Nora Roberts has a way with words. She has this skill at weaving a story so tightly that you're sucked in before you even felt the first pull. Rowan jumps from a plane, lands in a 'safe zone' and fights massive fires. Gulliver is the rookie that keeps hitting on her. Together they start a romantic dance but a danger lurks in the shadows...
Despite the head hopping (Why, Nora, why?!), this was a great story. I've never read a book about fire jumpers. It was fantastic and scary. The family unit the jumpers form is endearing and wonderfully portrayed. Although the killer is easy to deduce, I had fun watching the characters figure it out. This book kept me reading long hours into the night. I fit in a chapter wherever I could. The only reason it did not get five stars is that dreaded head hopping.
Chasing Fire is highly recommended!
Tiffany Brooks is somewhat addicted to poor choices in life and even poorer choices in men. She has turned a new life since her last long term mistake and refuses to fall for the man she had a one night anonymous hookup with at a halloween party a few years before. The only problem is the attraction has only grown since then and she finds herself losing a battle to his charm, his caring heart, and his command of her senses as well as her body. Declan Cage is a bad boy with a good heart. He rescues Tiffany from a potentially dangerous date and from then is hooked on being more than just a fling for her. He pulls out all the stops and wages a battle for her heart and body. With some speed bumps along the way, it will be up to the two of them to decide if love is worth the risk?
First off, I loved this story. The hot love scenes were amazing and completely worth the wait. I was impressed with the development of the characters, their pasts, and their current situations. Both of the main characters were flawed in normal ways from their life experiences and nothing in this book was completely out of the realm of possibility. Ms. Saint James obviously did research and that always makes the story more attractive to me. 5 stars for an overall awesome sexy angsty romp with a HEA ending!! I can’t wait to read the sequel about Declan’s sexy brother!
Ms. London Saint James is giving away an Ecopy of her book. The TBR Pile is giving away an Ebook from our prize list. TO ENTER: Comment below on why you want to read Spanked by the Bad Boy!
Corey made a mistake at the office by pursuing a co-worker. Okay, the co-worker already had a boyfriend and it was more like stalking than pursuing. Corey has paid for that mistake everyday at the office since by the office gossips. Remington Yates is a lawyer, sent by his boss to Corey’s office for his next case. He’s a player, or at least he always has been before being doused in cold coffee by Corey.
Cute, sweet yet hot little story of an old fashioned wooing, I loved it. Loved the vulnerability that Corey showed. He has such a lack of self confidence from listening to all of office maliciousness. I loved how the Liza showed through old fashioned love letter Remy’s growth as a person and his realization that he needed to not only show Corey how he felt but to tell him as well. This is a fun, feel good story that you need to read.
Sofia is an event planner. She and Cade Donovan meet at the wedding of Lara and Conner. Cade is a cowboy working on the ranch. He has a celebration to throw, so who better than Sofia to help him plan it. Could they both be what the other needs?
There is a lot of push and shove back and forth between these two. It’s fun to watch. When it comes to BDSM book, there are a handful of authors that I read because they do them so well. Sierra is one of them. Her stories are always complete. She gives you a well written story with the relationship between the main characters as the focus. Her characters are so well rounded. And can she write smoking hot sex! Read it in one sitting, couldn’t put it down. Now I can’t wait for the next in this series.
Note: This is book two in the series; it can be read as a stand alone in my opinion, but works best when read in order.
My favorite line from the book is, “What was worse than wanting a man that you can’t have? Wanting his best friend as well, that’s what. Double the torture, double the sexual frustration…”. That basically sums up how this novella starts out. Ellie is a top chef working alongside her friends Jack and Nate, the owners of L’Etoile and the soon to open restaurant La Luna. Not only are they great chefs themselves but they are two yummy men. Ellie thinks her feelings for them are mutual but knows that work relationships, especially with your boss, are a really bad idea. If they don’t work out, you’re the one who has to leave and she loves her job way too much for that. Little does she know that Jack and Nick have indeed mutual feelings. In fact, as they have participated in a ménage previously, that is what they desire to have with her but worry about how she might receive such an invitation. When they finally ask her, she agrees and ooh baby! That restaurant has never served it up so spicy! The question is, can it last?
I loved reading this. Ms. Black did a great job describing things in short order whether it was Jack’s body, the threesome’s friendship or their hot, kinky sex. She gave Ellie, Jack and Nate a distinct personality and they were all people I would like. I loved Ellie’s connections to food and her Grandmother. Jack’s just the right amount of rough around the edges and bossy for me. Nate was the organized, more cerebral one with hair to run my fingers through. I also appreciated that the heroine didn’t just decide automatically that becoming a threesome would be okay. She used her brain and not just her body even though that’s what her body wanted. I found this to be really well written and would recommend it easily.
The war on mars is about to reach its climax. The Outlaw MC have President Wexmen on the run. Meanwhile, Valentine escapes the prison on earth and finds his way to mars. There he meets Grim. Mysterious, sexy, quiet, odd, Grim. I want him so bad. It doesn’t hurt that the author compared Grim to Alexander Skarsgard in looks. Yummy. So while this war is going in, Valentine has to deal with his issues of trust and crowds after being in prison so long. But Grim has a huge secret that even I didn’t see coming.
James Cox is a very talented writer. Sure, he writes fabulous sex but he also gives us an intricate plot. There’s also hover bikes (So cool!), tons of action, gun fights, bike chases, sex on a bike, oh and yeah, they’re on mars! Did I mention there's a foursome at the end that is...insanely sexy. Off the charts, sexy! I’ve been bored with biker books because they’re all the same. This, ladies and gentleman, is a unique series. You have to read this book! This series! And bring ice water...maybe some tissues for the guys. Yup, it’s that hot.
A Few Bad Men is a wild, romping space adventure with inked bikers!
Mr. Cox is giving away 2 Ecopies of the first book in the Outlaw MC series, Chaos Unchained. To enter: Comment below why you love sexy bikers?

Huyana has a plan, but falling in love with Matthew Duggan was not in it. She has had a tough life starting at her conception. When she happens to meet Matthew and his family her life seems to head in a good direction for once. However she has had lots of letdowns and rejections through her life. She will have to learn to trust Matthew and open her heart and secrets if she wants things to work between them.
The story was ok. From the beginning it was slow going. I felt that some things could have been left out since it tended to drag things out and made it boring at times. Eventually the story picks up. I did like how the story was different from most historical romances. Huyana had a lot of secrets and surprises, which did make the story more appealing. The connection between Matthew and Huyana was nice but I felt there could have been more passion.
Mr. Heath is a London solicitor he has sworn to protect the secrets of the lords and ladies of the town. Little does everyone know that Mr. Heath has kept a secret for over 40 years one that was not his doing but must keep. Now his secret might destroy his only chance at happiness and true love.
From the start I was really into Mr. Heath. Then with a flip of the page what I had already thought about the story completely left me in total shock. Not only did Mr. Heath fool the London and it’s society I too was fooled. Then the story unfolded at how Mr. Heath and his lie became and my heart broke for him. Then when he finally finds true love he is backed into a corner for so many reasons. This story had a lot of intrigue and that's something different that sets it apart from other historical stories. I’m giving this a 4 because I wish it were a little longer and the relationship between Mr. Heath and his love could develop a little more.
For all his talent, success and flamboyant personality, classical pianist turned rock star Leo Hamil can't forget the love of his life, virtuoso violinist Andre Revele. They met while attending a world-class music institute, but after a short yet intense romance Leo leaves Andre behind to pursue his rock n roll fortune. He's always regretted the cowardly way he broke things off, but is forced to confront his feelings when a chance meeting in Vienna ten years later rekindles their flame. Can Andre learn to trust the man who abandoned him all those years ago, or will Leo's rock star fame overshadow any chance of their reuniting?
Throughout the story I almost completely forgot that Leo and Andre were guys, I was so swept up in their romance and feelings for each other and for their craft. Viki Lyn gets it right in describing the world of the artist, the hours dedicated to practicing and perfection, the drive to create and the thrill of performance.
I certainly got an education into MM relations reading this story and I soon learned why the character names were repeated in almost every sentence. You'd have trouble figuring out who was doing what to whom otherwise! Overall, a sweet and touching song of love that makes a repeat and takes the Coda to a rapturous finé, composed not just for music lovers but lovers of all genders!
