This was a nice, short interracial romance (black woman/white man) set in the late 70's. I enjoyed Ms. Fowler's setting as it's quite different than the world we know today where (theoretically) the races have mixed and we're all hunky dory. I liked Candi's nightclub and how she made something of her life. Hated Jeff's little sister, but I also unfortunately understand why she did what she did.
So, Candi and Jeff are good together. Hot sex, and of course they need to have a conversation about what split them up all those years ago. This wasn't a complicated plot, but the author carried it out well. Candi and Jeff definitely were good for each other once they healed old wounds.
Check it out and revel in the feeling of discos and booty shaking. Thanks to the publisher for sending this to review!
