Wes is a producer on Wrench Wars and he’s always had a thing for mechanic Reggie. Wes has some kind of contract issue that the higher ups want to pull over Reggie. Anyway, it leads to Reggie doing a spin off show where he has to find a girl to marry. You see the problem there? He’s gay…
I love Wes, he’s stuck in this horrible place with his bosses and Reggie is equally as fabulous. They both have to deal with slimy executives and contracts. Their romance is beautiful. I really love how it all plays out. Both men want each other so much and everything falls down around them. There are some great one liners and serious sexual tension. I love this book so hard, I couldn’t stop reading! This is another fantastic story in the Wrench Wars Series. You get romance, some twists, some laughs, some sexy mechanic talk. Perfect! And orgasmic should definitely be in the blurb somewhere here. Wow! I have got to read more books from this author. (My only complaint and I’m not taking off stars for this because I loved the books so much, is that the last 11 pages of this book is an excerpt of the next story in the series. I have to say excerpts are usually much shorter and when it’s this long it takes away from the original story. However, this book is fantastic so I think it’s totally worth picking up a copy.)
Wrenches, Regrets and Reality Checks is an absolute must read for m/m readers! The author does an amazing job creating realistic characters in a wonderfully detailed setting. Read this!
Mark’s dad owns the mechanic shop. Chandler is that man he’s been sleeping with. Also working at the mechanic shop. And now they’re going to on Wrench Wars with camera’s all over the damn place. Oh, and Mark’s father hates Chandler and doesn’t know they’re together. Things are going to get interesting…
Mark and Chandler are in an established relationship at the beginning of the book. Although, it doesn’t feel like it. They seem more like they’ve been on a date or two rather than months with each other. As the story goes on, this does change and I really fall for them. Despite that little hiccup, I love this book! With a book market saturated with the same stories this one is unique. I’ve never read anything like it. The sex scenes are good. They’re too rushed to really get into them. They are really romantic though. Going through blackmail and finally coming out is beautifully written! Those damn producers are jerks and it makes the story feel more realistic.
Last Mechanic Standing is my first foray into the Wrench Wars and certainly not my last. This book is highly recommended!
