although Stan’s family is nice they seem unbelievable. They accept her too quickly and I really wish there had been some tension in there to make it more realistic. Maybe one of them is upset by the danger Stan is in or something. I really love how the mystery plays out. I had my suspicions but the journey to get there is fabulous! The bad guy isn’t really competent. He kidnaps her, doesn’t tie her up, doesn’t lock doors or windows. It makes him feel very cardboard. Still, Shelly grew and toughened up as she tries to survive and that gives her a whole new side that I love. The ending is satisfying and feel good.
If you love romantic suspense than I highly recommend Loving a Hero.
