Jade Matthews is young, but she knows what she wants in a man: someone mature and kinky. A man who shares her deepest desires to have her pregnant and submissive in the bedroom. Archer Brennan aches to unleash his dark side on the too-young grocery bagger. With an ex-wife and a messy divorce threatening to destroy his pursuit of happiness, he binds himself to one rule: hands-off.
This story is so good. Jade is sweet and shy, yet she has a dark side that needs to be fulfilled. Archer is a nice guy that is dealing with a lot. He too has a dark side and he wants to explore it with Jade. I like how the story starts slowly. Archer and Jade take their time getting to know one another first. The build-up to their first encounter makes it perfect and smoking hot.

Love can be the biggest battlefield of all.
In rural England of 1814, 24-year old Nancy Worth is considered past her prime as she watches her younger sister be married before Nancy is even 'offered for'. Though the daughter of a reasonably well-to-do farmer, she's not gentry and her options for a husband are limited. But Nancy will not marry where there is not love, and when her father agrees to the marriage proposal of the heinous but handsome landowner Bartholomew Boult, she intends to put up a fight.
This is a delightful period piece that despite the lack of steamy love scenes, keeps the reader enthralled page after page. The authenticity that the author imbues, in both description and dialogue is wonderfully entertaining, and the detail too distinct to be anything but true.
But in the two hundred years since the setting of this story, it is painfully apparent there is still no more treacherous, heartbreaking and hazardous battlefield than love. The misunderstandings, strategic maneuverings, wrongly perceived intentions and plain bad timings that befall Nancy and the man she truly desires, Will Carlton, are as heart-wrenching and frustrating as any romance today.
While it would have been nice to see more of the tender interaction between Nancy and Will as they grow closer to each other, their fortuitous reunion in the midst of a real-life battlefield reminds us that Love against the odds is always worth fighting for.

Looking for some sweet romance? Something so sweet that it may just make your teeth hurt? Stop right here, Sweet Inspirations is your treat and it’s 0 calories!
Cadence owns a yarn business and she is the nicest person in this small town. Rafe is the motorcycle riding, music playing stranger. Together they start a romance but some unexpected opportunity may just tear them apart.
This is an adorable romance. If you like the Hallmark Channel movies than this is one that’s going to be perfect for you. I love Cadence and her personality, even if she is a little weak in the backbone department. I know a few people like that. Rafe is handsome and has a great opportunity but will this blooming romance stand in the way? This romance is not the x rated kind which is exactly what I was looking for at the moment.

Title: Harper's Place
Author: Sheryl Winters
Genres: Contemporary, Romance
TBR Reviewer: Amy
Rating: 3 Stars - A Good Read!
Heat: 2/5 - Flirty!
Harper is fed up with the men in her life. Her father will not sell the family restaurant to her because he thinks she will fail. She thinks she can make it succeed like her mother did. Then Patrick O’Brien, Navy Seal dares her to do just that. Just when Harper and Patrick start to explore their feelings, Patrick leaves for service and Harper's must run the restaurant alone.
The story is promising! Harper is interesting and I enjoyed where her story is heading. Then Patrick comes home for a visit and they seemed to reconnect. They are both good for one another however I want more of their story. Especially, once they are a couple. The story is short and because of the length, a lot is left out.
The Crimson Curse is an adult twist on the classic story Beauty and The Beast. In this story the beast is Calliope and the ‘petals’ are quickly falling…
I love, love, love the twist that beast is a woman. It really gave the story that modern feel. Both Calliope (beast) and her love, Bastian are great characters. I really like the addition of his daughter too. It ties in with the classic story. The romance is sweet rather than intense or hot. I would have liked the story to be longer, to really get into the plot because in certain places it is a bit rushed. But that’s a minor detail. I really enjoyed this book.
If you like the retelling of fairytales, then The Crimson Curse is a highly recommended read!

Title: Reality Meets Its Match
Author: Sharon Hughson
Genres: Contemporary, Romance
TBR Reviewer: Amy
Rating: 3 Stars - A Good Read!
Heat: 1/5 - Tame
Ronnie isn’t willing to risk her feelings with a relationship. Virtual Match offers her the perfect fake boyfriend. However, unexpected feelings start between her and her pretend boyfriend. Now a secret from the past has resurfaced, one that Ronnie thought she banished years ago. When her virtual boyfriend wants to meet, reality ruins a chance with a connection from a not so-invincible guy.
I like the idea of Ronnie’s story. Her need to create a fake boyfriend is clever. I also love the comical text banter between the two. Two complete opposites find something amazing without any physical contact. Then the two meet and it all seems to be lost. I would have loved more of the two after they met. I feel like their story is left hanging. I want to know what happens next and the author doesn't provide that. This is why I gave Reality Meets its Match three stars.
A sweet paranormal romance anthology…yeah, I can’t pass this up! This is an anthology by Roane Publishing.
Each story is absolutely sweet and I would even think this could be in the Young Adult section. Although the stories are on the rushed side, they’re fun to read and have wonderful plots. It’s the almost fairytale like book that really keeps you entertained. They are so sweet I am smiling and craving a good Disney movie. I know my kids will be joining me for that.
If you like sweet romance, Masked Hearts is highly recommended!
Title: Trouble In Paradise
Author: London St. James
Length: Novel, 250 pgs
Genres: Menage, Western, Contemporary,
TBR Reviewer: Jean
Rating: 3 stars - a good read
Heat: 5 - orgasmic
I should have stayed in Dallas!
That 's exactly what editor-turned-ranch owner Sutton Calloway is thinking after multiple assaults on her person, livestock and property at Paradise Ranch threaten to overwhelm her. With her parents gone and her grandmother recently passed, Sutton inherits her childhood home and leaves her city job to take over the reins (pardon the pun) of a Texas cattle ranch called Paradise. The pretty, blond and shapely Ms Calloway takes on big trouble not only in running the huge operation but fending off rival landowners as well as two (count 'em) two ridiculously sexy locals that won't keep their hands off her. So many obstacles are enough to make a gal 'take a no-time' (rodeo talk) and walk away from Paradise forever.
Okay, I gotta go 'native' on this one, and say that those of y'all who can't get yer fill of stereotypical country jargon, music, clothing and cowboys are gonna love this story. Can't rightly say I'm one of them, but reckon I can see its appeal to those that do. I've read this author's work before and chose the book on that basis. When I was just about to 'take a no-time' for myself after stumbling across 'a passle o' typos' (This review is based on an advanced reader copy, however.) I'd say things got interesting "in the bedroom department" except that most of the hot action takes place just about everywhere except the bedroom! When I say hot, I mean hot dawg diggity damn hot...as in 'I ain't never seen the like o' such mud-wrasslin, lip-smackin, out-behind- the-woodshed dirty doins' afore. Tarnation, its enough ta make a body plumb furgit all about the dang typos. Y'all might need a skinny dip in the local swimmin' hole after reading a few of these scenes. (I really did love how the author wrote these scenes!!)
While its not inconceivable, in Texas anyway, that a gal might have to return to the farm and be solo among an all-male population, its a bit much to believe Sutton's perfect looks, body, wardrobe, etc. etc. makes every male character within eyeshot fall weakly to his knees for her. Needless to say its not long before things start "falling" off Sutton, mostly her clothing and her virtue. Her two main squeezes however, Kale and Flint have some great character development and things in their own tortured pasts that draw them to Sutton. The pair make a classic "good-boy, bad-boy" combination, tearing our heroine in two directions.
If you can get past the country rhetoric, Trouble in Paradise has a good flow and enough action to hold up its 250 pages. The troubles Sutton faces are real enough and readers can sympathize, in the end, with both her dilemma and her situation. Speaking of ends, the conclusion of this story may leave more than a few readers 'a-cussin'.
Title: Finding Freedom
Author: Lynn Burke
Genres: Romance, Contemporary
TBR Reviewer: Amy
Rating: 3 Stars - A Good Read
Heat: 3/5 - Blush Worthy
Tessa leads a boring life due to her parents strict rules and their cult like religion. She longs for more and for her freedom. Her job as a check-out store is boring and barely covers her bills leaveing her know way to have what she desires. Then the weekly visits from Trent and Brody having her daydream of being sandwiched between them. When Trent and Brody ask her on a date she decides to take a chance. Is this her chance of freedom with these two men or will this be her downfall?
Tessa’s story was different. Her parents were extremely religious and thus affects her life even though she is grown. As you start to get to know her you discover that she is dying inside and wants to break free and enjoy life without shame from her parents. Her fantasies of being with Trent and Brody make her want more. Trent and Brody are good guys and they teach her not to be ashamed of who she is and what she believes in. An interesting story with very enjoyable characters. I give the story 3 stars because I felt it needed a little more heat since this is a menage.
This is a collection of short stories where the best bad boys are featured. This collection has six short stories about Bad Boys. Some I loved, some I liked but overall all, a great collection of stories. I gave this a 4 because I felt that the boys in each story weren’t as bad as I was hoping. To me they were a little tame especially for what the title offered.
Unrepentant by Lila Shaw: Amy Burns has won the lottery, but instead of this being good her family is driving her crazy with wanting a handout. She moves west for a new start. This is where she meets Jazz at the local gym. The two form an instant attraction however she is unsure if she can trust him since he’s an ex-con. I really liked the story. Great story and the chemistry between the two was off the charts.
Over the Edge by Stella Berkley: Roman wants Sloane, the only problem is that she has belonged to his best friend. So that makes her off limits. Sloane wants Roman and all the kink he has to offer, however he won’t touch her because she used to be with his best friend. Then one night changes everything for them. This is another good story for me. I love the inner struggle Roman has with himself wanting to do the right thing but yet not wanting to give in to Sloane. All in all a great story.
Death’s Angel by Kastil Eavenshade: Constantine, an incubus is hurting. Four years ago he lost his love because of a vampire. Now he has vowed revenge. Constantine has managed to get captured and is tortured and teased. This is where he meets Indira, she is half-werewolf. The two of them must stay together if they want to escape and survive. However the overwhelming lust they feel consumes them and they end up together, surprising them both. This is the only paranormal story out of the six and I liked it a lot. You have two different species that work well together. Made for a great read.
Finding Forever by Lynn Burke: Sam is a love them and leave them kind of girl. One day at the supermarket, a god like Zeus walks in and she wants a piece of him. However when she discovers this god is Jason, the boy who drove her teenage hormones wild she decides to have a little fun. After one night together it seems they can’t get enough of one another. I enjoyed this story. Long lost crush comes back and they see where it goes. All in all a great read.
Temptations of the Cage by R. Brennan: Katrina needs a job to help support her ailing grandmother. So she applies for a job as a waitress for a local BDSM club. This is where she meets owner Damien. The two of them have an instant connection however he doesn’t date the employees so she must decide, her job or the man? I liked this story. The inner struggle Katrina has kept me in suspense. The two have great chemistry and I wanted to see them explore it. Another great read for me.
Without Words by Lolly Tova: Ivy is heading to her high school reunion. She is dreading this since most of it was awful due to her classmates tormenting her. Her only bright time there was Ollie. Ollie now a famous rock star snags an invite to the reunion for only one purpose, Ivy. He wants to make sure that she is righted by all the people who did her wrong. Ollie has been in love with Ivy since school and nothing has changed. The two embark on something wonderful together. This is another favorite of mine. Ollie and Ivy are great together.
