Knox is an assassin hired to catch Mick but this thief turns the tables and captures Knox.
This is different and fun and dark. I really love the way the author thought out of the box with this plot. Both Knox and Mick are great characters. They each have their own demons and I like how it all plays out. The sex is good, I like dabbling in the dangerous.
Caged Killer is a highly recommended read!
David is in love with his ex-step daughter. It’s intense and obsessive, boarding stalker behavior. Gillian isn’t close with her mother but considers David a friend. He saved her seven years ago when she was almost raped. She’s still fighting the nightmares but her life is coming together.
Intense, describes this book perfectly. David is intense. The sex is intense. I should have read this book while sitting under a cold shower. Damn! The romance is definitely well done in this book. David is a bit creepy at first, I mean, he’s following her around, but being in his point of view really cleared that up for me. He’s angry and overprotective and he’s not sure how to deal with those feelings so he goes over the line to keep her safe. Gillian is a sweet woman who’s lonely and utterly confused about men in general. She had that bad experience in the past and isn’t sure about her feelings for her ex stepfather. I love them together. The plot is just as intense as the characters. And I absolute love her realistic reaction when David admits he’s been following her. It’s honest, natural and feels very real. And that ending! I cannot stop reading. It is a wild fall from an immense height. It’s action and intensity. I cheered Gillian on and then grinned like a madwoman when David shows up.
My only issue and the reason for not giving this 5 sexy stars is that the edits are a bit rough. On a few occasions mistakes pulled me out of the story: they instead of the, onto instead of on top, cutting the engine in one paragraph then again in the next without turning the car back on, no instead of now, ect. That kind of stuff.
Only His is an intense book that should definitely be read by anyone looking for a sexy story and I highly recommend it!
This is the last book in the Dred Chronicles. Queen Dred, her lover Jael and a handful of Queenlanders remain on the prison ship. The ship is falling apart, Silence is trying to destroy them and there's only one choice left - breakout.
I think I'm running out of worlds to use for this series. Epic once again comes to mind. This is an awesome ending. There's growing love between Dred and Jael, crazy Silence, mutated rats, machines malfunctioning causing sickness, and yes, someone gets their tongue cut out. (That part was gross but well written). This isn't your typical sci fi romance. There's dark, gritty action with each tender kiss. We get to know the background of Silence and just how she ended up so nutty. And that ending was literally explosive.
I can't even pick a favorite book in the series, they're all fantastic. I think I'm having book withdrawal now that the series ended. This has to be made into a movie or series or something!
The Dred Chronicles is a sexy, dark sci fi that defines the word epic!
We start with a dark stint in the hospital for trying to commit suicide. Her father works for a company that cured autism, and are on the brink of other huge discovery’s. However, she is unique since the ‘happy juice’ doesn’t work on her. She’s also different because if she touches someone she gets a big glimpse of their mind. Thoughts, memories, fears, joys, it’s all uploaded into her brain with a single touch except for one person her father. Now, her mother is in a coma that she doesn’t believe is an accident. She literally trips over a boy named David who’s helping her investigate her father. And it all revolves around the drugs that may soon become mandatory for each person to take.
What a rush! What a ride! This book is freaking epic! And sad, hopeful, shocking, I’m trying to gather all my thoughts for the review. Mira, is in such torment, mentally, about what she can do it’s heartbreaking. When her mother is in the coma and David helps her it’s really rather amazing. The book comes together so flawlessly. The mystery aspect is perfect and spot on. I have my suspicions throughout the books and I was right but it is a wild ride getting there. So many twists and horrible but well written turns. I cannot stop reading! I want more books in this world.
Contact is an epic read that shouldn’t be missed! (Even if you don’t usually read young adult, give this book a try!)

Length: novel (Paperback purchased)

Rating: 4 Stars - Recommended Read!
I loved Ms. Hamilton's Merry Gentry Series. Anita Blake is her newest and on going series. At the moment it's 25 books long so I started with book one, Guilty Pleasures. We meet Anita, animator of the dead. Vampire killer. General badass. She's thrust in the middle of a vampire serial killer mystery and is forced to help by Master Vampire of the City. There we meet Jean-Claude. The only vampire she's ever been attracted too.
This was not a sweet romance. It was raw, gritty, action packed. I liked it a lot. Poor Anita is always stuck at the disadvantage. She's witty, sarcastic and can kiss ass when she has too. I loved her. The book could have used some romance. There was plenty of plot and action.
I recommend beginning this series with Guilty Pleasures. It's the first chance to meet the lead character. I can't wait to start the next book which I already ordered - The Laughing Corpse.
Clarin is helping Bethany get her sister back. That’s the simple plot. The complicated plot is that this is in the future with spaceships, domination and illegal slaves. Wow! Clarin has to teach Bethany to be a submissive to fit in with the illegal slaves so that they can save her sister. However, as the training progresses Bethany and Clarin start to fall in love.
This story was fantastic! I loved the world building, it was so wonderful. I felt like I was on the spaceship. There was this cool whip that would not leave a mark on a person but still cause a sting. Since it’s a domination/submission, I was confused when Bethany was calling Clarin master. Shouldn’t it be mistress? Later on, that is explained. The characters had a lot of layers which I enjoyed peeling back. There was action, hot lesbian sex and all of it in the darkness of space.
Breaking Bethany is a wonderful BDSM romance in a sci fi setting, a must read!

As Rak and Jisten grow closer and are now bonded, with the full approval of both their deities, they face disapproval from friends and family that do not understand Rak's past or the nature of their bond. The prophecy is still at risk and both men are still trying to keep the prince safe, but forces constantly
seem to conspire against them.
I really enjoyed this installment of the series. I was less of the dark actions as so many of the past events have been, and poor Rak seems to finally be finding some happy moments. Jisten is still fairly insecure, but in their lovemaking seems to be getting stronger emotionally and I can see how he is growing through his love of and receiving love from Rak. And, oh, yes! One of the villains finally got his comeuppance! It's about time that one of the bad guys exited stage left! It was nice to see all of Rak's time being spent with Jisten rather than being forced to do things against his will, and the scenes that take place in the Valer village are a good change from the time spent in the palace or the Sun Temple.
This book gives the reader of the series a much needed breather from the intensely difficult scenes of many of the past books without sacrificing movement in the plot. Of course, as difficult as protecting the prince has been in the past, I predict that future installments will have some nearly insurmountable obstacles for Rak and Jisten to fight again! I also feel that along the series the writing has improved.
The Mesmer Society Part 3
Author A.R. Lain
Length : 39 pages
TBR Reviewer: Shyla
Rating: 3 Stars - A Good Read.
Heat: 4 - An Erotic Ride.
This is the third book in the Mesmer series. In case you haven’t read the other two ,I’ll give you a brief
run down, however, this is a series that must be read in order. Elliot is a journalist trapped in a web of her own making. Unsure, scared, and a bit lost¸ it was painful for me to watch her try to find her way. Sent to obtain a story on an underground sex club she winds up a member exploring her own interests.
Uncomfortable with the dark, kinky thoughts, she feels is wrong, Ellie fights them every step of the way, making the road for her, and her sexy, mysterious, mentor, Luke, very difficult, to say the very least. I’ve been hoping for morsels about the soft spoken man who’d been absence from the club for some time. I was delighted to find the author gave us some tasty nibbles. *Smacks lips and rubs hands together with glee*. This book was all about journeys, the ones Elliot takes within herself, and the one she takes with Luke. I gave this story a three because of the awkward starting point, stopping point, and lack of forward moving plot. At times it felt more like chapters of a story, rather than a stand alone piece.
The Mesmer society lives in a world removed from our own, but as the veil is lifted it’s easy to see they’re more like us then we thought. Sexy, edgy, and intriguing, this story isn’t your average erotic romance.
Cyberpunk Erotica by Ora Le Brocq
Genre: Futuristic, Dark, Erotica
TBR Reviewer: Brutally Honest
Rating: 5 stars – A Must Read.
Heat: 5 handcuffs – Orgasmic.
Welcome to the future, dark, depraved and made for the rich. Zara is among the broke, in a crappy neighborhood, doing illegal thing so she had money for food. She’s captured by the corporation and
experimented on. What will her future hold?
This was unique and dark. The author created a violent world that was genuinely scary and somewhat understandable. The world is ruled by the rich. Zara is a great character, she sick of her life, of a crappy boyfriend and her lack of funds. The experiment changes this in ways that no one expected, including me. I really found this story to be very gloomy but still entertaining. It was really well written but it really did lack that bit of hope. That spark at the end of the book was missing but at the same time the ending fit perfectly.
So I’m going with five stars because I read this book in one sitting (yes, into the early hours of the morning) and I couldn’t put it down. Cyberpunk Erotica is a gritty story about the darkness and
depravity of mankind.
