Courtney Glass is the wild child that has the worst taste in men and it finally catches up with her. She is accused of murder but she knows it was a setup and she’s afraid the real killer will target her next. The only one who believe her are family and a very attractive detective that grunts more than talks. Can Will unravel the mystery before it leads to Courtney’s fatal end?
This is the second glass sisters book. The first one was fabulous and you can find my review here. Courtney is my favorite of the two sisters. She’s just trying to live her life as a stylist and can’t seem to find a man worth even a penny. When she meets Will she’s attracted and she enjoys teasing him but when he teases back he blows her away. As they fight their attraction for the good of the case, the mystery deepens. I love the suspense. I also like how Courtney deals with her problems by running away. It just feels like a natural thing to do for her. The ending is freaking fantastic, both action and sweetness. I do wish there was more heat though. I think Will and Courtney could have been amazing in that department instead of good. The Glass Sisters series had proven to be a romantic suspense must read! I’m going to go find out what else this author has released.
Fiona is an artist working for all manner of law enforcement to draw suspects with such realism. She’s tired of it though, the pain in the eyes of victims, the stories of the hurt. She’s convinced herself to leave all that behind her but not before taking one last case. Jack has himself a serial killer but he can’t prove it and the only woman to survive has a bad reputation. Together can they catch a killer and heal each other?
I’ve only read one other Laura Griffin book and I enjoyed it. This one, wow, fabulous! I love Fiona. She’s an artist who has serious talent with victims and I love her personality. She wants to help but the toll it’s taking on her emotionally is becoming too much. She’s determined to move on but for some reason she can’t resist the sexy, honest good guy Jack. Jack is not giving up. He refuses to let a killer get away with taking so many innocent lives and then they catch a break, a witness. When that witness goes missing he finds out Fiona is literally on the killer heels. The suspense is fantastic. I mean top-notch, edge of your seat stuff. The romance is beautiful. I do wish it had more heat thought. They really have a great chemistry with each other up to a point. The secondary characters are also entertaining. I’m excited to read Fiona’s sisters story.
If you like romantic suspense than you have to read Thread of Fear!
