Xenia is dogging her Uncle’s crazy attempts to kill her and avoiding a one-way trip to the overlord but she never planned on falling for the sexy Quinn. Can they survive long enough to have a future together?
Xenia isn’t weak and she isn’t stupid. But she does get captured by Quinn’s charm. Quinn her captor/savior and all around sexy guy is falling for her. It’s a great battle of wills and lust. I enjoyed their chemistry. Xenia’s fire and attitude, I loved. The banter is seriously entertaining and the action is intense. Honestly, the more pages I read the more I am swept into the author’s scifi world. Even Clio, the creature that could eat a human whole, is a cute/scary character. I have to say I’ve read several books in the series but Crossing Quinn is by far my favorite!
Must read! Must read! Must read!
If you're looking for something short but packed with sexy, this is the book for you.
Reese planned something special and sexy for his wife’s 30th birthday. He decided to fulfill some of her deepest fantasies. Pushing her limits! Punishing and rewarding her when she is a bad and good girl. Enacting public and private surprises with more than just himself. Judi is in for one wild birthday!
This story is fantastic. Reese wants to make Judi’s 30th birthday, a birthday she soon won’t forget. He plans to bring her to the edge and back, again and again, until they are home so they can unleash their passion. Even though their relationship has already been established, I found the story just as fulfilling as if they were starting out. Their emotions play off each other and their past is easy to follow! The love and devotion that Reese and Judi have for one another is clearly shown with their actions throughout the story. Reese plans out every detail and fantasy she has very carefully. Each page was most definitely a surprise and so thrilling with what awaited Judi.
Short. Sexy. Smoking hot!
A busted radiator strands Lyndi Garrison on a deserted road and shoves her directly into the path of a sexual predator. She fends off her attacker until a stranger appears from nowhere to help. She's instantly attracted to him and before the evening ends, they share a devastating kiss and a knock-out round of sex unlike anything she's ever known. Can these two make it work?
Seth fell for another angel eons ago, and was cast down from the Heavens. Seeking redemption, he works for the Angels of Death, taking lives of those destined to die. All he wants is to return home and get his wings back! Everything changes when a beautiful brunette pops into his life and turns his ordered world up-side down, tempting him with something he hasn't experienced in forever. Love.
I really enjoyed this story about angels & demons. Seth is still sweet and good despite being a fallen angel. He just fell for the wrong girl/demon. Seth is just a genuine man who wants to do good in the world! Lyndi, has fallen on hard times as well. After losing her child, she has a lot to overcome and she starts on her path to recovery. Meeting Seth has brought out feelings she never thought she would have again. I love her personality and that of her family. These two make each other complete! I love the connection they have and where their story goes. The whole good versus evil makes everything that much more thrilling.
Tempted is a thrilling tale of an angel and human finding love again to heal one another!
Tihar has come to earth for a female and the moment he spots Sarah, he knows she’s the one. Sarah is a bit more hesitant. Tihar is an Askole warrior with scales and tentacles. Their feisty romance is interrupted when rebels attack. Will there be a future for Sarah and Tihar?
Being a Jones female means Sarah has psychic abilities and a fearless attitude. I instantly liked her. She’s in a bad situation but doesn’t take the whole mating thing easy. Tihar is an alpha male, warrior and oh yeah, he has tentacles for hair. That is a bit freaky but I actually like it. An alien in a sci book that actually looks like an alien, that’s refreshing. Together they make an explosive couple, complete with action and humor. Several times I found myself laughing out loud and on the edge of my seat. I haven’t followed the series religiously but I had no problem following this plot so I think this would be a great stand-alone read if it’s your first time reading this author.
Game on Askole is a highly recommended read!
Title: Crystal Coast Craving
Author: Sierra Brave
Genres: Romance, Contemporary, Military
TBR Reviewer: Amy
Rating: 3 Stars - A Good Read
Heat: 3/5 - Blush Worthy!
Caroline is a school teacher in her late twenties still living under her overprotective, Southern Belle mother’s watchful eye. She longs for adventure and romance and is excited to head down to the Crystal Coast to spend summer break as a waitress at her aunt’s bar and grill with her best buddy, Ryan. Jake is a soldier with a secret keeping him up at night. He’s biding his time, working at the Military Ocean Terminal near Crystal Coast Beach, finishing the last few months of his hitch while finishing his college degree online. When Caroline waits on Jake and his friends, Jake and Caroline are immediately drawn to each other. They both want each other, but it might take more than a little convincing to get a good southern girl like Caroline in the right frame of mind for a summer fling. Not to worry--Jake has an idea: a spanking.
The story has a lot of promise. Caroline is discovering herself while away from her mother and her overbearing ways. Jake has issues he’s trying to deal with. When they meet, they seem to click instantly. A misunderstanding causes problems between the two that is believable. I like their instant attraction and connection. Both of them have way different lifestyles, but they are perfect together. I give this story 3 stars because, I did feel that the ending is rushed. The characters story left me wanting more from them and where they were headed in their new relationship.
Nico Grabar, is in charge of the most ruthless cartels in the world. He has a cover to maintain and a promise to fulfill. Too bad he’s bleeding to death in the middle of nowhere. A fitting ending to a bleak existence. A beautiful bride, dressed in a thrift-store wedding gown rescues him. Who finds a drug lord in serious need of resuscitation while coming back from a party? Paige, the Goth waitress at Rosita’s and a magnet for psychopaths, of course. Paige has already survived one major asshole. The last thing she needs is to have to play Florence Nightingale to a dangerous kingpin.
I really enjoyed the story. From the start the author draws you in with a suspenseful start. When Paige finds Nico bleeding in a car, she immediately jumps into action. Their attraction has been there from the moment they met. Their teasing banter with each makes the story a hit for me. Paige is great given her past and her OCD. I feel her background makes the story more interesting and the fact that Nico supports her through her rough times makes him such a good man. Hard Limits is a great story!
No dope is no joke.
For a star of the Columbia Gems baseball franchise, sustaining a cruel and deliberate injury on the field isn't the worst thing that can happen. Being accused of steroid use puts a permanent seal of death on Tag Gentry's bright career. Chef "Skye" Schuyler is hired to prepare Tag's meals during his recovery, but didn't plan on falling for the man as hard as she did in the process. When Tag's jealous ex-lover pulls a vindictive stunt that implicates them both in the steroid scandal, Skye's budding catering business is literally blown to bits by the resulting public outcry. The womanizing Tag has fallen just as hard for her, but can he convince Skye, or even himself? Her fiercely independent nature and sense of betrayal won't allow her to feel the way she once did for him, and it will take more than his money and his lame proposals to change her mind or rebuild her trust.
I was attracted to this book because of its sport theme, but because it is the last in a series, much of the sport side of the story seemed to have already happened in previous instalments. Mask of the Queen (a title that makes no sense at all to me) does sketch out enough of the past events for it to stand on its own, but the motivations and backstory of the characters seems to have lost a little lustre by the time this part of the story takes place. The characters are now dealing with the aftermath of these events and how they resolve their issues both on and off the baseball field.
Despite these few shortcomings, the writing style is entertaining and kept me reading until the end.
Abandoned at the age of five, Kyrie is the last of the Ouri race living on the planet Sirene. She occupies a lonely but exalted position as the Mistress of Justice owing to her Ourian seer's gifts, but there is no-one left of her own people to live with or to love. Overcome with fatigue and loneliness, it is discovered that her Ourian physiology requires a mate in order to survive. When a lone Ouri male is captured and brought to Kyrie's court, she is desperate to learn of her people and their fate, and requests that he be given to her as mate.
Proteus is on a mission; to retrieve the five year old heir to the Ourian throne accidentally left behind in their hurried escape. But no such person exists on Sirene, and he must rely on Kyrie to help solve the puzzle while bringing her back to health with a generous dose of sexual healing!
As Kyrie and Proteus grow closer, an astonishing truth is revealed about the remaining inhabitants of Sirene that explains not only why her people vanished, but also the devious machinations of both races to regain power over the planet. To save all the people of Sirene and bring peace to her world, the cost may be not only Kyrie's life, but the love of her life as well.
Kyrie is a strong female character who holds a position of authority despite her ingenuous, sheltered upbringing. Proteus' amused assessment of her condition and subsequent 'treatment' is both touchingly funny and wildly erotic at the same time. (psst; plenty of men could take some pointers from him!) Kyrie's 'boss' Galen Andronicus is also wonderfully detailed--essentially the villain of the story but one who finds redemption in the end. (Yay!) Although the pace lags in some spots and is a tad subplot-rich, this book makes up for it in originality and attention to detail.
Mandy Devlin moved away from her family and friends 12 years ago. If she told anyone who fathered her baby or returned before 10 years pass, she and her family would be bankrupt by her boyfriend’s great-aunt. She is a single mom who still dreams of the only man she loved. When she returns home she has no idea she would run into Adam, the man she lost years ago. Dr. Adam Montgomery has no clue Mandy is back in town. He also knows nothing of his son. He must marry within the next nine months in order to inherit from his great-aunt. Although he and Adam connect on his first night home, he believes she betrayed him years ago. She is not fit for marriage. As Valentine’s approach someone tries to kill Mandy. Is it Adam? Or can she trust him to protect her.
The story is so good. Two lost loves, separated by lies come face to face. Mandy and Adam have that instant connection all over again. The story takes a twist with someone out to get Mandy and her son. Each page is a thriller! I really enjoyed the whole of the story. The characters are amazing along with an interesting plot.
Sasha is just trying to survive now that the human world has been conquered by the alien Sions. When a theft at her job points to her, she’s thrust in the middle of the investigation with a sexy Sion named Dram. They have to work together to figure out who the thief is but will a forbidden romance between them lead to even more danger...
I would have loved more details right at the beginning about the Sion. They’re supposedly alien but they look like us? There really isn’t an explanation on them. Why would they look like us if they’re alien? How can you tell a Sion from a human? If the Sion were made a bit more, well alien, then I think it would have really rounded out the world building. The mystery is spot on. I love the unraveling of the jewel theft. It really kept me on the edge of my seat. Dram and Sasha have great chemistry when they’re together. Their romance is so beautiful and sweet, also hot! Ice water is definitely mandatory when reading this book. If you like romance and mystery, this book is sure to please you.
Trusting Justice is a highly recommended read!
