After losing his brother to suicide, Jeremy is lost. No one understands him or his Goth appearance. To get away, and hopefully, fit in, he joins his favorite band Stygian. However, the band is falling apart so they book a few months in this old house to find inspiration. The owner, Hunter, has secrets of his own. The band is thrown into a strange world and I’ll go ahead and say the magic word...vampires. As the band members are on the verge of beating one another, a sick game is playing out around them. Who will survive? Who will succumb?
I love, love, love this book! The writing, the characters, the plot, all fabulous. Jeremy can’t get a break, everyone’s treating him differently and I want to scoop him up for a hug. I really like how deep each characters is. All the band members and Hunter has well thought out personalities. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat. Kennedy and Jeremy finally get together, which is what I waited excitedly for, and that’s my only reason for not giving this book 5 stars. The sex is rushed and brushed over. It is so quick, it is over before I could really get into it. I did love the mystery around Hunter and this big mansion. Information is trickled at the perfect spots to keep me totally invested in the story. When truths are revealed it’s a rush of adrenaline and excitement.
Stygian is a fantastic vampire story that shouldn’t be missed!
