Marq and Armise have a history, bloody and violent but will that change in the future?
This world is creative and unique. I’m a dystopian addict, I really am and this book was an interesting twist. We meet Marq and he meets Armise. They have this dangerous push and pull as the years go by. Among the violence is a forbidden kiss. I loved it and every time they meet it’s more touching and eventually lots of it. It is fantastic the way the author pulls them together. They are enemies but also in a war with growing feelings between them. Then it’s just two horny assassins rutting against each other as they hide from a third enemy. It. Is. Fantastic! And then they meet again and one of them, not saying who, is tasked with killing the other. Like I said, fabulous push and pull between these two. The characters are great but the plot is a bit lacking. The pace is unbalance, certain scenes rushed and others drawn out. The world building doesn’t have much depth. And the last twenty pages the point of view switches. It’s abrupt and off putting.
One Breath, One Bullet is an interesting start to a new series.
